I really enjoyed this. I've read a lot on Law of Attraction and as the author says most books tend to think of wealthy as the amount you have in your bank balance and wealth can actually cover many things depending on viewpoint. I've took some good things from it. Setting intentions at the beginning of every month. I know I mentioned it isn't always about wealth but get started & because the other areas in my life will take a bit more thought I set the intention that 'wouldn't it be nice' (and I love that phrasing rather than 'I want...') that an extra £500 on top of my wage would be great, thanks. We're 2 days in and I've won £7.80 on the lottery and had a message saying I'd won 20 coins in my receipt app monthly draw. I've been using that app for 18 months with no luck on the monthly draws. Small amounts yes but as Emma says part of the intention is to have something but also the acceptance that you may not. I would love an extra £500 but I was just as happy getting my 2 lottery wins (£5 & £2.80). We still have another 29 days to go...
Another thing I liked was the use of an intentions box - either a decorated shoe box or a self made postbox. A great way to set the intention and let it go is to write it down and then place away in the box. I've a wood box my mum bought me at Xmas a few years ago that needs decorating. It would work perfect for this.
Some of the chapters I knew about but I've looked at this subject before. I think for a beginner it's great and teaches you a lot and even with knowledge I've found some fabulous things to take from it. Really fun and enjoyable.
I heard Emma Mumford on a podcast, and felt the need to read her book post-listen. I kind of wish I hadn't. Mumford learned about the law of attention 2 or 3 years prior to writing this book, and it changed her life so much. But her lack of experience with it, oversimplification, "grab your favorite crystal," gratitude lists. There's nothing new in this book, and there are many books that do this much better. Her language was a bit much for me...I get being super cas, but after the 1,000th "queen," I was ready to scream. I didn't feel like the "31 day"(or however many days it is) program really helped me become positively wealthy. I do like that she emphasizes it's not just want, you have to have action, but I could see someone seriously broke reading this book and throwing it across the room, with an "F you, Queen!"
Positively Wealthy is a guide to manifesting abundance for those who want to redefine the meaning of wealth in their lives using Law of Attraction methods. There are daily challenges to complete over 33 days,
It's a book of positive thinking about your life and wealth (not always money) and knowing that the Universe will provide if you think about it in the right frame of mind or precisely enough. In a way I see it as reading your star sign and if you interpret it in the right way then yes that happened to you that day or week.
It seems that this is not the sort of book that appeals to me, all that asking the Universe for stuff but might be for another who believes this. I'm open to things but not this; nor am I into holding crystals.
I received this book from Netgalley in return for a honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. Some of the tools and ideas I use already, but there were new ideas and take aways still. The chapters are short and easy to read in one day(for me anyway) and I liked how easy it was to read and understand. I did see changes in my financial wealth, but it also had me thinking about other areas of wealth in my life that I wouldn't have considered. The gentle nudge needed to implement my morning routine again and some affirmations and tasks that have stuck with me. I will be re-doing this book over and over!
Even though I don’t feel I have the right, I am rating this book to keep up my streak. I feel like you have to do the challenge to be able to fairly rate this book. I didn’t do that I just listened to it today. I actually love the steps though. I’ve tried all activities before but I feel like using this method to focus on one thing for 33 days would be amazing. Looking forward to trying in the future x
I didn't have any expectations when I was going into this book. I have to say this covers a lot of subjects in very fascinating and informative ways. I also liked the fact it didn't focus mostly on the financial side of being wealthy with money.
I haven't tried any of the 33 day challenges from the book itself yet, but hopefully one of these days I can. The areas I found that were of great gain to be were relationships, forgiveness, emotional tapping, grounding, meditation and a lot more. Emma Mumford's style of writing was very easy to understand and there was something personal and friendly to her voice.
Overall, a very good read. A lot different to the manifesting books I've read previously in the past.
My lovely friend Emma introduced me to the world of Emma Mumford via her Spiritual Queen’s Badass Podcast and then was kind enough to lend me this book! Thank you to both Emma’s! 😅✨💓
Positively Wealthy is a 33 daily challenge guide. You read a chapter a day in which Emma explains the purpose of the daily practice, followed by a summary of the day’s suggested task. Each day starts and ends the same with a new suggested exercise in the middle.
While there were some practices that I was already aware of, it was still fun to go over these again, and there were a lot of practices I hadn’t experienced before!
I really enjoyed the introduction to EFT and the Tap with Brad Money Magnet video. This was totally new to me and it 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 worked! I have also loved manifesting with the moon cycles and will definitely add this to my toolbox going forwards. Redefining your wealth story was another favourite of mine!
I successfully manifested several things whilst doing this challenge - most interestingly a surprise book gift. I asked the universe for this, let it go and then *𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐦* a book I was not expecting was posted through my letterbox. Amazing!
I’m sometimes reluctant to engage with “challenge” books as my obsessive nature has me stressing out if I don’t have time to complete them but I needn’t have worried. I found Emma’s daily challenges easy to complete as I was enjoying doing them so much! They all left me feeling lighter, more accomplished and more… 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺. ✨
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone new to spirituality and manifesting - it’s a great starting point!
I was bought by this as a gift so felt obliged to read it. I wish I hadn’t. With the exception of a couple of chapters on proven techniques such as grounding and EFT, this was utter nonsense and at times quite irresponsible. I don’t think it’s right to be suggesting to readers that they can ‘manifest’ whatever they want ; a boyfriend, an extra £1000, a new job and the Universe will provide it. The Universe won’t provide it. Apparently, Emma ‘manifested’ her new boyfriend who hilariously scored 83% on her suitability scale. ( I’d love to know how she measured this and also what his reaction was. Although he was later bumped up to an impressive 98%). The target audience probably isn’t me as the reader was irritatingly referred to as ‘Queen’ repeatedly.
Emma also seems confused to how she wants to come across. Part of her wants to be a ‘badass’ and so she uses the occasional swear word. But it’s so infrequent that it just comes across as awkward and like someone trying to be shocking. I’m sure it suits some people but I thought it was complete nonsense.
I really enjoyed reading this book, it felt like it was brimming with positivity. I’m a big believer in manifestation, so this is a great read. I would definitely recommend it for those who need positivity in their lives.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
I've just completed the book as part of a Law of Attraction book club. I've loved the past 33 days. Similar to 'The Magic' with daily challenges but with a much more modern twist. I love the fact that you can skip challenges if they don't align. There's also a great emphasis on self-care. Highly recommend!
An uplifting book, with brilliant daily practices. I gave it 4 stars, as I found some of the chapters and challenges quite lengthy and was unable to complete them every day, but overall I absolutely loved it and was introduced to some great new rituals.
Having just read Hurt, Healing, Healed there was too much overlap with this one and it was very repetitive with regurgitated info and suggestions from authors I have already read such as Gabby Bernstein. A good starter book if you’re just getting into manifesting etc though.
Absolutely loved this, may have taken me several months to go through it but will definitely be reading it again over the years and purchasing for friends. Emma is really gifted and I’m so glad I came across her and her wonderful, positive work.
Absolutely love this book! Such a great way to keep your positivity and gratitude in alignment. Great challenges to do daily and come back to over and over again.
I was hoping this book would help me to positively change my relationship with money & finance - and it did! But not just those things. I really feel like the small daily habits I’ve added to my routine have helped me become more positive about life! I happened to read Atomic Habits by James Clear during the same month I did this, combined with the course material from my Inner MBA, the whole month has been one of moving forward into positivity. Not everything in the book resonated with me, and that’s okay. I received what I needed and it has had a really positive impact on my life. So a big thank you to Emma for ‘birthing’ this book! By sharing the things that have worked in your life, you’re helping others shift too. So grateful! 💕
This is classic self-help, with a positive tone and ideas, and lots of exercises. It won't be for everyone, but there are some good ideas and approaches. If you've read much about manifesting, there probably won't be much new to you. If you want to manifest something, this book may help you do it or at least get closer.
If you are familiar with the Laws of Attraction or manifesting then you might not find much 'new' material here. but Emma Mumford presents a straightforward approach to help you be wealthy. In life, in love, in whatever you need, there are simple steps to enhance your life. A very positive book.
This book is not for me, I’m really not into the whole manifestation thing, but it is an easy read and may appeal to someone less sceptical. These type of books are certainly very popular with library customers.
