It’s funny this volume made me do almost a 180 about how I feel about the series. This one was way more fun, the worldbuilding is really interesting, the fights are dark and unique and it reminded me a bit of Dragon Ball. I’m actually excited to keep up with this series now!
I’m not sure this Manga knows what kind of manga it wants to be and I get the feeling, unfortunately, that maybe there isn’t a plan on where this is going… however, I am going to continue reading this for the meantime.
Okay let's change how the series works now, it's JRPG. Or maybe an MMO? With quests you have to complete for rewards or punishments. We get our first ACTUAL bad guy here, with Spoil! That's a good choice for a first proper enemy. The whole arc with Gina was about "change" and Fuuko arguing that changing is good, but here's an Uma who's whole thing is 'changing' things by making them decay and destroying them- with humans being the type of beings that want to delay 'spoiling'. That's cool. It makes Undead a cool matchup against him since he doesn't really spoil, he's immortal!
I love how Tozuka will drop little bits of world-building into minor reveals. Like in the last volume where Gina and Fuuko casually revealed that stars just... didn't exist. Or now, where just aren't a thing. Like obviously people running around with superpowers means this isn't 'our' world, but I'm so much more intrigued by other things being so weird.
For overall quality I like that there were more creative uses of Unluck. And by that I mean some willing use of Unluck, or other people receiving its effects instead of it just being Andy groping Fuuko all the time. The fight scenes are solid, I like the creative applications of different negator powers but I think Undead Unluck has a problem in many of these abilities having to be explained away and it affects pacing negatively. Art is pretty good, Fuuko is really cute sometimes (and so is Shen, he's such a cutie pie), the design of Spoil is real good. The actual combats are fine but there's yet to be really good choreography.
Je me suis enfin décidée à me mettre à jour dans celle ci!
I had an absolute blast with this volume. I can't get over just how fun this series is. The little details and grand scale of everything here really make this enjoyable, like every chapter has one censor bar over Andy and it's like a where's waldo experience to try and find it. The actual plot is pretty straight forward and really cool. The book of the apocalypse has different quests that the 10 negators of the round table have to complete or new rules/limits will be placed on the world. But if they complete the quests they get different rewards such as umas or different negators. Also, the person that completes the most quests gets to lead the group. Their first quest is to take out Spoil, which is one of the rules incarnate. It turns a city into a place of zombies, has multiple forms, and Andy marries a zombie because that's her dream. Andy, Fuuko, and Shen then engage in one heck of a fight against Spoil, which ends with it sent into space and Andy's boss form, Victhor/Victor coming out to play. Victor is one heck of a cool guy and it's taking all ten of the round table negators to defeat him. I wonder what will happen in the next volume.

Fuuko Izumi, nicknamed Unluck, has the power of unluck. Anyone who touches her skin-to-skin dies. In the last volume, she meets the immortal Undead and promptly names him Andy. They decide to team up. In Undead Unluck Vol 2, the duo finds a group of fellow negators. But to join, they must prove their abilities to the other members. Six quests are presented to the team. Undead selects the most difficult one for himself, Unluck and current member, Mr. Shen. They must capture Uma Spoil, who is leading a legion of zombies in New York City.
Wow, you definitely get your money’s worth with this compilation. There are nine chapters included. There are a bunch of new abilities and weapons too. The action is non-stop. Spoil’s artwork is awesome! He looks like a one-eyed mecha-batman.
I highly recommend Undead Unluck Vol 2. It’s even better than Vol 1. 5 stars and a favorite!
Thanks to VIZ Media and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.
I read the official English translation on an app called “MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA”. Gina would’ve been a really nice character to continue seeing; especially with her connection to Andy. I really enjoy the dynamic between Shen, Andy, & Fuuko, and am very excited to see more of the trio. Overall a great continuation from the 1st volume and I’m excited for more.
Andy and Fuuko join the ten member union to stop being captured by those who want their powers. We got to see more of Andy's wild personality, his longing to bone Fuuko and we got to know more about Shen. Andy also took the chip out of his head so he could use his full power which was wild.

After the first one, I decided to give it another shot. I did not like this second one and it was just confusing to me. It's just not my thing and it's fine.
I'm not sure how to write this review without spoilers. But I love that they are not afraid to kill characters off and we got a nice world building and backstory dump
I loved this one even more than volume one! I loved getting to know the characters more, and there were a lot of the scenes that made me emotional. Can’t wait for the next volume.
