A plane. Flesh-eating boars. A stolen 1978 El Camino and a clue to his family's whereabouts. It's five years later and Ted is just getting started. It's a race to salvation but his enemies aren't far behind. For fans of Jack Reacher and Max Max, Fury Road, you'll enjoy this page-turning follow-up to The Doomsday Drifter. One reviewer stated this was "a worthy sequel with continued excitement equal to the first."This is book two of The Doomsday Drifter series. Read book one to get caught up!
I've read a few books in my time that are absorbing. This series will be counted amongst them. The characters are engrossing, and Ted, though flawed, holds your interest to see what he will do, next. Admittedly, a couple incidences have convenient fixes, but still grab your attention, raise the threat level of the character, and has you rooting for him. I am so looking forward to the third installment of the series, to see what's next for Ted, Jock, and the others. Can civilization come back? Can people find their humanity again, or degenerate into warring clans, scraping and killing just to survive? Definitely recommend this series to anyone looking for a book that's hard to put down.
