S.D. Brown taught elementary, middle grade, high school, and junior college for over twenty years—on three continents and in seven schools. She continues to present workshops and is the owner-curator of the largest, privately owned gem and mineral museum in California. When she’s not working with rocks, she’s working on manuscripts, traveling, gardening, painting, and doing the dishes.

The picture book "EVERY NUMBER COUNTS by SD Brown" is a cute story about numbers that will surely appeal to younger children who are just learning numbers. Sympathetically drawn colorful numbers and a cheerful story could attract children, parents could easily explain the meaning of numbers through play. .Young children love colorful colors that attract their attention and this picture book succeeds in that because I am convinced it will attract attention. The writer has made an effort to easily attract children’s attention and I would recommend this book to parents who have young children.

This is a great story that centers on Number 1, he feels lonely because there are no other "1s" in class, while "2s" and "3s" team up together. But 1 is determined to find a friend, and he will try very hard for it.

Fun and colorful book, an amazing way for kids to learn the numbers.

Kids will enjoy this tale for sure.

Every Number Counts is a fun illustrated story for small children that teaches about numbers as well as about making friends. Poor number 1 is the only number 1 in its classroom. The two 2s are friends, the three 3s, and all the way up to the nine 9s. But poor little number 1 doesn't have a buddy! What happens when little number 1 sets out to look for a friend?

Every Number Counts is an excellent book for very young readers. It is filled with vibrant pictures and a fun story of a lonely number in quest for a friend, told in a fun rhyme. I recommend this book to show your children who are just learning numbers.
