what a tangled web we weave

Hermes was married to the top defense attorney in Philadelphia. Little did she know her perfect world would come crashing down around her. Her husband was cheating and had a baby on the way. His illegal dealings had brought a gangster to her door named Rio! Hermes has an interaction with Rio at his club that would change their lives forever. Lies, deceptions and the truth mixed in leads to deadly consequences. A great read!

Now this was a good ass book! Met this author at the BRBF and fell in love with the cover and knew I wanted to check out the book. Baby this book could’ve been a little longer but I LOVED the story line. This may be one of the first books I ever read that didn’t end the way I would’ve liked so I’m still figuring out my feelings on that lmao. Great read! Cant wait to read more from this author.

Loved this book

This was a great book. Cap had a lot of nerves and I'm happy that him and Tia got the ending that they got. I hate what happened to Rio and I did not see that ending happening like that. I'm happy that Hermes made it out to the other side. This is a must read.

This was a wild story, and I loved every bit of it. Cap, Hermes, Tia, and Rio had all kinds of dealings and going on. There was infidelity, lying, killing, and just plain living secret lives, to name a few.

There was a crazy drama with the husband getting his paralegal pregnant and moving her on the property after the birth of their son. There is definitely tension between the wife and mistress. I thought that he was absolutely nuts! Why did he think his wife would be accepting of this?

I liked the get back though, when the wife went on a spending spree with the money from her husband's client. The husband was quite stupid by humiliating and disrespecing his wife, with kind of pimping her out, by making her return the $ back to the client. BIG MISTAKE! 🤣And then it happens! Ole girl gets turned out by the client. 😂 They catch feelings! They fall in love!

Let's just say that noone is who they appear to be eventually. Everyone has a little secret. A page turner from start to finish.

I was rooting for the wife and the client, Rio. Could care less about the dirty-dog husband. The ending was not what I expected. I didn't see that coming! I absolutely loved this story. ❤️❤️

omg

I absolutely loved it. It was so emotional! I literally laughed, cried, sighed and side eyed my way through this book! It’s definitely not the typical urban romance. Usually I’m not too fond of unfaithful female main characters but babyyyyyy! This one right here was exceptional! No spoilers but I will say that if you’re looking for a Happily Never After then this one is for you!

Almost a 4 star read for me the book took totally different turn then I expected, and tha ending really blew me. I really wanted this story to go a different way.
I wish rio and Hermes would’ve got some understanding and unanswered questions resolved and why did he have to be unalived :(
Hermes didn’t deserve any of what she went through! She literally got the short end of the stick the entire book.

This book didn’t end like I expected it to but that’s what makes it a great book. I’m not even trying to spoil it but just know it’s worth reading. This book was messy but you know I love a good messy read. Let me add this cheating on your spouse and bringing home a baby and wanting me to accept it is a big H NO.

Three and a 1/2 stars. These folks made me so mad. I spent most of the book yelling at the pages. Lol! A stuck wife, a husband who’s got his nerve, a side chick that doesn’t know her position, and a hustler that needs love, too. Whew!!! You won’t be bored, that’s for sure!
