In the novel Tamed, Legend of the Nephilim, Book 1, by author Sarah Witenhafer, this reviewer found something expected and unexpected. Expected was the love story between a man and a woman. Unexpected was the man’s background and the involvement of the Almighty. I can truly say this story is—fantastically different. Loved it. I’m ready for Book 2.
From the book cover: Reign Phillips is a brand-new PhD in ancient languages. Her boss professor returns from Greece with treasure for the university—the mummified remains of a cult sacrifice and a gold casket, which doesn’t fit any time period. Accompanying the casket is Damon Sarantos, a mysterious business exec who is determined to protect his property and win Reign's heart.
As Reign decodes the casket's strange writings, she begins to suspect that Damon is far more than an arrogant, irresistible temptation. And that her role in his life brings more dangers than she could have ever imagined.
I’d have to rate this story as PG-13 for violence, heat, and mature themes. Still, I highly recommend it.
Great book, keeps the pages turning, and you never get bored. Like the way something that is part angel, could be considered a demon. Never thought about it that way.
