Robot the Helper Robot

Rate this book
Frog and Toad meets Deep Space Nine! Robot is a helper robot, not an investigator robot. But a mysterious creature is roaming the halls on Science Outpost B-333, and the scientists and crewmembers seem worried. Robot is on the case!Because Robot isn't a boy or a girl (Robot is a robot), this series is designed to teach the singular they pronoun. The first book introduces Robot without mentioning gender, then the second book specifically focuses on the issue, and further books use the singular they throughout the text. Many adults struggle to retrain their brains to get used to non-gendered pronouns, but there's no reason the next generation can't grow up with the singular they as a natural part of their speech, and Robot the Robot can help.In addition, because Robot has trouble understanding emotions and dealing with social situations, the series will particularly appeal to children both on and off the Autism spectrum who have similar struggles. The ebook editions are optimized for tablet reading so the text appears large and readable on a Kindle Fire or iPad. Since they don't need the kindle software's text enlargement function, they use it to include pop-up definitions for more difficult words and secret messages instead!Geared toward early readers, this is the first children's picture book from Chooseomatic Books and Arabella Grimsbro author Matt Youngmark.

Great read for a 6-year old

My grandson loves stories about robots. I look forward to reading this with him next week when I see him in person for the first time in two years!
