When the doctor's widow also dies, Helen checks herself into a convalescent home to discover the truth surrounding the mysterious deaths. Edgewood Manor is the perfect place for Helen to recover from a gunshot wound and do a little detective work. Good plan--as long as she doesn't die in her sleep.
Book 2: Red Sky in Mourning
Helen receives an assignment to write a guide book about the Long Beach Peninsula on the Washington coast. What begins as research, ends up being a criminal investigation as she teams up with Coast Guard, investigator, Adam Jorgenson, to discover a fisherman's dark secret and his killer.
Book 3: A Haunting Refrain
Summoned by her eccentric uncle to his secluded island resort, Helen discovers that attempts have been made on Paddy’s life. She turns her attention to his safety and finds a suspect around every corner. The faithful housekeeper and nurse, as well as the family, stand to inherit millions giving them all motive. One suspect she couldn’t have imagined, though, is a legendary ghost, Mary Werner, who purportedly haunts the castle. Could Mary’s innocent hauntings have turned deadly?
Book 4: When Shadows Fall
A walk on the beach turns tragic when Helen discovers a body pinned beneath a large piece of driftwood. The body is identified as Mayor Ethan Crane and his death is no accident. Ethan is the second Bay Village mayor to die within two months. Are their deaths related? Evidence points to Helen's best friend, Rosie. Helen must prove her friend's innocence even if it means risking her own life.
