No one looks at her twice because of her size… hence she turns to mail order bride.

Rosalind Lee has been a large, beautifully curvy woman for most of her adult life. When her father dies and leaves her in the midst of insurmountable debts, she is forced to turn to become a mail order bride.

Cassidy Gerber, a single father and saloon owner in Evergreen, Wyoming writes to Rosalind, proposing marriage.

When Rosalind arrives, she finds life out west to be far more difficult than she had imagine – made worse when two strangers need to make their marriage work.

As self-confidence, natural disasters, and an evil moneylender threaten their relationship, Rosalind must learn to value herself for the beautiful and kind woman that she is.

And Cassidy, realizing that his love for his wife might be too little, too late, is forced to confront a terrible truth…

Out in the trying, untamed west, Rosalind and Cassidy fight for love and acceptance as their feelings, and their true selves, are put to the test.

A surprise in almost every chapter!

I’m not usually into historical romances, and I have to admit that when I started reading this book I really was expecting to become quickly bored with it and to give up on the story entirely. What a shocker to find myself totally engrossed in the story and the characters, so much that I wanted to read more about Evergreen and the wonderful people that lived there. If you enjoy getting lost with the characters this is that book! 😍📖

Rosalind's father has recently passed away, leaving her with his rather large gambling debt to pay off. Unfortunately, as he had gambled away any savings they may have once had, she has no way to do so, though one of the debt collectors seems to be interested in making a bargain for her virtue in exchange for the debt payments.

Unwilling to accept such an offer, she attempts to find another option as a mail order bride. To her pleasant surprise, a man named Cassidy is looking for a woman to marry, and almost immediately Rosalind flees from her home seeking the hope of a new life, even if she isn't exactly what Cassidy is likely expecting to show up.on his doorstep.

I've said it before, I enjoy Ms. Linnington's stories. She always provides us with interesting characters that seem like they may never connect, often due to one or both of them hiding something important about their past. In this case, Cassidy had not mentioned that he has a son or anything else about his past, and Rosalind's picture in the catalogue was extremely out of date from her current appearance. And of course, there was also the unpaid debt that she ran away from.

Watching the two of them getting to know and trust each other, as well as seeing how Rosalind learns to connect with Casey's son Dillon, a boy who at first resents the idea of another woman replacing the mother he never knew, was also entertaining.

Ms. Linnington is very good at delivering interesting and inspirational stories of couples coming together, often having to learn how to trust again, and eventually (despite all obstacles in the way) finding love. I have always enjoyed that I can count on her to provide me with a happy ending, no matter what may come first. And in this book, as with her others, she once again does not disappoint. It was a fun and inspirational tale that I most definitely enjoyed reading.

Big Beautiful Mail Order Bride and Her Lost Man by Florence Lennington is a sweet western romance. In it we meet two flawed main characters—Rosalind Lee and Cassidy Gerber. At first glance these two looks like opposites, but at their core they are identical. Both come to a relationship with secrets. Will they love each other? Will they live happily ever after?

The characters were interesting. I loved the fact that Ms. Lennington chose a plus size woman for her female lead. As in character-driven plots, the characters grow and change for the better and that is the same with this plot. I did feel that the dialog was well thought out. I did wish that there were more heart-to-heart conversations between Rosalind and Cassidy. I there were then the plot action would not have been so drawn out. So much time was wasted on internal dialogs about Rosalind and Cassidy’s shortcomings. The antagonist, Harris, was well crafted. The descriptive language Ms. Lennington used painted vivid scenes. The scenes where Dillan, Cassidy’s son, started to accept Rosalind was endearing. The scene of Rosalind’s assault was riveting. I would have enjoyed a bit more suspense in this plot line. I had to work to keep focused on finishing this book. I like a book that has a bit more action.

I HATED Cassidy. He was such a hypocrite and so judgmental. Honestly the entire book I could only think one thing. And that was that Rosalind deserved way better than what she got. Not only did he lie to her but he had the audacity to feel offended for her judging him when he was judging her from the very beginning! To me, it felt like she was settling because she had no other choice and that’s sad. Like what, just because she’s big, she doesn’t deserve someone better, someone who can actually love her and doesn’t need any convincing? Because tbh the whole him suddenly realising he was in love with her was unrealistic. It happened so quickly it made no sense. What happened between them for him to change his mind? Literally nothing. Oh well.

BBW running away

I'd really liked this story about a plus side lady and what she goes through because shes a big lady. I can understand what she had to do to get from a real bad situations and pushing a bit. The 2 men I could just hit on the back of the head for only seeing the outside and only seeing a big lady. It took him a long time to really just see her and not her size. They each had secrets and finally told each other and he had to learn to getting his words right.

Mail Order Bride Romances

This Bride is from New York city, she lived there with her father until he died. After his funeral , she began to be visited by his debtors. Shhewas given a month to pay her father's debts. A man came to see her and told her he was a debt collector. He made advances not worthy of her giving them any thought. Read to see the steps she takes and the outcome. I did!!!!!!

HI , Great Story of a Mail Order Bride.

Sometimes we all need to get to know some one before we judge them by their looks. The author did a Great job writing of a woman that is larger than most, but she still had such confidence in herself. She is much more than looks.
I would Love to visit a town like Evergreen, Wyoming Each of the Characters in the story were unforgettable , especially the women and how they encouraged and supported each other.

Great Book!

This book was fast paced and exciting. However, I didn’t like the cover of the book. This book is about a woman a bit larger than the thinner women at that time. Why not show her? All authors show beautiful thin mail order brides why not her? Despite the cover, the book keeps your interest to the very end.

Enjoyed

We all are different in our way but it isn't always easy to deal with those differences in the eyes of others. So is the characters in this story. Being a large woman in a world of petite brings many concerns and problems in this clean romance. Enjoy finding out how they deal with them.

Great Story......

I've enjoyed reading this story, Big Beautiful Mail Order Bride And Her Lost Man. The author has brought her characters to life in this great story. The heroine is in trouble and her only hope is to run! She is not sure she will be expected at the end of the trail.

Rosalind is the one average women our time. But In her time she isn’t. She is not the normal skinny beauty. She is in fact a curvy women that isn’t seen in the west. She comes to Wyoming to marry Cassidy. Cassidy is a single dad of a ten year old boy. Things are Rocky you say the least. With a lot of work and this great community they have this becomes a story of the ages.

Another good story

Well written story, with a different plot. A family with an older child. And it's not the bride. So even thou it's still about mail order bride it added a different twist. As we see characters from other stories,it helps to pull it together about Evergreen. I like how new characters are added without their story told over and over again. On to the next one.

Great storyline.

I enjoyed this book. It needs better editing and I believe the h started with red hair and ended up a brunette. Otherwise pretty good read. Lovely characters and some excitement as well. I hope you enjoy it as well as I did. 😸

Mail Order Bride

I loved this book. There were a few errors, but e books do tend to have some. The heroine was believable, if a trifle naive. Very enjoyable story and I will read the next one. Feel good book, definitely!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

When their outward appearance is different, people sometimes can't recognize their inner beauty. Our heroine's insecurities almost cost her a future with a loving partner. And a chance to be a loving mother. A seesaw of emotions. Good read!

looks are

Looks are deceiving are they? A generous story of a Rosalind who's a little taller and founder than the average woman and who needs to leave her situation immediately. As a mail order bride she hopes to have left her situation behind.

Enjoyable

This book I enjoyed because it shows it doesn’t matter how big a woman is it’s what’s inside that attracts a man.
The story line makes me relate to this woman in the book. She had a heart of gold, didn’t matter her size.

Rosalind was a big blessed beautiful woman.
She was a quick mail ordered Bride. The groom's little boy added an element of heart grabbing ache for all mothers!!

The Big Beautiful Bride

Once again the previous characters become closely intertwined with the new ones. Just enough suspense, mystery, love and trouble to make it hard to put down. Now to the next one.

VERY CLEAN STORY

Not sure I would recommend unless you are against kissing, hugging, hand holding and sex. The story was ok. I didn’t buy the hero’s thought process but the heroine was fierce IMO. She faced every obstacle with her head held high.

I guess this was just not my speed. It was a little boring and kind of stilted. It could use some additional proofreading for typos/missing words, too.
