This is such a silly and goofy novel, with a lot of hilarious scenes and embarrassing moments. This is a laugh-out-loud kind of hilarious, and when you thought there's a sad scene coming, it would suddenly flipped 180 and continue its ridiculousness.
I actually liked the fact that the MC and ML are already married for seven years when the story started. It's quite rare for me to read a danmei where the relationship is already established from the start. But the author used a unique approach to stir up trouble for the MC and ML to create a fun seven-year itch experience for both of them.
The main plot of this is about the ML's changing personalities based on the characters of the books he has downloaded and the MC's sloppy attempt to act in sync with whoever his husband’s character is. It's funny how the MC from the beginning was still worried on how to live their daily lives with a husband having multiple personalities, but eventually he was like, "f*ck it" and then just goes with the flow and act his own role in the story. But this event helped them learn and discover more about each other and made their relationship even stronger. It's actually quite romantic and there are come soft and warm moments sprinkled through out but it doesn't change the fact that this novel is extremely funny and sometimes made me want to hide my face from the second-hand embarrassment.
This novel is very unserious and very lighthearted. Nothing really extraordinary, but if you just want to laugh and read something fun, you might want to pick this up.

not one single person alive loves their husband (wife!!!) more than zhang chenfei loves jiao qi. (˶‘ ᵕ ‘˶ )
i began reading this manhua completely at random and now i like it so much i’m considering reading the webnovel. 😭
the plot: hijinks and shenanigans!!!! our two main characters (both presidents of companies) have been married for 7 years when, one day, zhang chenfei gets into a car accident that causes a head injury. in this world, technology called a “smart brain” exists, and that accident causes chenfei’s smart brain to conflate memories of his reality with details from all the romance stories he likes listening to. meaning: chenfei starts behaving like the cliché male leads from all sorts of genres. 😩😭😭
each new personality is funnier than the last. i was literally laughing out loud!! i couldn’t stop reading. but what’s really lovely is how all of the mess and chaos actually allows jiao qi to realize all the little things about his husband he didn’t notice (or took for granted). plus, the wacky scenarios even highlight underlying issues in their relationship and allow them to sort through them and better understand each other! 🫶🏼
i live for the moments when chenfei “wakes up” because he loves fanfan (his nickname for jiao qi) sooooo much. 🥹 they are SO CUTE together. every panel where one (or both) of their wedding bands flash under the light, ahhhh. ⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎
the art: i found that the art style got SLIGHTLY more simplistic as the manhua went on (as compared to the very beginning), and i personally like that sort of style better!
i’m really loving this manhua; it’s definitely one of the best i’ve read this whole year! 💖
After reading my 3rd LYQH book, a common point so far is that the MC and ML have already established a confirmed and loving relationship.
At first, I came across this novel from a translator's comment mentioning mermaid and vampire themes. I thought it was QT, until I read the synopsis. Omg, this is like QT but not. It really saves on the world-building as we read the multiple "novels/ scripts". The novel is really quite unique in a sense. I love that MC could pickup on ML's hidden secrets. A little tiny angst for some but it really doesn't last for more than 2 chapters max.
LYQH's books (so far that I've read) tend towards extreme dogfood and fluff. I'm not complaining. it's really sweet and lighthearted to read. No knives.
I pretty much love the novel, the translation quality is good as well. As for the lack of a star, it's just my personal preference to get knife a little. hahaha!
This book started out as confusing, but also intriguing. During the beginning of the story, I didn’t understand the character situation and medical condition, but the more the story went on it started to grow, and I was able to understand it, but it was kind of like the plot was just a situation between just both of the main characters, but it still had like a ring to it, so my opinion it was a okay book.
Me encanto
Mr. Dior by Lu Ye Qian He (绿野千鹤) was such a fun, heartwarming read! What makes it stand out is how it steers clear of the usual over-the-top drama, "dog blood" conflicts, or drawn-out "wife-chasing" plots. Instead, it focuses on a married couple, Zhang Chenfei (ML-the gong) and Jiao Qi (MC-the Shou), who have been together for seven years. The twist? The ML develops different personalities based on the characters in the books he downloads, and the MC has to hilariously adapt to his husband’s new personas.
The story is packed with tropes, but they’re used in a way that feels fresh and entertaining. What I loved most was how the MC gradually uncovers just how deeply his husband loves him. Each time the ML switches personalities, it sparks misunderstandings that lead the MC to new realizations about their relationship. For example, one of the biggest reveals is that they actually knew each other as kids—something the ML remembers fondly while the MC had completely forgotten. These moments add depth to their love story and show how much history they share.
The "seven-year itch" theme is woven into the story so well. At the beginning, the MC feels like the spark in their marriage is fading—he’s spending less time with his husband and feeling a bit disconnected. But as the ML’s unpredictable personalities shake things up, the MC starts to see his husband in a new light. The chaos forces him to rediscover why he fell in love in the first place. It’s such a clever way to show how even long-term relationships can find new life when both partners make the effort to reconnect.
The humor is another big highlight. From the ML’s over-the-top personas to the MC’s awkward attempts to go along with his antics, the comedic moments are laugh-out-loud funny. But it’s not just fluff—those moments always lead to heartfelt realizations about their bond. It’s the kind of story that reminds you how love can deepen over time, even when things don’t go as expected.
Overall, Mr. Dior is a lighthearted yet emotionally satisfying take on love, marriage, and rediscovery. If you’re looking for something that’ll make you laugh, warm your heart, and leave you feeling all-around happy, this is it. Highly recommend for fans of quirky romances with genuine emotional depth!
I don't know why many people don't like this story !! has a married couple who love each other but are falling into monotony , an artificial intelligence that downloads drama novels for its owner and many willing employees .It has a comic development but you stay stuck reading because you want to know what madness the protagonist will do this time ,!!
6/16/22: Currently at Ch 44. Still living up to my initial review! They are sooo wholesome <3. We need more BLs on married couples because now I can't get enough!
8/19/21: Currently at Ch7. These two are funny, I'm loving this already. The art is very pretty.
