One night. That’s all it took to ruin my entire life. One fucking night. I lost everything. My beautiful best friend. My soulmate. My reason for breathing. The love of my life. My end game. She was all of those things and more. Ashley Davis owns my heart, and every day without her has been pure torture. Hell, I’d rather be tortured than live like this. Without her, I’m empty. A shell of the man I used to be. The man I wish I still was. I never expected to see her again, but now that I have, I won’t let her out of my sight. Eight years ago, I made a mistake. An epic, fucking mistake. I won’t screw up again. Ashley Davis is my girl, and it’s about goddamn time she realizes it. Ashley, baby, I’m coming for you.

I’m no prude but seriously this book was like porn! I had to keep skipping pages because dammit I wanted to read the plot but nearly every other chapter it was just constant sex. The main guy is actually my type of alpha male but you know him having loved h for so long and then constant mention of his sex life including with the present other woman totally killed my liking for him. I never understand when an author writes an alpha male who you can feel does truly love the h but then spoils it by filling us in with all ow he has had sex with throughout the years because obviously he has needs. Why convince the reader of his love for h but then diminish it with details of his past sex life? What’s worse is when there is a present ow involved that he’d had sex with not too long before he med h again. We then have to know how intimate he’d been with that ow whilst always saying how much he loved and craved h but alas his penis had no problem being in ow during all that time of missing h. Whilst h wasn’t celibate I found her weak and too easy with her body and heart with this guy who she believed had done one of the worst things to her. Anyway sex was the main focus of this book and not enough interaction with the characters. The writing itself was good just didn’t relate to the characters and the sex was too much that I actually rolled my eyes every time I came across another one.

Started out promising but figured it would not end that way. First red flag him not wanting anyone to know about them. Step sister introduced and you know drama there (looses his virginity to her) stays away for like 8 years but then decided to come for her. Yeah not buying it. Romance books are becoming not romantic at all.
First book that I have read from this author and I loved it. Great second chance/friends/enemies’ to lovers romance. Rome and Ashley were so good together. They had such an intense attraction and chemistry that picked right back up after 8 years of being apart. It was great to watch them find each other again and to find out some issues that they had in the past were not necessary if people were honest. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This book was so meh, I didn't connect with the character s. They were super Uber dramatic, they behaved like 10 here old, cussed in every word, it was tiring, the plot was very predictable. And I wanted to ask again to the authors, please stop this narrative that the guy is a God because he can throw a ball, he can be with a woman at the same time he thought that he had cheated but the heroine would stay long periods single just because. Let's put an end in this, and start making decent guys out there, so we can at least inspire them to be better.

This is such a great book!! C. Standing does an amazing job of making Rome, the main male character, a sexy alpha yet he’s still super sweet and caring!! This is a perfect sports romance read especially if you’re looking for some super HOT sex scenes! 😏🔥🔥
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”Something’s different about this kiss. It’s more urgent. Desperate. He isn’t just kissing me, he’s inhaling me. Owning my mouth. He’s branding me into his soul. It’s a soul-crushing, knee-weakening, toe- curling, life-affirming kiss that bruises your lips and melts your heart.” . Rome and Ashley have been friends since they were kids. Until high school when their chemistry ignites. In just one night- it’s over almost as soon as it began. Eight years later, Rome’s there. And he isn’t making any mistakes this time. He won’t screw up again.✨ . If you love: •Second Chance •Hot & Steamy •Sports romance •Friends to lovers •Dual POV Then this is the book for you!✨ . Let me begin by saying I was not prepared for what I read. This is @c.standings debut book and I breezed through it in one sitting. Hotness level was off the charts. Like unless your 18+, hotness scenes and language. I don’t always want all the steamy sex scenes in my love stories but when I do I want them written like that. I enjoyed Rome’s alpha sexiness, while still being sweet. And Ashley’s refreshing girl next door personality was perfect. Their connection was sweet. And did I mention hot?✨ . The book is told in a before and after if you will. The prologue grabbed me and the epilogue was a perfect addition. Do I suspect we will have Lexi and Brayden’s story up next? I hope so! While I wished it was more in-depth to go with all that sex, I have a feeling this is just the beginning of a great career for @c.standing. I look forward to following along.✨ . I was provided an ARC for my honest review.✨
Best friends. Lovers. Enemies. Finally, forever. The queen of his kingdom, Ashley brought Rome to his knees, at her feet. All this power she held, at just 17. And he was one hundred percent a goner. The boy loved football. Loved it enough to make a career of it. But he loved Ashley more. She was his universe. He was her champion, on and off the field. But questioned trust can do dreadful things.
"My end game. My forever. My everything. The air I breathe. The life in my lungs. The blood in my veins. I don't exist without her." - Rome Grayson
Years later, time may have passed while they've been living their own lives apart, but little else has changed. Their reunion is tumultuous, at best. But the flame between Rome and Ashley has only been fueled, beyond control, by absence and sexual tension. On the note of sexual tension: the raw passion that C. Standing poured into the this story is unbridled. The steam rising out of these pages, made this girl need to fan herself on more than one occasion. I should have had a cold shower on standby.
In this, her debut novel, she served us a fierce protector of a man, who knows what he wants and runs at it full tilt. A dynamically developed, independent heroine who adamantly guards her heart, lest she get burned again. And a literal lifetime love story. Is it perfect? No. But even the most charmed of lives isn't flawless. It's rife with humanity and I think that lends to a more relatable tale.
This book is outstanding! This is an amazing second chance romance book. If you want heat, yep this book gots it. If you want the emotional roller coaster, yep this book has it too. If you want a book that will slay you with words that you wish your man would tell you, THEN, YES, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU. I do not know how many times I looked over to my husband to give him the stink eye for not saying words that Rome says to Ashley. Anyways, so Back to You is about Rome and Ashley. A love that every woman out there wants. Rome loves Ashley and will do everything to keep her in his life. Then one night everything changed. So much happens and lives were changed but for how long. What does Rome do? Can Ashley forgive? Will they find out what really happens? Let us not forget about the steamy scenes, um can I say yummy? Yes that is a five fire alarm level so be prepared for that. Thank you C. Standing for giving us this amazing story to read. I cannot wait to read more of your work.
Rating 3.5 stars. Rome and Ashley knew each other since they were practically babies and fell in love with each other in high school. Tiffany, Ashley's stepsister, broke them up and for eight years they had no contact with each other until Rome shows up at the club where Ash was hanging out with her friend. The story goes back and forth between the present and the past with both POVs. I think Ashley should have made Roman work a little harder when he first showed up, although he is redeemed at the end. I also did love the multiple epilogues! I hope we get stories for Liam and Molly and Brayden and Lexi!

Need an awesome escape from life this is the book for you. Grab some and your comfy spot From the first page to the last you will find yourself self entombed in a story that is written so well it comes to life. Your emotions will come and go in waves as you Read each page. Enjoy the read
Back To You is a dual POV second chance romance written in two parts.
We meet Rome and Ashley while they are in high school, and their relationship is slow and sweet. Rome is defiantly an alpha male, star QB, good looks- but he isn’t alpha or possessive in a negative way. Ashley is sweet, friendly, and the all around good girl. They make the picture perfect couple. Definitely a sports romance/friends to lovers feel, until BAM. An event (no spoilers!) happens that changes the course of the next 8 years of their lives.
The second part of the story take place 8 years after the “incident”. And once these two find each other again, the story is a hot AF erotic second chance romance. Their chemistry is sizzling, their sex is amazing, but will they be able to completely move on from their past? Or will it remain hanging over their heads, preventing them from truly moving on???
If you are looking for a VERY sexy read with good emotional development and a hot, possessive alpha male, definitely check this one out. There are TONS of sex scenes, and the author is a master at writing them. Each one feels fresh and new! And HOT 🔥🔥🔥
Full disclosure: I performed some developmental editing and received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was gifted this book from voracious readers and it was OK, at the beginning I was really invested in the story but to be honest it felt like they got back together a little too easily and without really discussing their issues. I am no prude but towards the end I skim read because the amount of sex was a bit much.

I'm not sure why I wasted time reading this book.. honestly I skipped pages and pages of this book because most of the chapters contained sex scenes that I felt there was no character development and the issue with the step sister and co worker.. Ugh please. I wouldn't recommend this.
This book had so much potential. I love second chance romance.
Disclaimer: I mainly read erotic romance. I love filthy talking Alpha males. I also like the h to have a sexual history, enjoy sex with previous men, and not be afraid to talk dirty or get kinky. I also like swear words. Even with all that I do like the story to have some kind of plot and to get resolved. Length is also a factor. There are some great, well developed, full length erotic romances and then you get the shorter, less developed ones. It's expected when you are basically reading porn.
Glows: 1. Extremely hot, graphic sex scenes. Rome has a dirty mouth and Ashley soon matches him. I like it when the h gives it back. It may not be someone else's cup of tea though. 2. Second chance - The characters grew up with eachother from the age of 2 and were best friends until 18 when they finally got together. 3. They were so much in love and in the beginning you could really feel it. 4. The first Part is from when they were 18 and seniors in high school. 5. They were both virgins. Ashley assumed Rome was with lots of girls because he was the captain of the football team but he only ever wanted to be with Ashley. 6. C. Standing has a way with words and writes well developed complex and descriptive sentences. I enjoyed it. Most underdeveloped erotic romance books read like a 3rd grader wrote them. 7. I tend to read only series books and the way it ended made you believe there would be another book about his best friend Brayden and his wife Lexi. I would definitely read it. 8. It looks like the author has written only one other book. I plan on reading it.
Grows: 1. Trigger warning - it is set up to make you believe the H was raped after being drugged by the h's stepsister. He wakes up with the stepsister with two beer bottles by him. He doesn't remember anything and knows he wouldn't get drunk off 2 beers but hardly stops to think something was wrong. The stepsister drops the bomb at a family game night in Part 2 that takes place 8 years later and the H&h act as expected. She takes off and they don't see eachother for 8 years. 2. As soon as they see eachother again he goes all super possessive on her and then literally begs her to give him one night as just "Ashley and Rome". It was literally like no time had passed at all. It just didn't feel anything like a second chance. 3. They have a brief conversation about not needing to know about the past because it's in the past. However, him having sex with the stepsister was what made them break up and spend 8 years apart. I also get the book needed drama, but it was difficult to wrap my head around the fact he never even tried to explain his suspicion that something that night didn't add up. 4. When it finally comes out that it was all a set up the whole situation is dropped. They don't talk about it at all! Not one freaking peep. It was mainly the only reason I kept on reading was to see them talking about it. 5. I am used to reading books with Alpha males so for me Rome was over emotional and not very well developed. Almost everything out of his mouth was how much he loved Ashley. His inner monologue was the same. I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again. At first it was so sweet until I realized those seem to be the only words in his vernacular. 6. This book was waaaay to long. It was 300 pages long and 95% of it was sex, 4.5% Rome only saying how much he loves Ashley, and .1% plot. I am completely ok with just sex and limited plot. But make it under 200 pages at least. This book could have been so much better if it was shorter. 7. Rome and Ashley started their second chance relationship immediately. They were separated for 8 years and then boom, that night Rome is telling her he loves her, she is unsure, but agrees to be with him. There was no fighting to make their way back to eachother. With a book under 200 pages this is expected. 300 pages? It felt too soon. *********
Clearly this is my opinion and I rarely rate a book let alone read a review. Even though I had a lot of issues with this book I felt compelled to write this review to say to give C. Standing a chance. I feel like with a little bit more time and experience she can develop into a well established erotic romance writer. It's why I kept reading.
Last, and I am not including this as a Grow because I 100% understand it. There were a bunch of editing errors. The errors consisted of two word phrases that were inserted twice and and the occasional wrong use of words like "if". This bothers the crap out of some people. It only bothers me when the book is from a big publishing company.
Again, this book had a lot of potential. I give C. Standing props for taking the leap.
This book confused me. There were just too many things that didn't make sense or weren't well-developed making it a somewhat frustrating or at least not completely enjoyable read. Just a few of the things that didn't make sense to me: Those are just a few of the many things that just didn't make sense with this story.
Honestly, I also wish the reconciliation between Ashley & Rome didn't happen so quickly (I think it only took a couple days despite Ashley's weird hangups over the past & need for space but then immediately letting Rome back into her life) after they had been apart for 8 years. The reveal over the truth behind the incident that broke them up was also pretty anticlimactic, with no real attempt to deal with the whole siuation. And as others have commented, while I'm no prude, good lord was there a LOT of sex in this book. Don't get me wrong, I love a great sex scene, but this book went well beyond what I think is necessary.
Also, kind of trivial, but this book made me hate using the word "honey" as a term of endearment. It just didn't seem natural or fitting of the characters in this book & I cringed every time it was used. And finally, I think the "bonus scene" needed to just be a part of the book because the book already seemed unfinished with the way it would have ended without the bonus scene...
This was just an underdeveloped story that unfortunately didn't live up to the potentially good story it could have been.
If you want a steamy romance where there is more sex than there is plot, this book is for you. The steamy parts of the book are incredible and descriptive, and definitely going to turn you on. Unfortunately, that is the best part of the book. (Vague spoilers to follow).
The male character Rome is very vulgar, and whenever you are reading from his point of view, every other word is “f*ck”. There is no reason for it, and I feel it distracts from the point of the story. Both of the main characters are also frustrating with no backbone - why didn’t Rome just tell Ashley in the beginning that he didn’t know what happened and that he tried to stop it? Why does Ashley go back to him continuously even though she couldn’t bare to? Why did they hide their relationship in the beginning if they were so touchy feely and close anyways?
The other characters in the story are not properly introduced and do things for no apparent reason that screw with Rome and Ashley. It never goes into detail as to why and creates a lot of plot holes that I wish were filled.
All in all, I feel like this was a good enough book to use to turn you on, but I, personally, wish there was more to it than that. I don’t feel like it is a bad story and I wished it was planned out slightly better. That is why I give it 3 out of 5 stars.
I received this book as a complimentary copy in exchange for my review per VoraciousReadersOnly.com.

Oh my lantah, I don’t think it is possible for me to love Rome anymore than I already do. He’s seriously flawless. C. Standing seriously created the perfect man, even his flaws are perfect. I know that’s an oxymoron but it’s the truth. - Rome is a one woman kind of guy, probably part of what makes him so attractive, and Ashley is a lucky lady. She balances him in the perfect way but she also pushes his buttons which was hilarious. I totally get Rome’s infatuation with Ashley because she is #WCW material, FOR SURE. I love how protective and supportive Rome is plus his bedroom game is on point. Holy smokes, that man is HOTTTTTT. - I’m not going to lie, I got a little annoyed with Ashley, now I love the girl but her desire to not get hurt again was driving me bananas. Totally understood but I’m like girl, he is constantly professing his love for you and showing up for you. Let your guard down, be happy. She is also is kind of a bad bitch, I mean she does punch someone. It was freaking awesome, I may or may not have shouted “It’s about damn time!” in the middle of the night and woke my husband up. - These two are precious, through so much adversity and BS they always find their way back to each other. They really are both better together. Now, in my opinion for as hot as Rome is, Brayden is a scene stealer and I want him to have a story SO bad. I lalalove him, I need more!
“ Let me hold you , baby . Please.” His voice is a strained plea . “ I’ve spent eight fucking years dreaming of this moment.” An arm snakes around my lower back , anchoring me to him. “ I need to feel your body against mine” ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ARC WAS PROVIDED FOR HONEST REVIEW 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Guys I was not emotionally prepared for this book . I love sports romance , high school romance , second change romance , deep romance , steamy romance and this story got it all I felt like a kid in a candy store . You’ll love Rome and Ashley’s story from beginning to end . I love the way this author wrote the story , it was so intense and honest and romantic and those sex scenes wowww I need a cold shower , fire extinguishers, and a fan 🔥 Rome and Ashley’s love story had my heart skipping a beat , they where made for each other and it was so amazing how after so many years their love was still as powerful as before . They compliment , balanced each other so well. I love that we get both the past and the present of their relationship . I cannot wait to read the next book in this series .
This book was full of fire 🔥. My first time reading a C. Standing novel, and I was not disappointed. Ashley and Rome have been friends since they were very young, they grew up doing just about everything together. It’s not until they are in high school that they let the chemistry that has been building up take place to be so explosive that Rome wants to keep it a secret. A secret that will end up breaking them apart for eight whole years of Rome living with a miserable mistake that he made one night. Eight years later he run into hr in a nightclub and the fire that they once had is still there. They are reunited, but it comes with a whole new set of problems because Rome is an ex NFL player that is very popular, and all of the ladies in Florida want him in their beds. The only problem is he only has ever had eyes for Ashley Davis and he will not let anything or anyone stand in their way of happiness this time. This book is captivating, and is full of passion. I hope that it’s a second book to this. I really want to know what happens next. Thank you ☺️

Whew! Besides being absolutely sexy this story absolutely melted my heart. ⠀ ⠀ The undoubtable love that bleeds from the pages of this story had the heart fluttering. Time and Ashley was a match made in heaven, the complaint each other perfectly. I can’t even claim Rome for myself because him and Ashley are the definition of soulmates.⠀ ⠀ Warning: There was one part that I was not emotionally prepared for, that I literally had to put my phone down and recompose myself before I started reading again. (But in the best way).
This second chance romance is different than others, because you get to be a part of the story from the beginning. You get to experience the first time Ashley and Rome fall in love. You get to feel the intensity of their love. You also feel the loss as what they cherish most, their relationship with each other, explodes into a mess too big to clean up.
Back to You brings back the feelings of high school romance, that uncertain yet unparalleled bond of first love. But this story also allows you to see the progression of relationships, the difficulty of true forgiveness, and the unbreakable strength that true love holds.
You will feel every emotion all the way down to your core and the sizzle of heated romance as Ashley and Rome worship each other. This book would get way more than five stars if they allowed because it is EVERYTHING!!!
When I picked up this book I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put it down because who doesn’t love a second chance romance. With true love stories there has to be angst and my goodness your heart breaks for Ashley. You feel it in your bones that these two are meant to be but eight years keeps them apart. You can feel the hot chemistry the sexual tension between these two that it melts you. I cannot wait to read more from this beautiful writer and I don’t expect anything less but perfection if this is a reflection of her writing ability.
C. Standing did an amazing job with this book. It has so much angst and passion in it. I stayed up most of the night reading and then woke up early to finish it. I was pretty sure I was going to have an anxiety attack during the first part of the book when you find out what went wrong in their relationship when they were teens. There were also some seriously steamy scenes throughout this book! Rome is a sexy alpha male who knows how to claim his girl. I loved their chemistry. I also loved the side characters and cannot wait to see what happens with them in future books!
This is a great second chance romance I just loved getting to know Rome and Ashley these two were high school sweethearts and were just a perfect couple but her step-sister manages to push them apart and it is eight years until they come back together when they run into each other in a club. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next book in the series
