Iowa has been her home for over thirty years where she lives with her husband, two children and their spouses, five grandchildren, the memory of her hero teacup toy poodle, Allie, and her rescued Frenchie, Kendell.
This was a fun of sorts mystery. Abigail Stratford, a renowned author is sent of assignment to the small town of Puckerbrush to do an article on small town living. Puckerbrush was soon to celebrate their centennial celebration Abigail met some very interesting characters in Puckerbrush that would become very close to Abigail, including the town sherif.
The writing is simplistic and quite boring. There is no mystery as I figured out the plot early on and skimmed the remainder. The editing is non existent as is the atrocious format. Quite distracting and cheap looking. The need to know she hung her purse n the back of a chair and put her camera on the table twice in 4 pages is ridiculous.
Who knew that being a writer would take you to such beautiful places. It made me remember driving through small towns and wondering what it was really like to live there.
Quick easy read and I enjoyed it on a free afternoon. But, twice Abigail is mentioned as “ Shel” and that makes me think the editing was not done professionally.
