"She wanted to tame me and add color to my world, and I wanted nothing more than to kill her."
Meet Calissa, a normal twenty-something-year-old who enjoys a cold beer, hot sex, and quietly fantasizes about killing her new friend. Wait... what?
This book has a very American Psycho vibe, which I did enjoy.
There are a few errors in editing, and some overuse of certain nouns and adjectives ("blood" showed up roughly 160 times in this 150-page novella), and I did feel like Krause was a little TOO specific in narrating humdrum activities. For example, "I made a beeline straight home, pulled my jeans off, got a drink of water, and got into bed. I tossed and turned a while before I fell asleep." 😴
Overall, it had a good story premise, and I read the whole thing in one sitting. But not wowed.
