When Luke Chase’s relationship with Stephanie comes unexpectedly to an end, his brother, Adam, agrees to go with him to their ski cabin to take his mind off things. But a week’s snowboarding with his gregarious brother isn’t exactly what Luke planned to do with his vacation time and he does not appreciate Adam’s attempts to make him forget his ’nearly’ fiancée.
When bad weather blows in and conditions on the mountain turn dicey, Luke heads back down the slope to find shelter. On the way, he witnesses a snowboarder blindly heading onto a closed backwoods slope. Recognizing the snowboarder as the inexperienced pretty girl from next door, Luke races after Hayley Burnett to try to warn her. But, by the time he catches up with her, the weather is too sever to descend the double black diamond run and Luke Chase finds himself unexpectedly stranded in a remote cabin in a blizzard with a sweet Canadian girl.
He was nursing a broken heart as he lost his almost fiancee. His brother takes him on a ski trip. Soon he is caught in a blizzard with a girl and they have to shelter. What is going to happen while they are there. Maybe they will melt the snow

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Luke and Hailey. She's going on vacation in her sister's place since they are identical twins and her sister broke hey foot. Luke is reeling from a bad breakup, his ex of ten years cheated on him and left him around Thanksgiving. Now it's Christmas Eve and Luke's brother Adam insists on going skiing with Luke. They meet the neighbor's nextdoor and meets Hailey. They get along great but Luke forgets her name. They go boarding together and start to get to know each other. Then a snow storm blows in and Luke sees Hailey blow past him and disappears down a closed trail. When they get to safety in a friend's cabin things heat up between them. But reality sets in when they go home. Follow them as they try a long distance relationship while ex's show back up in their lives and sister's set then up on blind dates. Great HEA with fun characters.

This was the first time I have read a story by this author and it was just OK for me. While the story was good and the storyline didn't really have any issues it was the character development that did not work for me. I just did not become invested in Luke and Haley. I felt like this book could have been so much more for me if I just cared about the main characters. I am sure many will love this book and that would not be a lie, like I said the story itself had enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested, I just didn't get something I needed to invest my emotions in the leads. I will try another of this authors books to see if it was just a fluke.

Hayley is not an experienced snow-boarder but shen her neighbor one cabin over offers to help her a little, she gladly accepts. Luke came to the mountains for New Year to nurse his broken heart, as his girl-friend of 10 years broke up with him. On a day of bad visibility and an upcoming blizzard their life and perspective changes. The usual interfering family and self-doubt cause trouble in paradise, though. A well-written story, not too cliché,. Although part of the series "Thrill of the Chase", this like all the other books can be read as stand-alone. Luke Chase just got dumped by his long time girlfriend and almost fiance and Haley Burnett is taking her twin sister’s place on a snowboarding trip when they meet. There is attraction, but they don’t take it to the next level until they are stuck in a cabin during a snowstorm. But can their relationship be more than just a vacation fling? There were a lot of ups and downs in this story as they deal with the distance apart and his ex and her sister trying to keep them apart. The Chase family sounds like a lot of fun and I can’t wait to read more romances about Luke’s other siblings.
A fantastically well written holiday romance. This engaging storyline had me addicted till the last page turned. The characters were wonderful, interesting, relateable and had sizzling hot chemistry and passion thst erupts when stuck in a snow storm. I truly enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster that is funny, sweet, with lots of ups and downs and twists and turns as outside forces interferes causing self doubts and troubles. Can this be more than a holiday fling? An amazing journey finding out.

This was my first book by Angela and it wont be my last. This book had enough twists and turns to keep you on your toes, which I love. I got frustrated with Luke and Haley a few times but Angela did a good job at the plot and the story so it was definitely worth the frustration at times. Cant wait to read more by Angela.

This is the first book I have read by this author. There is a lot more that could have been done in terms of the story itself and I was left feeling sorry for the characters but not really touched by them. It is good enough for me to try another of her books, but I was not wowed by this one.
