FIVE-STAR SUSPENSE, WRAPPED IN ROMANCE.
This is the first book in the author’s new HELL BENT series. It takes us into a run-down, deprived area outside of Chicago called Bowker Street. Here, gang boss, Kane Munch holds court over his sixty or more criminal acolytes in a decaying ex-motel complex: a no-go locale for police or people who are not members of the Bowker Street Devils. Becoming accustomed to the profanity in their style of speech takes a page or two, but it is how low-life talk in the real world and adds the correct colour to the atmosphere of the read.
Main character Cassidy and Ryker, her 24 year-old brother, were born into the gang- and its criminal activities. Cassidy is approaching her eighteenth birthday and people cannot fail to notice her angular lines turning into curves. Womanizer Munch has noticed – and that creates the problem of how to avoid him taking Cassidy as his next concubine. There’s only one way, and that is to leave the Devils, but that creates another problem. There’s only one way out of the Devils and that’s through the cemetery gates. They have to try. One false move to create suspicion of what they are about would mean death by retribution from Kane. It’s a risk they have to take; they have Falcon on their side to help them. Getting out and staying alive becomes their focus and the essence of the story. A powerful recipe of romance and suspense, well seasoned by a master-chef of the genre. This one will have you excited and the hairs on your neck tingling at the same time.

Cassidy story is like reading a movie. Its full of the usual twists and thrills and has moments of trust, uncertainty, happiness, worries, danger and a full on cast of characters who stand out above it all.
Liam will take you on a rollercoaster. You will love him but because of the high stakes in this book, you will also question his intentions and motivations. It's so action packed and suspenseful. I loved every letter in this story and to find out we are getting more is like hitting the book jackpot. Bring this incredible series on!! I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

A great, great book! I started reading this not really sure what to expect but this packs quite a punch! Lots of action going on and Liam will take you up and down, and up and down until you are not sure just where you ended up!! I thought Cassidy was portrayed so well and the two of them together made for such a fantastic book! If Book One was this good, what will Book Two be like!!

I had a great time and was highly entertaining with each turn of the page. The characters are strong and well developed and engaging. With a storyline that flowed smoothly from beginning to the end. This is full of dark suspense with twists and turns to keep me entertained.

This plot revolves around some strong characters that have to navigate their way through emotions, intrigue, twists and turns. It’s an engaging story that is a wonderful first book for me by this author.
