Luke Green is surly, salty, and hot as hell. You'd think the first two qualities would turn a girl off. On the contrary, Luke has his pick of the ladies. Not long term, though. He's got no desire for anything meaningful. That is until he's introduced to Tayler Sorenson, a self-proclaimed "Forever Girl". Who, even after her long-term relationship ends badly, isn't willing to change who she is. Not even for the man of her dreams. Friendship seems to be the only route for the pair even though the time they spend together will test their will. But, it could be worse. It can always be worse.
This novella is a continuation from the book Bedhead. It helps to read Bedhead first. Oh, and there may just be an itty-bitty cliff hanger. Due to coarse language and sexual situations, this book is for readers 18+.
I liked it. I really enjoyed the first book in the series which is why I read the second. At times I felt like Taylor was too back-and-forth and never stuck to her guns when she said she as through Luke. For Luke, I literally wanted to shake him, and be like "talk to Taylor!!!". I am glad that he finally pulled his head out of his bottom at the end.
What I definitely did not really like was the ending. I assumed each book would have a HEA on the couples stories. I guess, I will have to wait until book 3 is available in Kindle Unlimited to read it to see what happens to Taylor.
Enjoyed the book, but the cliffhanger ending is annoying, especially since it seems like book 3 is Gage. What about Tayler and Luke? I am okay with a cliffhanger in certain situations, but the next book should be a resolution of the previous couple, don't share a book!Give Gage his own book. I am debating if I am going to keep reading.
Luke and Taylor had such an early attraction. Loved to see their relationship build. But man I so love when the surly, growly man falls hopelessly in love with girl. I’m so excited for the next book.
Luke and Tayler's story repeats to much from previous book. I still enjoyed reading the transformation of grouchy Like even if he has a ways to go. Not crazy about cliffhangers but looking forward to the next book!
Really like this series and characters, Ms Miller's words are wonderful. However, it is NEVER dusty. Whether it be pink, red, rose, or any shade therein. It is dusky. D-U-S-K-Y, dusky. Darkish, not dirty. Dusky.
I absolutely loved Luke and Tayler!! I was so excited to read their story!! I can't wait for the next one especially after the cliffhanger. Is is September yet?
This was all hot and cold. And I am pretty sure part of this story will continue next book as it obviously needs to. I sort of actually get excited about Cage's upcoming story.
While I loved getting both POVs from the main characters, Tayler wasn’t really a fave for me. And although I did get to see a better side of her and commended her for putting her foot down when she needed to. Luke was a bit rough around the edges as well.
