As the past re-emerges within the present, everything is turned upside down as a Princeton research professor grapples with bringing the evils of yesterday to justice while trying to make the future world a safer place. When word leaks out that virus hunter, old Doc Browning, located a possible miracle vaccine in the Congo, an international chase pursues as corporate pirates and government authorities attempt to swoop in. Doc enlists the help of an old friend and his wife and they leave the safety of their middle class home to assist him on a journey which takes them from venues like Hilton Head, St. Louis and Princeton to Brazil and Switzerland. As they attempt to overcome obstacles and threats to their own lives to help save the world from a deadly virus, questions begin to arise. What else is Doc not telling them about this assignment? A tale of how the past can impact the future and a reminder to never forget what is most important in life, even when we seek to fulfill our mission to help others.
