As the US government struggles to contain the fallout from the asteroid's impact, multiple groups race to cash in on the spoils, unconcerned with the lives they will destroy along the way in Black: Impact Book 5.
Impact is a 6-book post-apocalyptic survival series from the #1 post-apocalyptic author Mike Kraus and USA Today and NYT best-selling author E.E. Isherwood. This series follows the desperate survival of several characters in a post-apocalyptic world, including a mother and father separated from their daughter, a whistleblower pursued by a dangerous assassin, a sociopathic CEO out for profit above all else and a former soldier who teams up with an unlikely ally in the name of survival.
E.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.
Another great survival book. Follows along with the last book. The characters have their hands full trying to survive. Makes you want to jump into the book and help. Loved it.
*Slight spoilers* The race to Yellowstone is the focus of very divergent groups, in Black, Book 5 of the dream team of E.E.Isherwood and Mike Kraus' excellent Impact series. TKM's CEO Petteri Tikkanen, his henchman/chief of security Aarons, and the formers PA, Dorothy, are doing their best to retain the fabulously valuable mineral-laden meteorite, (from the disaster they caused), while their deadly female assassin, Nerio Torres, who does her best to bring down Grace and her friends, Asher and Misha, but her evil plot seems to have failed for now, luckily for the refuge-seeking Park Rangers, but somewhat less so for them than has turned out for others.
A smooth tale, worthy of a survivalist James Bond, with a subtle blend of 5th Element thrown in.
Get your story with a surprise as soon as possible, Black by Mike Kraus and E.E.Isherwood, to make your nail-biting sci-fi adventure begin today!
Book 5 is another great story in this continuing saga.
Trying to hook up with family and trying to stay alive are proving to be hard to do with people trying to hunt you down because they are desperate or through a company that caused the disaster who are trying to keep you from exposing what they did. Makes for some tense moments of wondering if you will be alive tomorrow.
There was a lot of action in this, though some parts seem repetitive (e.g. on the boat, bad guys on shore, boat goes fast, barely gets away). One of the main areas of growth is with Misha who is not what he had seemed. I am starting to like that guy. I'm probably like a lot of people waiting for the point that Petteri gets what is coming to him. The next book should be very interesting.
Well, things are getting very interesting in this book. There are thugs, rich creeps, and assassins after our heroes. Persist people have become really dangerous as well. I can't wait to see how this all comes out.
Wild and crazy shenanigans in this world of multiple disasters! I love the main characters and the world is well-described. This is book 5 of the Impact series and I highly recommend the entire series.
This covers the whole spectrum of positive through negative that can be found in the human race. Eternal hope is for those fighting for what is right. I'm on to the next in series hoping the good guys win and the selfish lose!
Wow, I didn't think this series could have any more twists than it already has but boy was I wrong. More action, surprise and worry than before. Now to hurry on to the next book to see what else lies in store.
I have to say that the survivors are not going to back down from anyone. Waiting on the next book. Grace and her friends are bad ass. E - A his friends are also bad ass.
TKM’s grand plans are beginning to falter. The surviving family members continue to try to connect but their destinations keep changing. Do they have the fortitude to carry on?
