Tucker Morris - affectionately known by his most annoying friends as Chuck Norris - is a lover, not a fighter.

He’s a charmer, with a fast tongue and equal wit. Mechanic by day, motorcycle racer by night, Tucker is magic with his hands, and makes a hobby out of sliding filthy innuendo into as many conversations as he possibly can.

His easygoing manner means he’s able to meet a woman between the sheets, have his fun, then let her go.

It’s a catch and release system he’s enjoyed for years.

But that’s all about to change.

A chance meeting, a savage dog attack, a loaded gun or two, and a whole heap of bad attitude, sees Tucker meeting the one woman he can’t quite find it in his heart to release.

Nora is damaged goods. She’s quiet, undemanding, and enjoys the exclusive company of her Great Dane, a bar of chocolate, and Netflix reruns. Past trauma and the brutal murder of her big sister means Nora doesn’t trust men, especially not the kind she finds in the dark. So what happens when Tucker refuses to step aside and leave her be?

The handsome stranger terrifies her, and yet, Tucker is terrified that if she doesn’t give him a second glance, they might miss out on something special.

BLUFF is a fast paced ride through the backstreets of our favorite town on a beat up motorcycle. This newest instalment in the bestselling Stacked Deck series is heart wrenching, healing, and shows that former monsters can become present day heroes.

But first, Tucker needs to call Nora’s bluff and get her to trust. If only once.

SO. FREAKING. BEAUTIFUL.

"Out of darkness and tragedy, came a love so deep, so pure and bright, that I was able to begin to heal."

Mrs. Emilia Finn did her thing again, and by her thing I mean make me cry. Nora is a side character who has had appearances in a lot of past books and after learning her tragic story I feel like I've been waiting for her HEA for centuries. And this didn't fail; healing trope, opposites attract, grumpy-sunshine dynamic and a puppy, this story WAS EVERYTHING i dreamed of.

10 years after seeing her sister being murdered in front of her eyes, Nora is still traumatized. Little by little she has come out of her stupor and has begun to live a quiet life, but without leaving the limits of her comfort zone, surrounded by her new family who treat her with silk gloves. But Tucker Morris is not ok with that. He prefers his new neighbor when she's snapping and threatening him with her big dog, but he doesn't know what's the deal with her and is willing to find out slowly stepping into her life and breaking down her barriers.

The friendship and romance here was phenomenal. Nora and Tucker had a rocky start, but little by little they learned about each other and began a sincere and honest friendship, even though the chemistry between them was always there. And when was the time to talk about love and feelings?? LET'S TALK ABOUT THE CUTENESS. Their relationship could be considered a little slowburn, but I swear they had it all. The banter was on point, funny, cute and swoon-worthy moments, a bit of heartbreak and angst and unexpected declarations of love, Nora and Tucker really served.

And then there are the side characters. I always say this but damn if Nora's interactions with some of them didn't make me cry like a baby. The first thing I loved was the friendship between Nora and Evie. I swear I wanted to kill someone when in the previous books people were hating Nora just for breathing near Ben and doing things like #teamEvie, so now I guess it sucks to be you because my girls are BEST FUCKING FRIENDS. The two are completely opposites but they understand each other so well, even when Smalls is being loud and annoying Nora is there secretly enjoying those happy moments of being pulled out of her shell.

And the Checkmate breadcrumbs. It was obvious that we were going to have moments between them, but they were SO beautiful. I loved this big brothers-parents relationship that Kane and Jay have with Nora and how the whole team is part of her family and they're always caring about her. They have come a long way together and all because of a horrible event, so seeing them so close was really heartwarming.

Basically I live for these books and these characters so I just hope Emilia never gets tired of writing about them 🤧😭.

I was planning on writing a good review but my eyes are still blurry from crying. This book is just another reminder of how Emilia writes realistic characters, make you fall in love with them and makes you part of their family, even if you don't want to. I rarely get so emotionally invested in books but this one is the exception.

*3.5-4*

Nora witnessed something awful that no one should have to at the young age of 16. For the last decade she has been living in fear because of that night. She is happy where she is in life, with work and her friends, even if Evie is the most obnoxious person on earth. Well she was happy until Tucker aka Chuck moves in next door. Because of her trauma she doesn't do well with change and when he moves in he disrupts her life when she wasn't expecting it.

I was indifferent to both Chuck and Nora from the previous books but I wasn't about to skip an Emilia book so of course I read it. Nora got on my nerves but I understood where she was coming from with her issues. I also felt that there were some inconsistencies with her character. She feared men and night but would go on blind dates that Evie set her up with? That seemed beyond odd to me. But we move on and try and accept it as character growth. And that is where Chuck comes in. Even though she wanted to hate him Chuck is what gave Nora the growth that she needed. I loved that he knew that he needed to gently push her in subtle ways that she didn't even realize he was doing. She just thought he was being the annoying neighbor once again. It was kind of perfect.
These two were funny. Emilia knows her banter and she delivered with Chuck and Nora. I loved that I got to see some Bishops. I loved that I got to see some Evie, Ben, Mac and Lucy but was bummed that I barely saw Bryan. For how close Chuck and Bryan were in Bryan's book I was hoping to see more of him. Of course I enjoyed the book and I will tell everyone to read it but wasn't my fav.

Emilia’s books are almost always 5 ⭐️ for me. I liked Tucker and Nora’s love story. I just have a few disappointments in the way Emilia is writing her love scenes in some of her recent books. This happened in Mac’s & Spencer’s book also. Maybe a few others, I just can’t remember. When the couple finally get together physically, the scene cuts away to the next day. I feel cheated as a Romance reader when the morning after scene is neglected. The love scenes are a little dry and lack imagination. This is a love story so I am hoping for more romance and tenderness. Instead we are told the next “two weeks the sex is non stop” but we as readers are not invited to be a part of that experience. I don’t want BDSM crap, I just want the physical side of their love story to be shared more than a couple of paragraphs.

So much time is given to Nora’s emotional well being. It seemed out of character for her to have randomly slept with an almost stranger for her first few times (lost her virginity) then the same character can’t leave her apt after 8 at night? Doesn’t make sense to her emotionally damaged character. I wished that Tucker had been her one and only because he was the real hero to her healing soul. It would have brought a tenderness to their love story that I felt was missing.

Emilia is one of my top 5 favorite authors. So I will always read any book she writes. I hope she brings more romance back to her characters in her future books.

The Bluff book is book six of the Stacked Deck Series, a spinoff of the Rollin On series. This series focuses on the second generation of the characters in The Rollin On series. All by the same author Emilia Finn. Please start with the Rollin On Series, PLEASE. I cannot stress that enough. It is not required, but it makes these so much better. You need all the background from the first series. If you have time, I will read the Checkmate Series too, but read book one. It will help us understand the situation. You learn more about Nora in the Wildcard (Stacked Deck Book one). Lots of background work if you want, but it can be read without the background.

I can honestly say that these books are getting better with each one. The Tucker Morris and Nora story is everything you are looking for in a great read. We first meet Tucker in the No Limits (book five) book. He works with Bryan Kincaid at the track and races a motorcycle. We first read about Nora in the Pawns in the Bishop's Game (Checkmate series book one). Then you learn how she is doing in Wildcard (stacked Deck Book one). This romance blooms fast and is beautiful; they burn very hotly. With lives that are not so far apart, they learn to trust one another and build a unique and beautiful romance.
The character development was good and well thought out; it built on the reader's knowledge from previous books.

This book does have a HEA, and it does not have a cliffhanger.

Blew me away with how GOOD it was

I waited an entire month to read about Tucker aka Chuck and Nora only because I never connected with her character despite the tragic experiences she’s encountered. Well the jokes on me, because had I just trusted in Emilia’s talent I would have enjoyed this awesome book a freaking month ago!!

Tucker who we first heard/read about when he was a teenager working in Ang’s garage and then learned a bit more about during Mac & Bean and Bry & Maddi’s books is a freaking amazing man and unbelievably perfect for Nora.

The friendships we see with layers upon layers of depth and emotion are pretty special. Seeing Evie and Nora’s relationship having developed and grown to wheats they consider themselves sisters based on the talents of an author who writes pure gold.

This book inspired a nearly cathartic level of laughter and joy at some of the crazy ass lines and actions of Tucker and the Bishops. The group chat the morning after the blanket fort was epically brilliant. Of course the evening before’s hallway greeting in a birthday suit and then later a capful of mouthwash was pretty spectacular.

Lesson learned...don’t freaking wait to read a single book Emilia Finn writes!!

Love Chuck

This is the first book that didn't center around a Kincaid or a fighter. Nora, if you recall, is the woman semi-responsible for breaking up Ben and Evie in Wildcard. She's suffered a severe trauma and as a result lives her life in a very organized and controlled manner.

Chuck is that funny guy who works at the garage with Mac. Chuck is fun, charismatic, sweet, and kind of bad-ass. So when he moved into the apartment across the hall from Nora, it was interesting to see how things would play out.

As I expected, for the majority of the book, I still did not like Nora, however that's not in any way a reflection of the writing. Nora's character is well written and stays true to who she is, even as her character grows throughout the story. I just personally don't care for her.

Chuck was almost exactly what I expected him to be, with a different side that made him that much more charming. If you don't find yourself swooning over Chuck, I'd be highly surprised.

As far as the story as a whole, it was a little lacking for me. There was no outside plot that moved things along, rather just the timetable on their relationship. It was almost purely a romance novel, which isn't bad, just not what I expected from the Stacked Deck series.

Watch Her Fly

I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Nora to get a HEA. We first met Nora a whole bunch of books ago, and for the very few times she’s actually appeared in Emilia’s books up to this point, she’s left huge impacts, but I still think this book could be read independently. Chuck has danced around in the background for a while, we first met him around the time we first met Nora but he’s been a mystery up until the previous book.
Nora lived through a very traumatic moment in her teens that shaped her into the hesitant woman she is. Chuck, real name Tucker, breaks into her world and shakes the foundation she thinks she needs. Total opposites, they might have more in common at their core than they realize.
Nora’s history is dark, but this book is anything but. So much laughter and banter in this book as Nora comes out of the shell she’s sheltered herself in. Tucker and Nora are so good together and I was so happy to read about where her life is now. Bonus—seeing the Checkmate crew with their menacing looks and marshmallow middles was the cherry on top of this book.

Ok so my last two reviews on this series were that the story’s were flat and this book was the same!
I don’t know what it is but I have such high hopes and I don’t want to be disappointed but I am!
Checkmate was so much more and this series is so flat.
Chuck and Nora are both great characters and this story could have gone in so many different exciting Avenues but didn’t for some reason. Nothing even happened until 86% they spent the night together then when she went to watch him race i though oh yeah this is going to be good but nothing......nothing happened at all. No drama, no nothing it was flat. Just a boy and girl fell in love story that’s it. Not a very long book as with the others in this series so I feel like the author could make it longer.
Maybe the next one will be better but I’m not holding out much hope at this point. And it’s sad as I don’t want to leave a bad review as I love roller town so much and invested so much time in these books and love each character.

oh my god!!!

This book is seriously incredible after reading Nora’s horrific story as a back ground she. One stands tall and faces her demons with her big - yet goofball of a big dog with Tuck(Chuck) at her side, teaching her that it’s okay to let go and fly.. he used his history, whit and annoying charm to bring her the peace she’s always desired, that with her best friends and family they‘ve helped Nora to believe that she can be fearless and fight off those horrendous demons that threaten her daily.. this story had me gripped, so gripped I’ve spent the entire day reading and barely put it down. This is what Emilia does, she creates the most amazing stories that captivate your whole being.. my hearts been stolen by these brutes of men and fearless women. My god there is no coming back from this.. my heart is captivated, in every single book.

Great Read

Wonderful story about a semi-broken woman and her perfectly imperfect new neighbor! We knew going in that Nora was going to be a tough read because we all know what happened to her, BUT again I was shocked at how much she’s grown since starting to hang out with Evie! This story hurt way less than I expected and I’m really glad of it. I laughed out loud, squealed out loud (on more than one occasion) and cried real tears for this book. Emilia’s books make the best of us masochist because not only do her books hurt us in the best possible way, we keep coming back for more and begging for the next one! Thanks Emilia for all you do and for giving such a wonderful world to be a part of with each and every fantastic book you write!

So brave and strong

The glimpses of Nora in the previous books show the devastation that can happen to the psyche when someone lives through great tragedy and horror. This book shows the growth and healing of someone who has been brought into the protection of so many of the beloved characters in the series, and you get interaction with them once again. Tucker and Nora make you laugh, swoon, melt and cry, and then you do it all over again and again. Every book from Emily Finn is exceptional and this one doesn’t disappoint. It think I fell in love with Tucker because he tried so hard to do it right, and he kept working at it. He was just an average guy with a heart of gold. Cannot wait for the next one!

Two Lost Souls

Tucker Morris is a loud, obnoxious man. Who is very sexy and extremely nice. Most of the time with a big smile on his face. He walked into town as a teenager and never left. Asking for a job and the garage and earning the respect of the owner. He came in as an apprentice. Nora is a friend to most of the kids in town. She is very quiet and likes routine. But when a noisy mouthy Tucker "Chuck" Morris moves in nextdoor she is on for lots of stress for a while. Unlike everyone else she knows he doesn't treat her with kid gloves. He pushes her to do more. To want more. They are complete opposites. But fit together perfectly. Loved their story. It fit in very well with the series.

I'm not crying your crying

Holy smokes that ending! 😭😭 Evie sure knows how to hit us right in the feels when were least expecting it.
Now onto Nora's story. I have been cringing and biting my nails for Nora's story since we read Kanes story and omg was it just as heartbreaking and empowering as expected. Nora is one of the strongest bravest women in the Rollin / Checkmate family and she has earned her place through blood and tears. Watching her come into her own after all these years was an honest to goodness pleasure. And with Chuck, no Tucker. It was great to learn more about him and get to see him as more than a side character.
An amazing story by an amazing author. Well done Emilia Finn well done.

Ghaaahhh

This book gives me all the feels. I’ve always loved “Chuck’s” quick wit and humor. I’m so glad he got his own book. He is just what Nora needs. Pushy, sweet, funny and protective. Not to mention super hot. There were parts of this book that I literally laughed out loud. My favorite part of these books is how all the characters from all the series come and go and are so intertwined. It’s not like you read one story and are like, “hmm, I wonder what ever happened to....?” Makes you feel like you are part of the “family”. I love all of these series. I could literally read about them FOREVER! Never stop writing about them. It would be a sad sad day. 💕🥰. I wonder where the ice cream cone will show up next.

The real survivors

Wow. Just.... wow. I've read every book Emilia has released, but this one will forever hold my heart.
She captures the rawness of survivors guilt, the claws of PTSD, and the rebirth that only love can bring. To love a broken person can feel like war, and to be broken learning to accept love is equally terrifying.
This book captures the feelings that those who've walked that road can truly understand and gives hope for those who haven't found it yet. Every Nora deserves a Tuck, but for those waiting, this book can hold their hope. I truly believe this may be the best love story ever written.

Another book to make me fall in love

The story of Tucker and Nora was heart wrenching in the best of ways. Nora trying to overcome her demons and grow into someone stronger was beautiful to read. Got to revisit old friends and watch new relationships form. This book is beautiful and by far my favorite that I've read. You can feel the community support and love each other. Reading Emilia's books are like finding home in every single one of them. I can't wait for the next in this series. In my opinion Emilia Finn is the greatest romance author this generation has. All of her books deserve 5 stars.

The PERFECT book!!

I wrote to one of my book reading buddies by chapter 6 to tell her how much I was loving Chuck and Nora’s story. Then I texted her again on chapter 11 to tell her I was “swooning” and then I reread that chapter just because. After that, I couldn’t stop reading, through the swoons, the tears, the grins, more swoons, the sobs. Emilia Finn is the ONLY author that I’ve purchased every book she’s written and one of the few whose books I’ll buy immediately or pre-order. The world of the Rollers, Survivors, Checkmates, and Stacked Deck is as real as it gets! ❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️

Emilia has done it once again! This book and these characters...though we know them through earlier books....they have left me speechless. Bluff did not disappoint. Emilia has brought an entire cast of characters to life and literally, those of us who are addicted, live for release day! Tucker and Nora were so beautifully damaged and yet so perfect together. I fell in love with these two and the interaction between them. You will NOT be disappointed if you join in with the rest of us “Rollers”. Emilia Finn...I love her brain, her heart and her ability to make these characters come alive and be part of my life!

Can't get enough Emilia Finn

From the very first you are captured. You know their backgrounds but you don't know their full stories. This is more than just another book by Emilia Finn. For those of us who read her, this is the next letter from home. We see all our favorites, if only for a sentence or two. We get to fall in love with those who were in the background but have finally had the strength and time they needed to push forward and share their thoughts with us. Bluff is smiling, laughing and crying all in one place along with the good kind of heartbreak. I'm ready to start my re-read right now.

A terrific story and series

This was an intriguing story, as well as an emotional roller-coaster that you certainly won't want to miss. Nora has lived through unimaginable horrors and tragedy since she was 16 years old and her life changed forever. Tucker, aka Chuck, has been a master mechanic at Angelo's s shop for years, but very few people actually know of his life prior to him coming to town. When the two keep getting thrown together, it literally throws them both into situations out of their control. Will they be able to conquer their fears? It's a definite must read book and series.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

OMG

I must say the last book in this series was good but not my favorite, I was not as excited for this one as I have been in the past. Then I opened this book and BAM hooked from the very first page.
Nora has been a background character that has always been nice to check in on and Chuck was just there, when you put them together.......explosive. I laughed out loud, I cried ugly tears and sighed with happiness. This book, in my opinion, is the best book yet in Emilia Finns collection.

Heartwarming and funny

Nora & Chuck have both dealt with tragedy in their lives and lost those closest to them. Both deal with the loss in different ways. Nora is closed off and terrified where Chuck is crude and living life. Can they come together and find the love they both deserve or will fear of the past cause them to lose happiness. Emilia Finn once again delves into the souls of her characters and allows us to be a part of their lives. The good, the bad, the ugly, we get to see it all. You’ll laugh, cry and cheer for Chuck and Nora. 💜

Once Again

I'm not sure I can even write right now because I have years streaming down my face. I have always felt something special for Nora even when so many hated her. And Tucker (I have reasons why I love that more than Chuck) deserved his story from day one. This book will make you feel. This book will make you laugh. And at the very end this book will have you ugly cry because these characters in fictional books are our families and the love they have for one another give all of us hope for a better life.

So much goodness

If you have never read an Emilia book, start at the beginning, not here. If you have, you know the gamut of emotion she puts her readers through. She has the most beautiful endings, the most believable crazy twists, and the best ever characters. This one is just the same. How does she keep making greatness? Clearly, she takes her coffee with a shot of awesome every morning, or that's how Australians are grown. The Hemsworth bros are Australian too, so it's believable. Anyway... great book AGAIN, read them all, join the crazy.

Wow, just wow!!

What an ending! Once again, Emilia Finn has given us a masterpiece of emotions, and what family truly means. I write this review with tears sliding down my cheeks. Tucker and Nora are amazing. Their relationship was not easy but it was incredible. Tucker gave Nora strength to fight her demons and she came out on top. He was her true white knight. Absolutely adored this book and would so give it more than 5 stars. Emilia Finn you are truly amazing. Thank you for sharing your gift with us all.
