A Fae court Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance

"I'll ravish you for hours. Days. I won't ever stop." That's the Fae Kings' ritual of courting and claiming. Sorry I asked.

The three Fae kings insist I'm their fated mate, and they're terrible at sharing.

I know I should turn my back on them before they ruin me.

They're too ruthless, feral, possessive, and well, too hot for me to feel safe.

A girl would have a better chance of swimming with sharks than walking among the predatory Fae, let alone tangling with them between the sheets.

But did I adhere to my own advice?

And now my unbridled lust complicates everything, leading me right into the Dawn Queen's trap. To claim the kings for herself, the viper thrusts me into the Wild Hunt.

There's only one way out of the deadly game--unleash the terrible, forbidden magic in me, jump off the cliff, and hope my mates catch me.

Like the story, don't like the MC

The premise of this series is interesting, and the kings are progressing well. However, the main character seriously bugs me. Does she really have to be that mean to her siblings? Can't she think of even the possibility that the winter king is just protecting her? She decides that all fae are bad, then the other two kings are ok, but she doesn't want any fae in her house? It didn't sit well with me. But the story was good and I'll stick around for the next book.

This is more of after thoughts rather than a review so if you find yourself here beware there is mostly spoilers. The actions were still a little corny and predictable but it didn’t really stop me from enjoying the story. Ah I feel like Rydstrom is getting the most action out of Evelina. He’s also the one getting the most “screen time” considering Rowan and Baron usually have to share the spotlight. Man Evelina really needs to stop doubting certain things *cough *cough Rowan *cough *cough. Pretty sure that Rowan fits in the sacrificial portion of the prediction and not the betrayal. Yes, I’ll admit seeing him do that would’ve made anyone angry in that moment but come on Evelina think. She’s getting so many hints too so how can she not connect the dots?!? Will Rydstrom be the one to betray her or will it be Baron? On one hand Rydstrom could be it since the author has yet to reveal who it is the dawn queen is holding captive (so he could go against his “mate” for the sake of that special person) but maybe Baron could grow tired of “losing” to Rydstrom especially once he finds out everyone but him has bonded with Evelina. Now that I say it it doesn’t really click. If anything maybe Baron will break her heart even though it feels like she has a deeper connection with Rydstrom. Can’t wait for the next part! But was it delayed? At the end of the book it was mentioned that it would be available in Dec but on Amazon it said it won’t be delivered till Jan 2021.

I can’t tell you how much I do not recommend this book.

I massively struggled to get though this. I think this is the longest read I’ve had in years. It was a major slog.
The main character is insanely annoying. She’s supposed to be strong, stubborn, independent and protective of her family but she’s just dumb, obstinate, rash, massively annoying and constantly making horrible decisions that are either really selfish or directly put her family in danger. (She’s supposed to be taking care of her younger siblings with her parents being missing). She will be directly told something and then just decide it meant something else entirely? She jumps to conclusions all the time that make no sense and obstinately stick to them. She’s directly told repeatedly how she needs to learn things or train and how dangerous things are and she’s just like nah. This is fine.
This desperately needs a good editor.
The spelling and grammar is fine but the continuity errors are constant, the author randomly uses words she thinks sound sophisticated or smart or something? But they aren’t used correctly at all. Every time it happens it’s jarring. She also likes to use flowery prose that don’t necessarily make sense. She tries to embellish her intimate scenes with weird metaphors that actually don’t make sense.
Example it felt like the forbidden stars.

A quick one day read. But definitely better then book 1!
Big improvements have been made in character- and world building.

I am curious how the betrayal from this book will play out. I is obvious he did it to protect the lead character and to give her an ultimate escape. A betrayal and sacrifice in one. It was gritty and exciting to read about. I do love a big betrayal of a loved one in a book:)

I sure hope it all works out in book #3 and that it won't be like. "He babe I did it for you" and she just forgives him and that is it.

I don't like loose end in a book. So I hope to read about the giggle of the wicked queen. He has been with the other woman a whole day. It can not be explained that nothing happened. And then is there the fact he had a harem? Will that be explained why he didn't told her about that? There have been so many hints that the mystery is almost lost for the reader.

I still think the other two fey kings don't add anything to the mix. I would have been ok if it was just Rydstrom. > He is still my favorite :)

The lead character is a kick-ass young female with the attention of three that is not shy, know how to give a lap dance, is too horny to think straight but can't look at them because they are pretty?! I don't get it.

p.s. who is taking care of the kids when she is gone? or is all this only happening during school hours?! ha ha

DNF. It’s not a horrible book.

I don’t like the FMC, she’s all I’m a strong independent woman and then a super whiny horrible person.

I don’t like the way she treats and interacts with her siblings. She treats all but 1 like crap and thinks bad about them. I have a bunch of siblings and get annoyed with them but i would never seriously treat them like she does, and she isn’t playing, she’s serious.

I also don’t like how she treats her mates. She’s a B!
I mean come on, she’s so stupid she can’t figure out what her “mate” is doing is to protect her from the evil Queen. I mean it’s hinted at so many times and the timing and everything should also clue her in. But no she’s a strong independent woman and he screwed her over. “Insert giant eye roll.”

Frost fae

This book was tumultuous to say the least. I waited a bit to read this due to the prophecy. My nerves are shot from guessing who. That Dawn cow needs a good thrashing. How can kings protect her when their knights keep getting annihilated?

2.5 Stars 🌟

I actually had the complete series collection on audio (It had all 4 books on one book) when I started this. I wasn't really in a position to be able to change books at the time and it was a kind of listen to this or do not listen to anything. Why am I mentioning this? Well, because it was not too far into the first book when I started thinking...."oh no...." and I had to decide to keep going or just stop. Well, I made it through the first book and the second, but then I just could not go on any longer.

First of all, we have a female MC who has been raised as a human for her entire life. She has 6 other siblings and has left for her first year of college. She then discovers that her parents are missing and comes home to take care of her siblings while the police are looking for her parents. Okay so far, right?

That was probably the only part that made sense. Not too long after, there is some type of attack in their home with some type of monster who is trying to kill her. She ends up killing it with some type of shadow that comes out of her (that's a surprise, right?), but decides that's not anything to worry about. Then she meets two Fae Kings who happen to be in her front yard, she can understand the Fae language and yet she doesn't think any of this is weird. She is obnoxious, arrogant and spoiled.

Little by little, it comes out that her parents have been training her (and ONLY her - none of her other siblings) in martial arts, hunting, sword fighting, guns her entire life...get the picture? Oh, and they called her "Princess". She also had instances where "odd" things happened to her while growing up where she appeared to have certain "powers" But, that doesn't mean anything.... Again, she refuses to believe ANYTHING that every single of these "Supernaturals" that she is now running into quite often - are telling her.

So, it didn't take long for me to just have a problem with the female MC. I just couldn't like her. She had so many moments that were TSTL. Seriously. And did I mention she was annoying?

And of course, this is a RH so there are 3 Kings who want her - she is their True Mate of course -and there are the many, many requisite descriptions of EXACTLY how she feels around them (LUST), all while trying to ignore any type of information that might explain this new situation..

I did think, okay, let's keep going and see what is going to happen (the actual plot had potential) so I kept going to book 2. Honestly, it was more of the same. There was some progress with her discovering things that she really couldn't deny any longer. There was that. But then she is so emotionally immature. She wants one king, mates with him, and then doesn't even understand when there is danger that could kill her and that people are trying to protect her. She wants to scream and yell when people tell her to be quiet if she wants to live because the situation is dangerous. Does she listen? No, because she's pissed and feeling slighted without paying attention and trying to understand EXACTLY what was going on....ugh.....I could not.

Just no. No more.

So - that was it. I made it to the halfway point (I finished two books out of 4) and I decided to call it quits.

I really need to get in the habit of watching my page counts when I read Meg's books. The end always seems to jump up and smack me in the face when I least expect it. I'm blaming her amazing talent and the fact that she sucks me in so deep that I lose focus of everything else around me. So, once again, that's what has happened with this one. It ends on a cliffhanger, but it's the perfect place to put one. The action is at a pause, as is the romances, and things are on the cusp of change.

There are many unknowns, untruths, and betrayals in this story. It's full of action, adventure, danger, and excitement, too. Eve is continuing to grow as a person and into her powers, and I love the way she tends to vacillate between being strong and mature and being young and unsure. Her family continues to be her main focus, which is another thing I love, and she will fight for them until her dying breath, but she is also starting to understand her importance to the world as a whole. This adds a new dimension to her character and makes me love her even more. I'm interested in seeing where some of the character relationships go, two in particular, and how their actions will influence the story. I'm also anxious to see what other horrors await Eve and those she loves.

This is a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, melt your heart with love, inflame your passions, and leave you begging for more.

I was good until halfway through when I felt like the MC got dumber and more forgiving out of nowhere. She talks a lot that she forgives but doesn’t forget but I think she definitely forgot the first meeting with Baron in book 1 after she said she treated him unfairly in the beginning and blah, blah, blah. She treated him just like the asshole he was being. She was just mad at ’s betrayal and used that to turned to the other two. After saying she was done with all Fae, might I add.

But the part that really got me was

With that said I’m still going to read the next book and hope she regains her intelligence.

Meh to the characters

Started to get real annoyed with the main character. The author is trying to portray her as a strong capable woman, but half of the time she wants to be prove she’s a fighter and runs head first to a world she has no knowledge of or she is too horny to think straight. At least fae kings were getting better with their development.

There are too many story lines and a lot of point forgotten then brought back up.
-where are her parents
-still taking care of kids
-are they all adopted or actual biological kids of the mages. If so why weren’t they told/can’t see through glamour.
- one is making prophecies
-who is the fourth
-who is her dad
-what’s the wild hunt
-why did the demons want to kidnap, then kill/torture, then make a deal, then work for the queen. There is no distinction on their goals.

I feel like that escalated quickly. I feel like barely anything of note happened in book one and just the opposite happened in book 2 we learn more about what it means to be a mate and just how possessive the three kings can be, but we also see them work together to try to protect Evie, the best they can
As a prediction, I will say I don’t think the winter king is actually betraying her like they were literally talking about it and she didn’t make the connection? He’s doing what he’s doing to protect her be a double agent.

Her sister is definitely sus

I’m also wondering is she truly a dark one? Means she has the power and we’ve already suspected that her sister is she could see through her glamour. Needless to say it was a good read and I will definitely be continuing with the story.

Nope

I can't even with this series. She calls her Night mates soldiers Night knights and I'm just done. I can't read that (and the term comes up almost every chapter) and take these books seriously. Also, it's so obvious that the winter king did what he did to save her from the evil queen. But she's too stubborn to see that of course. Evie plows headfirst into situations while ranting about how she's a strong independent woman and no one can tell her what to do. But guess what: she's a moron who needs these guys to save her butt time and time again because she's too stupid to ask for help. Between the Knight nights and the completely unlikable FMC, I'm done. I won't be reading the rest of the series and I don't recommend it.

Even was a disappointment

I can understand being strong and independent, but there is no shame in having partners. Mates mean that both partners own each other's soul. It is mutual and exclusive. Evie getting mad because of the mate thing was stupid. In book 1, I understood the hesitation because everything was new. Then, she gets mad over one of her mates actions, thinking he betrayed her. Yet, it was obvious he didn't. She acted like a child. Then to top it all off, she makes a decision without thinking in through, when we ask knew it was a trap. There was nothing hidden. The trap could have been a neon sign. I was really disappointed in this book, particularly because of Evie.

Understanding more about Evelina and her lost heritage has led into more interesting displays of power from her. Rydstrom is forever my favorite. It’s strange to me how she immediately went to Rowan betraying her even after he said not to listen to a single thing he said. It was pretty obvious to me that he kept trying to distract the dawn queen even if it broke his heart to do it, just to save her. I mean I could be wrong, after all Fae aren’t supposed to be able to lie, but it’s still in the back of my mind. Justice for K!! That bear deserved better. Also Evelina is smarter than being led into a trap like that, come onnnnnn. Just annoys me. Curious as to the wild hunt and how they plan to try to help her through it though. Onward

Okay so at this point we have some inconsistencies with the series, with the information that our MC has and or had before. Sometimes I just brushed things aside and was like: ??? Confusion? But moving on.

Otherwise, it's still on the same level of silly, fun, medium burn spice that I appreciated with the first book.

why would the author do that to the FMC?

Why did the author make Evelina dumb this book? Liiiiiiiiike be for real! The king said, “ I do everything for a reason.” She turns around and becomes a jealous, petulant child, saying she was betrayed. Like why she couldn’t put two and two together? It just made me so mad that the author did this to her this book. This was not the way to create discourse and drama in the series. Evelina is talking out how if the Queen found out who she was it would’ve been all bad yet she still chose to believe the worst. Granted, these guys still leave a lot to be desired. Then to believe the detective? Just eye roll.

Some misspelled and misused words.

DNF 48%.
I liked the first book and the FMC showed promise.

HOWEVER, I already wanted to DNF at 2% seeing how rude and bratty she was getting. I still tried but no.
She gets worse every page: doesn't want to believe the obvious when she has proof and seen it, treats the Kings who are doing everything to protect and help her and her siblings like trash, is extremely rude and self righteous.
More: she's the kind of dumb and stupid that thinks she's the last drop of water in the desert.

Also, nothing happened. Aside from attacks, nothing happens and the romance doesn't evolve.
After one book and a half, I gave up.

Exciting and sexy!

Finally a RH with an exciting storyline. Strong & stubborn heroine and hot alpha kings are just the beginning. As an interesting twist, she has young siblings, a lot of siblings. I love the family aspect of this story. So many threats and so many surprises. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Victoria Mei is a fantastic narrator. She really has a way of bringing these characters to life. Well done. This is book 2 and ends on a cliffhanger. I recommend this book/series.

Picked up right where the last book left off..

Frost Fae picked right up where book #1 left off, so you definitely need to read each book in order. Eve can sometimes get annoying with her constant pig headedness and refusal to listen to others. But I get that she's doing the best she can to both understand this new world she's suddenly been thrown into, and take care of her siblings too. All the while looking for her parents, avoiding getting killed by hit men, and figure out her new powers. To say she has a lot on her plate is putting it lightly. Great book though!

I zipped right through this series. I've read some of the one star reviews; people indicating that they couldn't even get through the first book without casting it aside. Not me. I liked that the MC didn't abandon her human family when she discovered she was an immortal. Some of the sex scenes seemed gratuitous, but what are you going to do? The constant horniness got old but at least there was quite a bit of action, deception, a nasty villain and HEA. Loved Fawn and the other siblings. They weren't relegated to never being heard from once introduced. I think the kings were pretty interchangeable, other than for the domains they ruled over. Not a whole lot of difference between them.

I'm leaving the same review for all four books since I've read several others since I got around to writing this so I don't remember what happened when.

so at least this one was slightly better. But again the girl is dumb as hell and her siblings make no sense. She also keeps doing dumb shit like throwing herself into battles that keep getting other people killed cause she refuses to leave. She keeps saying I won't leave them to fight alone but does she think about the fact that they could get out too she just listens once in a while and leave when she's told to. She's supposed to be the queen to unit all but there is a difference between fighting with your people and throwing yourself into a battle just cause your stubborn.

Holy Fae!

Wow! This book literally encompasses every adjective I can think of. It is crazy intense and exciting, and steamy and dangerous and sad and empowering and heart wrenching. I just couldn’t put it down.
Evie’s life sure has changed quickly. From a normal college student to a surrogate mom and Fae Princess basically overnight. And the danger and destruction and brutality is new life brings is just shocking. I sure hope she and her siblings all make it through okay. Sounds like it’s just going to get more intense.

Three Kings and Two Queens a full house

Evie is worse than a mother bear when it comes to protecting her siblings. The three kings want nothing more than for her to let them protect her and her loved ones. They want to prove that she is their one true mate. The Bounties put on her head by the false Queen threaten everything. Book 3 the next in the series can’t come soon enough. This series is a must read.

Good read

This was a good addition to the series. A good storyline and fantastic characters. The men are a little too arrogant and the mc is way too sex addled. The first 8 chapters were one fighting event and the rest was thinking about sex or about being wet. I almost quit reading but finally halfway through it got interesting. In a rh I like the heat as much as the story but there needs to be a balance.

Gut wrenching action!

Evie has a lot on her plate. But things are not going as smoothly as they should. Rowan, Barron and Rydstrom are having a difficult time ensuring trust with Evie. Evie is trying to protect her siblings, her home, and humanity from the Fae world. Now she has to get ready for the Wild Hunt and she has not gone through The Turning yet. What are her chances of survival? Book 3 should help with the answers.

I’m so glad I found this series again!

I had forgotten about this series since reading Fever Fae last June, but I’m so glad I found it again! I instantly fell in love with Evelina and her fae kings after the first one; I can’t wait to see what will happen in book three! I’m glad some answers were finally revealed to us in this book, but there’s still so many unanswered questions. On to book three...

This book was as great as the first one. I really enjoy the relationship between the kings and Evie. They all have a relationship with her and they all have a reason to be with her and they are separated from each other. I love RH series, but I hate when the majority of the book is filled with threesome, foursome, and more... I love that she has multiple partners without having a convoluted sex life that is less realistic.

awful

Read through the first book hoping the second would be better. I was unfortunately wrong.

The writing style is bizarre and childish, the characters are just plain odd. It reads almost as if the author has attempted an enemies to lovers but skipped the actual grit and characterisation needed to sustain the trope.

Even the relationships with the siblings are shallow and strange.

Strange, bizarre and disappointing.
