Hoorah! Another debut Love Inspired Suspense author who is now high up on my must read list! I love when that happens. Great storytelling. lots of drawn out suspense and a second chance romance! Sooooo much to love about Following the Evidence.

Especially canine heroine Sadie who saves the day on more than one occasion. She's like a warm fuzzy Cujo. Bwahahaha! Her human, Emma, is pretty fierce too, especially when she's in mama bear mode. And don't get me started mooning over how Reed takes to baby Lily because I could write an essay on that. Happy sigh. I do so love a hero with a soft spot for kiddos.

Love the reunion romance that gets off to a shaky start but soon morphs into friendship, because, really, when you keep saving each others lives you can't hold on to past hurts, right? And then it's a short hop from friendship to romance though a taut, edge-of-your-seat suspense plot complicates the hope of a happily ever after.

A devour-in-one-sitting romantic suspense lover's dream.

He may be her one chance to survive...

Well, Lynn Shannon may be a new-to-me author but already I'm hooked! Following The Evidence starts of with a break-in and from there on in it's one wild ride of mystery, explosions, danger, and romance.

I read Following The Evidence in pretty short order. It was so much fun trying to figure out who the criminal mastermind was, I had it narrowed down to two suspects and was quite pleased with myself when it turned out one of the two was it, and I couldn't seem to put my Kindle down. Seriously, while this is not Lynn Shannon's first book, it is her Love Inspired Suspense debut, and she has the LIS style down perfectly.

I'm also a longtime softy for dog stories, in this case a search-and-rescue dog. I fell in love with Sadie right off the bat. Not only does she do her SAR job well, but she's also very protective of her human family.

Great story. Good author. Don't miss Following The Evidence from Lynn Shannon.

Solid 4.5 star
This book pulls you in from the start not just due to the sexual tension between Emma and Reed, but with the apparent danger that not only Emma but her wee girl Lily and sister in-law Vivian appear to be in. This book is the perfect mix of mystery, danger and romance and trying to work out who is behind the attacks and threats to Emma has you switching who you think it is plenty of times and there are some great red herrings in it to distract you. The build up between Emma and Reed draws you in and you hope they make it as both need some happiness in there lives but with the intense and at time twisted situations they find themselves in you never know where things will end up!!

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Follow the Evidence. This is Lynn's first book for LIS but it's a great read. This story is well written, action packed and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Widow Emma Pierce has inherited her uncle's home. She sharing the home with her sister-in-law, her baby, and Sadie, her search and rescue dog. Her uncle left the property to her and not his son; his son was furious. She begins to receive threatening notes and calls. Now someone broke into her home in the middle of a storm and attacked her.

Sheriff Reed Atkinson is sitting watching the storm when he gets a call that there is an intruder at Emma's house. She's a woman he once dated and cared deeply for. Since his sister disappearance a year ago he can't let anything happen to Emma or her family.

A terrifying journey to discover who is out to kill Emma. Can they keep each other safe? Could this have anything to do with what happened to his sister? God has a plan for these broken souls, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

Did you do any research into SAR for this? The PD calls on SAR groups to assist, they don't have a SAR dept. Sure some PD officers do FEMA work but those are not PD dogs most of the time, at least for live find. HR is a bit different. No one purchases a SAR dog unless they are too lazy to put in the training themselves and it usually doesn't work out. SAR is also not a criminal case unless you are Human Remains certified for a HRD dog only. Tracking isn't used but trailing is in SAR work as most of the time SAR is called in AFTER police or FD or whoever the IC is needs more resources. Also, you cannot ever self deploy. I don't understand how people put in so much research for writing other professions, but for those of us who put in over 40 yrs a week, pay for all our own equipment, put our lives and health on the line, and our dogs belong to us and that cost and time, that people cannot put in the necessary research to get it right. Did you look up standards for IPWDA, INBTI, NASAR or NAPWDA for researching?

What a great book this was! Definitely edge of your seat action packed non stop adventure with lots of twists and turns!

I loved the main characters in this book, Sheriff Reed Atkinson, widow Emma Pierce, her sweet toddler Lily and Vivian, Emma's sister in law.

After Emma returns to Heyworth, Texas upon inheriting her Uncle Jeb's ranch, her dream is to open a SAR training facility. Sadie, her own tracker dog is her loyal companion.

When Emma's life is constantly threatened Reed proves to be a strong protector and hero. They both learn the importance of having faith and deal with their emotions of having a second chance of a relationship.

I didn't guess who the true perpetrator was. There were lots of page turning events that will keep your heart racing to the end. Don't miss this book!

For a first time author Lynn does a awesome job with this book. I really enjoyed the character of Emma Pierce. She had spunk and backbone. The sheriff Reed Atkinson was a perfect complement for Emma. Lynn was able to catch your interest from beginning to the end of the story. With the action in the story and with the suspense. You don't know what is going to happen next with this story. Its a neat story for the action is fast paced and as to who the bad guy is that will surprise you. Its someone you wouldn't suspect. I'm looking forward to the next book she has come out. I'm hoping for Vi. J

I really loved Lynn Shannon's first debut Love Inspired Suspense book, Following The Evidence! This first book of her's was a definite page-turner that kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next and there was just so many twists and turns in this book that by the time the ending came along you were just in total shock of who the culprit was.. I'm definitely looking forward to more love inspired suspense books from her and I definitely can't wait to see what she comes up with..

4.5 stars.

This is a very well written romantic suspense woven with faith. The characters were developed, believable, likeable and worked so well. I thought that their faith felt real rather than forced, it was a part of them and therefore was a part of the story. I thought the story and characters were interesting and I could have happily carried on reading about them and their friends and family.

Starting over with her search and rescue dog and her baby was supposed to be a fresh start.

Emma is met with a host of unanticipated dangers.

Can her one time love Sheriff Reed work with Emma before she and his sister are lost for good, along with his heart?

Smart and capable women dog and a determined man

This was definitely a love inspired romance and one that was very relaxing to read over the week. Emma and Reed really end up having a sweet romance and it was so intriguing to follow her, her baby and her rescue dog. Reed must discover if there is a connection between the perpetrator that is trying to kill her and the connection between his vanished sister.

This book is about Emma Pierce; her 13-month-old baby girl, Lily; Emma's Search and Rescue dog, Sadie; and Sheriff Reed Atkinson, Emma's first love from high school. Emma is in the business of finding lost people with her trusty search-and-rescue tracking dog. Reed's is in the business of keeping Emma safe and alive, because some person or multiple persons want her dead. Reed's little sister, Bonnie, disappeared about a year ago, and he thinks people wanting dead is connected to Bonnie's disappearance. However, the bounty put on both Emma's and Reed's heads might mean that there is a different reason for wanting Emma dead. Is it because she inherited her Uncle Jeb's land, instead of his own son? Is it because she has a clever search-and-rescue dog that might find something that someone wants to remain unfound? Or is it because of some unsolved mystery of the past? Whatever the reason, Reed must protect Emma and her family.

Reed is not the only hero in this book. There is Sadie, the dog, and her trusty nose of an air-scent dog. I had figured out who the main bad guy was, but I didn't know why. I knew who the other bad guys were, too, the ones who were hired by the main bad guy. I knew that some of the suspects thought of to be bad guys were actually not the bad guys. I gave this book 5 stars.

Kept Me Guessing

Every time I convinced myself which character was the villain, Lynn Shannon would throw out new possibilities. That's exactly what a suspense mystery should be.
The romance portion was also well done. I prefer a clean romance, cast with characters who live their faith. Lynn excels at both and once again, I couldn't put the book down.
If you enjoy clean, inspirational romance with suspenseful twists and turns, you'll probably enjoy this book.

Wonderful fast read

These books are so amazing. Fast reads that keep you fully immersed until they’re over. I loved it. Great mystery though I guessed the bad guy early one. I didn’t know all the how’s or why’s though so that was fun to read about.
