Her Healing Warrior

Rate this book
Aliens kidnapped and tortured me, so how can I trust that an alien wants to protect me?

Evil aliens plucked me from Earth and did terrible things. My alien rescuers say they want to help, but my body can’t help but shy away. But the more Coplan helps me recover, the more my mind starts to open up. He promises me that the sooner I tell him about what happened, the sooner I can go home.

But going home means forgetting all about Coplan. The other Lunarians call him cold, but around me he’s warmth and heat and love. When he looks at me, it’s real, and I didn’t have that back on Earth where my life was carefully constructed perfection.

I’m torn. I’m an influencer with millions of fans and my family back home who are sure to miss me, but I don’t know if my heart will ever recover from losing Coplan. And choosing to stay with him would be the biggest risk I’ve ever taken. Am I ready to be the mate of an alien warrior?

Her Healing Warrior is a full length alien romance where the good aliens are HOT and the bad aliens are vicious. The Lunarians are rescuing abducted humans and finding their mates along the way.

Political implications of abducted humans

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 😪😵‍😑🥺🥰

The heroine: Savannah - Like in books 1-3, Savannah came from Earth of the future, where people and geography of the earth is separated into sectors and colors. The gold and blue sectors are the top tier and the grey class of sector 6 is the bottom, though below even that is the work camps of sector 5 where people get sent when they can’t pay their bills. They don’t even have a class. Savannah and sister Atlanta are gold class social media influencers for the sectors. Though they have become disenchanted with the class systems and their own popularity especially considering they post themselves going to all sorts of high class events when there are grey class people who can’t even feed their families.

The Hero: Coplan - He is one of the ‘healers’ on the Lunarian warship. He disappointed his family when he became a healer (a.k.a. Doctor) instead of a warrior because healers were considered soft and the fact that he would be healing people of a lower class than him was looked down upon by the higher classes like the one he was born into.

The Story: Savannah and Atlanta are the most popular influences but hate the government and the sector system. They wanted to donate their salaries to the grey class but the government wouldn’t allow that. They often talk about how disillusioned they are with their lot in life. They are often photographed eating and drinking, but they have to make up for it with strenuous exercise to keep their thin figures.

While out on an influencer party to celebrate separation day, which marks the anniversary of the day that their world was separated into sectors. The girls don’t see their future as very bright as they get older and their popularity will start to fade. They were the last to leave the celebration when the grey class protesters broke through the window of the club and their guards leave them to check out the situation. That is when they are abducted by the same alien that abducted Bria in book 1, Abducted by the Warrior Prince, with apple pie a ‘la mode, which they were starving for.

The story was told in dual points of view using dual narration, where the female narrator does all the narration in the chapters told from a female point of view and the male narrator does all the narration of the chapters told from a male point of view. The narrators were Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister who both have great voices and do a terrific job. Sierra Kline is great at showing emotion through her voice, especially anxiety, fear, passion and anger.

I liked the fact that Coplan is very moral and determined to think of Savannah as a patient only and not to get interested her like some of the other men on the ship had done with previous humans they had rescued. Especially since becoming mates with a human is no longer just a matter of saving their race, but because some jealous Lunarian women have made the whole issue political including the woman who headed up the specters (Lunarian spies). She is heading up the push to send all human woman back to Earth. Fantastic story in this one!

Earth has become a world divided by class sectors. Human women have been abducted by aliens without earth knowing anything about it. Breeders are sought out across galaxies when Lunarians are looking to strengthen their numbers due to a decline in female mates. Now the Lunarians have seen exactly how human women have been treated by those who kidnapped them and seek to find them and give them a new home in the hopes they will all find the one. But there is danger not only from those of other planets but within their own walls.

I enjoyed the story and felt for the characters as you can see both sides of the coin. There is action, intrigue, pain, suffering, hope, politics and love to be found among the pages.

When a human is involved they will do anything to make them theirs. However, the chemistry explodes, making them confront there are feelings just waiting to be explored. As their connection simmers dangerously close to the surface, they must decide if it is worth the risks that come with uncovering their true desires.

A quick read to take you from reality for a few hours.

Some of the inconsistencies are starting to bug me. This book timeline didn't match the teaser from the last book which was confusing since I read one after the other. And things like the spector's eyes (one book says they take a drug to change them, this one says it's a surgery) kept popping up.

Overall I like the characters but to write consistently about traumatic sexual and physical assault victims and have almost all recover the same way with the implications they were just stronger than the ones who didn't recover like that... It's kind of off putting.

I do appreciate there's no drawn out communication misunderstandings. I hate those and this book shows smart decisions by characters to communicate immediately with each other. It's refreshing.

What an intriguing storyline with an overall storyline arc that faces a major twist - Highly recommend this story and series!!

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, adult intimate scenes and violence.

While this could be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend this be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers due to reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc. While there is a chapter at the end to give a small preview of how the next story begins, Savii and Coplan’s story ends with a HFN/HEA, no spoilers or cheating.

There are a few grammatical errors and I was able to determine the author’s intent easily. The storyline is very strong and interesting, while moving at a fast pace when compared to most PNR stories. I also fell in love with Coplan, he was the right mix of dedicated healer, Lunarian warrior and sexy alien alpha male (although I missed Savii’s reaction when she discovers one of the features that is different between human and Lunarian males).

Here is a quick overview of how the story begins:

Coplan is a Lunarian healer that is newer to the profession than his coworker on the Lunarian space ship, so he will be in charge of the physical and mental recovery of the human female they were able to rescue. Coplan is a professional that has long understood his duty to his people and family, even though he heavily disappointed his father when he decided to become a healer. This was something that was seen as beneath “our class” since it required him to actually “touch or help everyone, regardless of their sector”.

He knew that he would be required to marry whomever his family chose and then ascend his family’s seat on the High Council. Coplan never expected to meet any female that he is drawn to live Savii after her rescue from the Rutharians, a vile race that took and abused whatever they wanted. The Lunarians have been trying to stop them for many years.

Savii and her twin sister, Atlanta, are social media influencers for the sectors. They have been controlled by their parents and the sectors for basically their entire lives. Everything is for show; from the food they supposedly eat (forced to exercise it off, or to spit it out after the shot has been taken), to the parties they attend. Aside from those items, they are basically watched and told what to eat, do, etc.

Then everything changes when the two of them are kidnapped and Savii finds herself tortured, assaulted, and chained in a dark room for an unknown amount of time. When she is “rescued”, she doesn’t understand what is going on and fights back.

Eventually Coplan finds a way to break through to her, and even though she still doesn’t know who she can trust, she stops fighting him and they are able to establish a rapport. Coplan is warned multiple times not to fall in love with her, but he is confident that he won’t be swayed by her charms and gets huffy (or maybe a little bit defensive ? :) ) with a couple of his coworkers when normally he is the one being calm, cool and collected.

I kept it vague for a lot of reasons, but primarily it is because it is more fun if you discover it for yourself.

The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was pretty clean, with few if any typos that I found, though the sentence structure was a little awkward. The characterization was a little thin, with almost none of this novel focused on the ups and downs of the heroine's mental and emotional recovery from her terribly traumatic life, which I felt was a major missed opportunity on the part of the author. The development of the romantic relationship happened extremely quickly considering the heroine's history, and there was no exploration of her ups and downs which should have accompanied their developing sexual relationship. In other words, the depiction of someone going through abuse recovery was really badly done in this novel. The plot and pacing was quick and exciting, with a lot of political maneuvering. There was shockingly little angst in this novel and very high stakes, which I typically prefer in a romance novel, but did not enjoy in this one considering the heroine's history. This novel uses the Mars Needs Women trope and the Partner in Trouble trope. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The development of the romantic relationship and characterization were two stars, because of the really poor representation of abuse recovery in this novel. The combined rating of this novel is therefore three stars. This novel ends on a Happy For Now ending which leaves overarching plot threads unresolved instead of a cliffhanger, which is a plus. I recommend this novel to readers looking for a fun, intellectually undemanding space opera romance. I look forward to reading the next novel in the series when it releases, but I will not be buying myself a keeper copy of this novel.

I enjoyed the continuation of the plotline and book 4 was still, although in the atypical vein of alien romance, was a good story. the H and h were a good match. i loved how he slowly began to get a grip on his feelings and of course old characters still appearing was awesome.
as for book 5, apex was truly badass but the heroine, I just wanted to slap her...continually. the storyline was scattered with no flow. I kept asking myself what and why?
book 6 was really spaced out. different planet, and years equal a day. it was a clever way for the authors to bring about the end of the series. it had been a steady build of theme but needed to come to a a HEA conclusion.
it was an emotional ride when lunaria was finally revealed.
the heroine was innocent with a bit of grit that kept her ticking over for me. bur the H was revealed in a different tone. in all books he's been a womaniser a hellion and portrayed as easy go lucky.
in his own story he's more serious and switches pretty quickly from a promiscuous hero to a claim her she's mine attitude.
bit too quick and wishy. wasn't for me.
finally Ronin, he again was described as a fairly spiritual hero and book 6 is about his revelations and book 7 brings about the world to rights.
I enjoyed Sierra and Logan but
the change of make narrator wasn't as good. past characters were everpresent but they no longer had the same emotion provoking voice.
klornan is my favourite but his voice turns whiny.
it was irritating.
all in all a good series with good political intrigue and parallel life realities of the world today.
my preference was book 1 to 4, and 5 was good with an annoying heroine, 6 has history in the making to let you understand 7. so I guess if you're in, then listen to the lot.

DNF (read about 2/3 of the book)
I really enjoyed the previous books from the author in this series, but not this one.

Even nearly two thirds through the book I couldn’t care less about the main characters. They are uninteresting and hollow. I still have no idea about Coplan, about his dreams, his past or even about his character. The same goes for Savannah. She was an “influencer” - nothing more than a medium to spread propaganda. She never achieved anything in her live nor did she ever question anything about her or the live she was living. To sum it up, she was a pretty little girl doing pretty little things others told her to do and was pretty content about it.

The next thing I did not like was the fact, that the author did everything possible to NOT mention that she was brutalized and constantly raped before her rescue. This could have been a really good character development, where Savannah went from a dumb and naïve girl to a strong woman, overcoming all the different abuses she experienced in her live. But it wasn’t. She stayed dumb and naïve doing stupid things.

There whole plot so far consisted of a sequence of one misunderstanding after the other. It just circles around a poor girl being coddled by the hero. The only really good plot was about the intrigues in the politics of Lunaria. That would have made a very fine story - if only it was the backbone of this book and not a subplot. (And the generals - I know and loved from other books - would have start acting like generals and not let themselves being pushed around almost helplessly by the villain)

Love gained and love lost? Ultimate betrayal to Lunaria and Earth...

Coplan goes on this mission with the Generals and soldiers to try to save more female humans, they find one and save her from a Rutharian cave where she was starved, beaten, and raped while chained to the walls.

Back on the Avanti ship Coplan works with this female, trying to gain her trust and build a connection with her. While he does this, he finds out her name is Savannah or Savii for short, that she has a twin sister - Atlanta, where both were kidnapped from Earth at same time but not with her as she had hoped. As weeks go by with her gaining her health and self-care back.

The Healer, Coplan, and Savii ends up falling in love even though they knew they would never be together because of Idria's machinations and cruel plans involving Savii and her sister as a pawn to force her into marriage to Idria's brother to gain more power all the while betraying Lunaria and Earth in the slave trades that she also has with Rutharians with promise she becomes Queen to the new Rutharian King along with all her slaves plus the deal with Earth profits for slaves.

Now Lunaria is split between the highborn class and the lower classes that were poisoned by Idria's machinations with her Specters. I hope Idria and Queen Leije falls in this next book.

The rescue mission continues regardless of the political mess, rescue for Atlanta, Savii's sister... Will they get to her before they get caught or in time to get her out and escape the Nolightmoor prison. Find out in Book 5!

I give this 5 cups of steaming hot java, ☕☕☕☕☕. Roxie Ray doesn't disappoint!!

Your body can break, but your mind can help you survive any pain. Savannah and Atlanta were the Tremaine Twins, social influencerss. Savannah was the good woman. Atlanta was the wild child. The protestors were living life and struggling while the sisters were hawking vapid emptiness.Atlanta wanted to donate their salaries, but the Secters wouldn't allow it. Then they were kidnapped, seduced by the idea of eating pie. Savannah was held on the Rutharian base. Coplan and his crew rescued her. Healer Coplan Majari was a warrior but he chose to be a healer. He gentled down for Savi trying to let her know she was safe. Sadly, she was not the first earthling abducted. She was broken in body but not spirit. Her recovery and future survival brought her to her full potential as a woman. Her adventure with Coplan will challenger her way beyond what she had to do for the Sectors. Fantastic adventure with intrigues on top of intrigues. Good story. Great supporting characters. Hope to read their stories also. Well done! When Savannah was kidnapped from Earth, her world was drastically shaken and changed. The evil creatures tortured her so that, even after she was rescued by another group of aliens, Lunarians, she was terrified and not able to trust them. But one of them, Coplan, works with her and helps her toward recovery. He gains her confidence and trust.

Now Coplan talks about her letting go of what happened to speed her recovery so she can return home. The problem is, going home may no longer be her goal. For some reason, she doesn’t want to walk away from Coplan. On Earth, she was a popular influencer with millions of fans. The family she had been taken from she knew would be missing her. But to give up Coplan in her life might be more than she can recover from. She never had anyone look at her the way he does. How will she choose? Could Coplan possibly be her mate? Is loving him where her heart belongs?

Twins Savannah and and Atlanta are kidnapped by Alien and separated but Savii is rescued.
Twins Savannah and Atlanta were popular influencers with millions of followers but after an event they attend they are kidnapped by aliens and end up separated. Savii ends up in the hands of the Rutharians a cruel race who torture her in unspeakable way leaving her broken in body and mind by the time she is rescued by warrior from the Lunarian ship Avant Lupinia. She was kept asleep as she treated for her injuries and as she heals from the most severe but is now coming round attended by Healer Coplan Majari. He realizes that while her body is healing her minds will also need to recover is a slow process and depend on the strength of the individuals mind and spirit. He finds Savii strong will in he emaciated body attractive.

Super Story!

It seems that each book in Roxie Ray’s Lunarian Warriors series just keep getting better. This one has an intricate plot and an exciting climax.

Savannah, a young woman from Earth, is kidnapped along with her twin sister, Atlanta. Savannah, who prefers to be called Savii, winds up in a dark cell where she is raped and beaten by the Rutharian males who are her captors. She has no idea where Atlanta is. When she is rescued, the Lunarian male, Coplan, is the one who carries her out of her cell. He is a warrior turned healer on the Lunarian ship. Slowly, he earns Savii’s trust as he helps her heal both physically and mentally.

And this is where the story begins to get very interesting, but you’ll have to read it yourself because I don’t give away any spoilers. Just know that each book in the series has a background subplot that only adds to the alien/human romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it!

I love Roxie Ray. There is nothing that I have read from her that I did not like. I have to admit that I have not read this series by her, so I was shocked when I was reading this. Roxie has just the right amount of romance, dramatic suspense and aliens to keep the reader involved with baited breath until the very end. I also found that I did not need to read the stories before because at no time did I feel lost or like I was missing anything. This book is also very visual and you get the sense when reading it, that you are apart of the story. On top of all the drama a romance is inevitable when Savannah and Coplan are together. The characters were so well written and the world building is incredible. I really liked this book.

Savannah and her sister Atlanta were abducted from earth and sold to the Rutharian’s Savii was saved by the Lunarian’s and taken to their healer Coplan Majari but she didn’t trust him especially after all that she had been through but Savii’s sister Atlanta hadn’t been found. Savii found Coplan to be a caring alien he had claws on his fingers blue hair purple eyes orange skin and fangs Savii supposed that he was good looking for an alien and she slowly came to trust him and had feelings for him but Coplan had been warned about having feelings for Savii. What about Savii’s sister Atlanta is she found in this story or in the next book well your going to have to read this story to find out. I loved this story and I can’t wait to read more by this amazing author and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

So, wrong cover art. Now, it looks awesome enough to get me to read the book, so it succeeds there. However, it is NOT the male protagonist, who is supposed to be an alien with orange skin and blue hair. Yup, my whole problem is that he has the wrong colors!

Anyhoo, I liked the reversal of expectations/tropes here. The seeming contradictions. A healer that is also an accomplished warrior. A rich celebrity with no control or joy in her life.

I was less enthralled with the alien biology... Not THAT alien. And the trope of Mars Needs Women is ... Meh. But that's expected so I won't gripe too much. And giving credit, some of the ramifications and politics of having such severe gender disproportions are well-considered.

SPOILERS

This has probably been the worst book thus far. I’m not expecting epic fantasy level world building from sci-fi smut, but I do need just enough for the plot to continue to flow & be plausible. However, it seems to start deteriorating fast lay in this book. If a council of high lords/ladies are what make up their government then I don’t understand how Lady Idrina has amassed so much more power than her equals, or why she alone would be in charge of all intelligence for their planet. Also, what is the King’s role? Figurehead? Tie breaker? As of this book it seems the political unrest has come to a head, but it’s not really clear as to the why’s or how’s. Like I said, I don’t expect political intrigue from my alien smut or intense world building BUT if you ARE going to make it central to the overarching plot then you have to do a better job about it.

Savannah's Story...
by and1515

Savannah was considered to have the best of everything in life prestige notoriety and tons of fans at her finger tips but then her entire world was turn upside down and inside out.
Now she most find the courage within herself to accept the things that have happened to her and realize there's more to life if she'll let go and embrace what she could have if she does.
Coplan had seen and heard Savannah's story many times as they continued to rescue these poor women from there top enemy. He also knew he needed to tread with care or she'd be gone.
However there are those who would do anything to put and end to them and there willing and able to make it happen.

this is a brand new author for me and i enjoyed this book. it was a different spin on earth and alien abduction as well as the lunarians who were rescuing the abducted human females. the story line was well developed and well brought together with rich detail, great character descriptions and well paced to keep u reading to the end.
one thing i didn't like was that the cover shows a man nothing like the description of him in the story. this irks me because i like to look at the picture on the cover to imagine and get an idea of the look of the character and when they don't match it takes away from the story for me.
otherwise it is a story well worth reading.

Savannah is kidnapped from Earth by some evil aliens. She's rescued by Lunarians, but after being tortured she still terrified and doesn't trust the Lunarians. Coplan is helping Savannah towards recovery and finally gains her trust. Coplan has seen and heard Savannah's story time and time again as they continue to rescue more of the human woman from their enemies. Although Savannah at first wanted to go home shes would have to give up Coplan might be more than she wants to do to continue her recovery. He looks at her as if she is the most important person in his life. Is Coplan her mate? You really don't get a final HEA somewhat of a Happy for now. Will continue to read the next book in this series. I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Savannah and sister gets kidnapped by aliens. Savannah is tortured and abused and she has no idea what happened to her sister. When she is unexpectedly rescued by Lunarian warriors she does not trust them. Coplan one of the healers finally gains her trust and she starts to heal and fall in love.Just when she thinks things might work out and she is really Coplan's mate, Lady Idria shows up with an evil manipulative plane and stear Savannah into a different and unsatisfying future with no prospect of love. The story line was action packed, fast paced with many twists and surprises. Great read, highly recommended. I am excited to read the next book .

Coplan is assigned as the healer for Savannah after rescuing her from her abusive captors. Savannah was living on Earth without the knowledge that Aliens existed. She and her twin were abducted after trying to leave a social event. Coplan will try all he can help her recover from the tramatic experience while she was in captivity. Will event from Coplans plant dictate how her care is given? Will Coplan and Savannah fall for each other? Can they help Savanah find her twin sister? Definitely have to read to find out how this ends and you won't be disappointed.

Savii and her twin Atlanta are social media influencers who are kidnapped after an event by aliens. Savii is eventually rescued by the Lunarians. Copland is the healer assigned to help her heal both physically and emotionally from her ordeal.

Coplan is instructed to not fall for Savii. Previously rescued human women who have married Lunarian warriors have caused political unrest on their home planet. Will Coplan and Savannah fall for each other? Can they help Savanah find her twin sister?

This is the first book of this series that I have read and I plan to read other books in this series. You don't have to read the previous books to understand what is going on.

I couldn't put this book down!

I am addicted to this wonderful series, and this book only made me want more! There is a load of depth and story detail that is easy to lose yourself in. The characters are easy to get behind. Savii has been through a lot and Cobalt, I'm sure that's not how to spell his name, but her healer works magic with her. There are returning characters from previous stories, so that ties them all together. The storyline itself is full of intrigue and expectations and a simmering attraction. Those spectres are awfully awful and I can't see any good coming from them . I read this straight through, can hardly wait for Atlanta's story next!

This was my favorite book in the series so far. Coplan is one of the healers aboard the Lunarian ship that is rescuing human slaves. The newest human is Savannah, or Savii, who is one of twins that was abducted and delivered into sex slavery. Coplan falls in love with her while trying to help her heal from her wounds, both physical and mental. They face more obstacles due to Lunarian politics and treachery from the Lunarian secret service. This book had a lot of plot twists that I wasn’t expecting. And there are some very tender moments that actually made my cry a bit. Definitely would recommend this book.

Dark and Cruel

This 4th sequel was dark, so much rape of the victim that caused major depression, feelings of worthlessness, and confusion that I can't in all fairness rate this as a romance. Also the highest ranking female in Intel was a obsessed and devious in a silly child like manner. The sci-fi components were lacking even the basic tech such as communicators. For example, the heroes had to run just to share info with their teammates The storylines become a bit disjointed. I will finish the series but will carefully scan the reviews before engaging in using precious reading time on next books.

I have come to love Roxie Ray! She has such great detail in her books and really builds the surroundings but she also makes the relationships strong quickly and I find myself completely engulfed right away. Savii and Copland are wonderful together and there was enough suspense in this book to keep me on edge. I highly recommend this book! (If you have not read her others prior to this I would recommend those too they are all fantastic!) Cannot wait for the next installment!

Was okay

To start with Savvii for someone who has suffered so severely the sexual abuse and violence she bounced back to fast and was going after Coplan like he was piece candy and she was toddler who didn't like being told no! She begins repeatedly saying I'm not strong to the end saying I'm tired of being strong. She only stopped to think about the pain she could inflict on coplan after the fact and even then she still didn't let it stop her. She acted like a child who couldn't make up her mind. I just think the quick recovery was not right after the severe abuse .

Took much politics

I did not finish this book!!! It was way too much politics!!! The alien women from the plant were too jealous they turned a whole plant against earth women!!! Then men are trying to save earth women!!! Everyone hates earth women except the warriors!!! They keep talking about the alien women hate earth women over and over aging!!! Don't waste your time on this book

Her Healing Warrior

Excellent books they are full of humour, fun and great banter especially the things lost in translation!

From hot sex, to falling in love fast these baby daddy's Coplan and Alex a quite endearing

But don't be fooled they are tough and ruthless when needed to protect their planet and loved ones, the aliens have a moral compass

Have tried to get the 3rd book but have not been able to do far Gallix's story
