Acting The Part In Lockdown

Rate this book
Kyle Gibson was the hottest man on TV.

He had a reputation for being a playboy on set. It was said he could have any woman he wanted, and that he wanted them all.

Appearing for only one episode of the hit tv show Demons Within Us, Lisa Kay was new to the Vancouver film scene. She didn't want to be another notch on his bedpost.

Their chemistry was so steamy though, the director called cut.

As her next-door neighbor, Lisa needed to keep Kyle happy during a pandemic lockdown. After insulting him, she worried he'd have her blacklisted from acting in Vancouver.

It might take her days or weeks to win him over... but she was acting the part.

I bought this book directly from Andrea herself at a convention. I could see her passion for writing and getting her stories out there. This made me want to read one of her books. I decided on this one as it’s more of a short story and I wanted to get a feel for her writing style. It’s safe to say I love her writing style!

I’ve never been big on “Spicy” books/Stories, however, this story has changed my mind. It was not super crazy or out of this world, which I thought was nice. There was a level of realism that I appreciated.

Story wise this book is a solid 5 stars for me. It kept me captivated and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I would read a continuation of this book. Therefore it’s a 5 from me. I could not change a thing.

Grammatically it was a 4 star for me as I stumbled across a few errors. The errors to me are not a make it or break it. These things happen all the times in books and are to be expected. The errors did not take away from the story.

If you’re looking for a quick read that does not have a dull moment, then this is the book for you.

I picked up this book at a Supernatural convention from Andrea herself. Holy guacamole!! I am so impressed at the story and character building she created in such a short story. My only complaint is that it was too short 😉
