Three modern women learn the most important lesson of all: that love transcends time.

Love of a Highlander – Book 4. Maya Charles trusts no one. Having been abandoned by her parents as a child, it’s a lesson she’s learned the hard way. Now, having graduated from art college saddled with debt, she’s struggling to make ends meet. When a strange old woman gives her a cryptic message offering help, she scoffs at the idea: other people can’t be trusted, right? But when a sixteenth century warrior appears out of nowhere to save her life she might just be forced to challenge that assumption.

Destiny of a Highlander– Book 5 Breanne Martin lives in the past. At least, that’s what everyone tells her. After learning the hard way that love never lasts, she throws her energy into her job as a museum conservator, spending her time with ancient relics and artefacts. That way she can’t get hurt again, right? So when a strange old woman offers her the chance to work in one of Edinburgh’s top museums, she grabs the opportunity.

But she soon begins to learn that all is not as it seems. When she stumbles across a gorgeous stranger trying to break into the museum one night she discovers that everything she’s learned about love—and about right and wrong—might just get turned on its head.

Courage of a Highlander– Book 6 Kara Buchanan relies on nobody but herself.
As an investigative reporter, she’s driven and focused, always looking for the next story: the next corrupt corporation to expose, the next underdog to champion. But it leaves no room in her life for anything else – especially love.

So when a strange old woman gives her a cryptic clue to a story she’s been chasing for months, Kara jumps on it. Little does she know it will lead her to a fate that’s been mapped out for her since birth, an earth-shattering secret about her past, and a man who will unlock her heart.

Katy Baker was born in London to an English mother and an American father. She grew up a stone's throw from Hampstead Heath which remains one of her favourite places in the world. During her twenties she spent several years living in San Francisco where she developed an abiding love of bagels before returning to her beloved London. She lives in south London with her husband and a very grumpy bulldog.

Katy's books explore the intricacies of human relationships with plenty of spice thrown in. What would life be without a little spice?

Arch Through Time: books 4, 5, and 6

Irene MacAskill is fae and is a guardian of the highlands. She tells a person from the 21st century to follow their destiny and then tells one in the 16th century the same. They usually follow their heart at the end and stay in the past. The one I like best is when she ended getting a lady from the future that ended up being her granddaughter from many generations removed. Her destiny was intertwined with the one she was to be with. Now she is to help to be keeper of the arches through time.

I got concerned that it was getting formulaic but…

Could not put it down. There is something so refreshing in this! I love suspending disbelief and riding into the past and back again!
