Forty Day Fiancé

Rate this book
Admittedly, my first plan was a little crazy.

I had forty days to execute it. Find a fake fiancé, move in with him, and convince the powers-that-be that we’re madly in love.

Surely this British girl can sweet-talk a few American officials.

Step One: the sexy, wealthy doctor I’ve been chatting up agrees to my plan--with a demand of his own. A baby. An actual ring. A for-real marriage and family. Turns out, there’s someone more bonkers than me.

So Step Two: I now have forty days to convince my fake fiancé that we can’t be real.

Because there’s no such thing as love at first sight--right?

4 We Have A Failure To Communicate Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
Forty Day Fiancé is part of individual tales linked through the friendship these women have. We met them in Weekend Wife and one of the important themes was the inability of these gals to pick out good guys.

Yes, they had issues with the men they dated and were jerk-guy magnates. So Felicia, looking out for Samantha, pretends to be her when the guys were responding to her online profile. She was only looking out for her friend...and didn't plan on taking a liking to one of them to the point of having serious, flirty, fun emails that were coming from the real her, not Samantha.

So Felica kind of pulled a 2020 Cyrano de Bergerac, now called Catfishing.
The good news was Michael and Samantha did not click at all when they finally went out on a date. Kinda predictable because A- emails and all of the connections weren't from Samantha...DUH.. and B- She really was already in love with another.

So no harm/no foul...and Samantha referred her friend Felica to assist Michael to divest all of the high-end clothing etc. of his late wife. Michael had been married and it had been ten years now since his wife had passed from breast cancer. It was time to donate the proceeds of all the amazing things she had accrued.

And it was natural for Samantha to suggest Felicia as that was her business. She had been a model, traveled the world, and came from wealth long ago. She had none now and she needed to make her own way. She used her expertise and created this company that resold designer slightly loved items online.

Now Felicia is going to meet Michael in person...The One she kind of has a crush on. The One she shared feeling and insights she never shared not even with her girls. She goes to see him and right away she is conflicted. She doesn't want to seem like a stalker...but she also likes him and thinks he deserves the truth.

Truth is told and surprise, the results are not bad, not bad at all. In fact, both of them are clicking and there is a real attraction. Michael asks Felicia out on a real date!

Now between the date and them getting together, Felicia discovers she made a MASSIVE mistake, like life-changing. It now has her trying to figure out how to be able to stay in the States. The only way is for her to become someone's fiancé.

Michael has been wanting to have a family, it was time to see where his life was taking him. He was already established as a successful doctor, came from a very comfortable family so the only real-life goal was to have a family, even if he had to do it on his own.

These two end up making a pact but there are conditions and it will last the forty days Felicia has to figure out her visa status.

This started out very cute, smokin' sexy, and fun. It continued on that route with a couple of hiccups. The hiccups were part of the history both had... but our fella knew right away he wanted all of it to be real. He was smitten from the start. Felicia had an ugly history in romance so she wanted to see if all this chemistry was real or just lust. Both needed to communicate the feels...When they finally did, all was back on track and we were happy and satisfied.

I think this is a fun little connecting series by Ms. McCarthy. The next one coming will more than likely be Michael's brother with Felicia's friend Isla. My Guess is Enemies to Lovers, YUM.

Fake fiancé trope with a twist! This story was such fun to read! Our leads were ridiculous with the banter and chemistry! I couldn’t read fast enough! My heart was singing, my girlie parts were singing (I mean they got sexy sexy LOL) and most of all I was engaged the entire time I read. The story goes by really quick and I found myself thinking “nooooooooooooo” when it was over but only because I just loved everything about them and I wanted to read forever!

I am always up for a fabulous romcom and this one certainly fit the bill! Forty Day Fiancé is a wonderful twist on a fake romance.
Felicia Hobbs is a 30 year old woman from Britain that has been in the US on several different Visas. She has been online dating for a friend when she kind of falls for Michael. She literally has been catfishing him and then when her friend and he do not hit it off she decides to come clean! When Felicia discovers she needs a fake fiancé Michael steps up and this is where the fun begins !
Michael Kincaid is a 40 something widowed orthopedic surgeon that has been having some bad luck in the relationship department. Just when he thinks that he hits it off in online dating the face to face fizzles. He soon comes to discover that he was chatting with Felicia the entire time. Their first face to face the chemistry is off the charts. This couple has sizzle, sexual tension, fabulously funny witty banter and can wing this fake relationship off the cusp! This couple is not only so entertaining their group of friends that surround them are also a wonderful cast of characters! Get ready for a whirlwind romance with Felicia and Michael !

In Weekend Wife, Erin McCarthy introduced us to a group of characters I wanted to see more of. Thus, when Five First Dates came out, I was happy to dive into it. The same was true of Forty Day Fiancé. I was desperate for more of the characters and had high hopes for this one.

Although I enjoyed Forty Day Fiancé, I will be honest and say it’s my least favourite of the three. As this works perfectly fine as a standalone, you do not need to read the other books to enjoy this one. However, having read them, I found myself comparing them and found this one wasn’t as funny. There was some humour in it, the story certainly had me hooked, but it didn’t quite wow me in the way I had hoped it would.

Despite this, I was hooked and devoured this in no time. It’s a fun read and I loved getting to see more of the characters, and I’ve been left with high hopes of whose story is to come next. I’m certainly eager for more, and will be diving right in.

All in all, another addictive read from Erin McCarthy.

I liked this one. It was sexy and cute, albeit a touch too predictable. But the chemistry between Felicia and Michael was delicious, and so were their moments (apart from the d*ddy kink one, WHYYY).

I'm really curious about a potential Isla's and Sean's book now!

Content warning: daddy kink (very brief)

3.5 stars—FORTY DAY FIANCE is the third instalment in Erin McCarthy’s contemporary, adult, rom-com series focusing on a group of friends in New York. This is former British fashion model and vintage clothing reseller Felicia Hobbs, and physician/widower Dr. Michael Kincaid. FORTY DAY FIANCE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Felicia and Michael) FORTY DAY FIANCE follows the fake fiance relationship between former British fashion model and vintage clothing reseller Felicia Hobbs, and physician/widower Dr. Michael Kincaid. Felicia Hobbs’ latest assignment brings her face to face with Dr. Michael Kincaid, a man whose wife died ten years earlier but a man who is just now clearing out his late wife’s closets. The attraction between Felicia and Michael is immediate as our couple are quick to find themselves falling in bed but Felicia’s happiness soon plummets when she is notified that her visa has expired and she is to be deported back to the UK. With only forty days to make her case, Michael makes Felicia an offer she cannot refuse. What ensues is the building relationship and romance between Michael and Felicia, as our couple take their fake engagement public in an effort to learn more about one another and themselves.

Dr. Michael Kincaid wants it all: a wife, a family, and love, and falling for Felicia was easier than he could ever have imagined but all does not go according to plan when Felicia walks away within days of the deportation deadline. Felicia Hobbs does not want to return to the UK but the likelihood of getting her visa renewed is slim to none as our heroine has applied several times to extend her time in America.

The relationship between Felicia and Michael is one of immediate attraction; a palpable sexual chemistry upon which they immediately react but Felicia never expected a proposal from the man with whom she will fall in love. Felicia struggles with issues of trust and in this her attitude was often immature including her decision to run when the going got tough. Misunderstanding and miscommunication including some well intentioned but interfering comments from family and friends pushes at our couple’s future plans. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and sex but saying that I struggled with the heroine’s need to call Michael ‘daddy’ during $ex-one of my romance trope pet peeves.

Felicia’s friends and previous story line couples return as secondary and supporting characters: Grant and Leah (Weekend Wife) and Maddox and Savannah (Five First Dates), and their friend Isla. We are introduced to Michael’s brother Sean, and his mother Gloria.

FORTY DAY FIANCE is a cute story with a flirty and fun couple; a fake fiance / older man, younger woman trope wherein our couple has forty days to find happiness and love with one another. The premise is entertaining; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic and dynamic.

5 Star Review of Forty Day Fiancee by Erin McCarthy

Erin McCarthy is a relatively new author to me and I have no idea why that is. Forty Day Fiancee was an entertaining read that drew me in and kept me riveted from the first to the last chapter. This was a story with plenty of heart and soul, with secondary characters that were just as fun as Felicia Hobbs and Dr. Michael Kincaid.

This was such an intriguing story that ticked all the boxes for me. The characters were easy to relate to and I found myself totally invested in the story of two people who have forty days to decide if what they have is real and have a future together.

The chemistry between Felicia and Michael was intense and as their attraction grows, so does the heat. This was a romantic, steamy, funny book and is a little gem which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The only reason why I decided to pick this up was because the title. This quarantine, I was obsessed with 90 Day Fiancée, it was so dramatic and funny.

This book though, was definitely funny. Something about this couple reminded me a lot of your typical romance novel side characters. You got this responsible older, almost-preppy-doctor hero (that our typical heroine would never choose over her bad boy/MC guy/mafia member/vampire/werewolf hero) and an unapologetic fashion-lover, high-maintenance, ex-model British heroine (that our typical heroine would silently judged, feeling insecure and kept comparing herself to). Somehow, someway, I feel glad that I got this couple story. It was definitely refreshing.

Accidentally catfishing a hot doctor isn't exactly a nice thing to do, even if it's by accident. However, in Felicia's case, it nets her said hot doctor, and he's just the man to ask for a teeny favor - be her fake fiancé so she can stay in the US now that her temporary visa is expiring. But there's a catch because Michael wants a baby, the old-fashioned way! I think we can all see where this is going...

But the journey to get there is fun and witty and sexy and I fell in love with these two, especially Michael. This series is a lot of fun and now that I've read (and loved) the first two, I cannot wait for the third.

I loved this book so much!! This new series by Erin is addicting I want all the girls to have story’s!! I want all the boys friends to enter this world. I just don’t want it to end.
Cynical Felicia Hobbs who has no time for love just working her business has finally found someone she clicked with only one problem... he thinks she Savannah and well that didn’t work out to well when Savannah had a date with Michale.
How can she try to get him to see her and not think she’s a nutter? Turns out it’s easier than she thought to bad her crazy plan to get a fake fiancé turns a litter crazier than she expected. He wants stipulations of his own.
This book was so good I love Felicia she’s funny and crazy and a fierce main character. She wants her own way she wants to make her own fortune she has no desire to cash in on her wealthy doc fake finance. I loved all the books so far and look forward to more but I think Felicia is the best one so far.
Michale is awesome he has a plan and refuses to budge he wants a family so bad he can taste it. He wants love and he is willing to bend to meet her needs.
This was a sweet funny and addictive story. I wish it was longer of course but with the other two Leah and Savanna shows up in this one so you get to see what is going on in their lives. I can’t wait for the next one!!

4.5 Stars for Forty Day Fiancé
This is one of those books that you fall in love with right from the first page, the characters are adorable, the banter is witty and the chemistry is smoking hot. This is Felicia Hobbs and Dr Michael Kincaid’s story but what makes this book special is every character in this book is fun and entertaining, it’s not just the hero and the heroine that made this a great read is the whole bundle.
Forty days to decide if you are with the right person doesn’t seem long but that’s all this couple have and they need to decide their fate in that time......
This is a fun, entertaining, romantic read that will make you laugh and I highly recommend you one click this gem you won’t be disappointed.

Felicia finds herself in a bit of a pickle when she forgets to renew her visa, and needs a fake fiancé, which is where Michael comes into the picture, however, he has his own stipulations. This is a beautifully written tale which is fun, entertaining, and has witty banter which lead to an all-round humorous and addictive page turner. I was hooked from the beginning and this talented author had done an amazing job in penning this story, which I recommend for all readers.

McCarthy does it again. With sassy wit and irresistible charm, she gives readers what they want. Forty Day Fiance' is a laugh out loud, can't help but fall in love, kind of read. Felicia is one step away from finding her happy ending with the man of her dreams. Except he doesn't know it yet. What began as a curiosity becomes a disaster in the making. McCarthy proves she knows her readers by heart and continues to give them a reason to smile.

This series has been fun and a reliable cute and steamy romance read. Each book has featured a different girl from a friend group and her own romance. Felicia does a little catfishing of Michael at the beginning of the story, she set up an online profile for her friend Savannah and was meant to chat with potential dates as Savannah....until her and Michael had an online connection and Felicia was chatting with him as herself but under her friends profile. The two end meet up and Felicia comes clean immediately and they decide to give dating a whirl. Their chemistry was electric and full of passion right away. After a night together, Felicia goes back home and finds out her work visa to live in NY is up and she’s going to be sent back to England....unless she marries to stay in the states. It just so happens that Michael is sick of the dating scene and just wants a wife to come home to each night and to start a family. So he offers to be her fake fiancé if she’ll promise to spend the 40 days dating him with the potential of a real marriage and baby after. This was short, predictable but fun and steamy.

A funny and quirky read, starting with Felicia Catfishing Michael. Their first actual meeting was to be a business meeting turned heated and freaking hysterical. Love comes in when you least expect it. For Felicia and Michael it was more than just a meet cute, they were a matched perfectly in the dating app. The forty days for me was just to confirm the connection they had already made. The fun they had compromising through out their time. The things he never thought were important that he now felt fit what he wanted.
This story was steamy fun and totally believable, the Brit and her New Yorker were a match made in heaven. I believe they balance each other out, from her smudging the ghost of his ex out of their lives and his serious and conservative side. A fun read that was very refreshing as we are all stuck in our houses worried about when we will be able to travel. For Felicia her worrying about be able to stay although not the same gave her the same anxieties that I am feeling now. A 8 star read and a great addition to my library!

Felicia’s attempts to help out her friend by conversing with a man on a dating have backfired as her friend has no chemistry with her prospective date but Felicia sure does. Michael is a widower who was conversing with a woman he was drawn to but when he met her the spark was gone and he is about to find out that the woman he was conversing with is not the woman who is his date.

Once all the truths are revealed and he realizes that Felicia needs a fake fiancé to stay in the country he is the man for the job. They have forty days to decide if they are destined to be a fling or forever. Let the games begin!

Fun and flirty it was great to not only see the relationship between Felicia and Michael evolve but to catch up with the other characters we know and love.

This was a quick fun read. It was enjoyable, entertaining, and has witty banter that keeps you turning the pages over.

But I kind of get a weird vibe on Michael. It feels like he’s a bit wishy washy about things, it was kind of hard to like him at first. He thought he’s doing things to make her stay with him, but he’s keeping things from her, for example his feelings for her and about his ex-wife. But you can feel their attraction and chemistry even though it started as a fake engagement at first.

3.75 stars. Quickie review: This was cute! Michael was swoony in the way he adored Felecia. The book was pretty low heat after the beginning. We never get to truly see them both all in, as they both held back until the end. I wanted a bit more resolution and a further ahead epilogue in the end, but it was a cute story and I did enjoy it.

I skipped a book, I admit because reading summaries, this one interested me most at the time and I really liked the first one in the series. But it disappointed me majorly.

I expected more fun and sexiness in a story about a fake engagement, more teasing and things like inside jokes and creative ways to make the lie more believable. Instead, I got Rebecca and not in a good, psychological thriller kind of way.

Since "Rebecca" was mentioned and I found out a little more about the hero's first wife (deceased), I saw the heroine more and more as Becca (here not Rebecca). It was funny and charming at first, the way they met and why, and their attraction... but then it was just rejecting me chapter by chapter.

Felicia was not someone I think any normal man would tolerate, the more want to marry and spend the rest of his life with. I can understand stress and I can understand fear at being caught in a lie that can potentially get one into jail. But not her behaviour. Selfish, manipulative, material is what was the final description of Michael's deceased wife (adding a kitchen island, of course - ) but more and more it fit Felicia. At one point, I just thought she was crazy and Dr. Hotty would be better off running away.

What first put me off about her was her way of thinking, of planning her future relationship in the way of feelings. "I won't tell him I love him until he tells it first" is basically word for word what she decided. And it wasn't the funny "you say it first", "no, you say it first". It was just nasty, snapping at him and controlling almost everything, bottling up her own feelings while waiting for him to give everything to her so she could then decide if she wants it? Awful quality. Sure, she was hurt in the past but what was it she said? "You can’t judge a man by another man’s misdeeds." And then she proceeded to accuse him of doing extreme and creepy things (well, the condom thing) just because he wanted a family that she too wanted.

Michael was awesome, there really wasn't a flaw to find in him except for his obvious poor taste in women - past and present. I can definitely appreciate a man who wants a family and not screw randoms for as long as he's able to keep "it" up (wink wink). Felicia was a hurricane of crazy and immature, wanting this and that but refusing to give as much as she was taking. The 3 stars are generous thanks to the doctor and my favorite part was the end because it was the end and because I liked the interview and the interviewer much better than I ever liked Felicia.

After reading the previous two standalones by Erin McCarthy, and really loving them, I knew ‘Forty Days Fiancé’ was a book I wanted to read. So when I got approved to read an ARC I was super excited and started reading as soon as possible.

In ‘Forty Days fiancé’ we meet Felicia Hobbs, a hardworking British woman who quit dating a while ago. Felicia is known for working her butt off.. so it isn’t really a surprise to find out she got so busy, she forgot to post the mail regarding her US work visa. And now she is to late and receives a mail telling her she will need to leave the country in forty days. When she meets the handsome, slightly older doctor Michael Kincaid she feels an instant connection with him. But now she has to leave the country.. or can she stay?

After reading the first two books, and loving them, I was really looking forward to reading this book. And I wasn’t disappointed. ‘Forty Days fiancé’ is right from the start a very funny, relaxing and romantic read. I enjoyed reading it from the moment I started, until the very end. Both main characters Felicia and Michael are fun to read about. They are very different, have two very different lives.. but somehow they have this connection right from the start. And I loved them.

There where several moments throughout this book that made me laugh out loud. And just as with the two previous books, I really enjoyed those moments between Felicia and her girlfriends too. Felicia is the third girl we get to read about in this group of friends, and although I don’t think she would be someone I would be friends with in real life.. I loved reading her story.

The romance between Felicia and Michael was definitely fun. It was rather instant, and I found certain parts about their story a little to fast. Especially near the end of the book I just felt like things where a little rushed and I would have liked to see their romance a little more developed.

But overall this book was yet another great one I really enjoyed reading. Erin McCarthy’s novels are definitely great ones to get lost in after a busy workday.

This book is about Felicia, who Is facing deportation, and Michael, a widower who is looking for someone with whom to have a life and family. They meet after Felicia “catfished” him while looking for someone to date her friend. She got carried away and enjoyed exchanging email, developing a connection. She arranges an appointment with Michael and confesses everything. Michael decided to overlook their strange introduction and they explore their amazing chemistry. When Felicia tells him the news that she is being deported, he volunteers a fake/real engagement. He would step forward as her fiancé so that she can apply for a fiancé visa, and she agrees to move in with him for the forty days until she is deported for “immersion dating.” The agreement is that she would consider the possibility of marrying him and have children together.

What follows is the journey to their Happily Ever After, complicated by miscommunication and immigration law. This was an easy book to read. It was the sometimes funny and sometimes emotional journey to love. The characters are likable, have depth, and many are familiar from previous books in this series. While having read the previous titles gives one more understanding of the relationships between the main and supporting characters, the book could easily be read as a stand-alone title. The ending of the story can be predicted from the very beginning, but it is fun to travel the main characters path. I loved the crazy predicament the heroine finds herself in, especially when she forgets her tablet at Michael’s home and then started a graphic texting session with her best friends about her interest in him, which is all synced with the tablet, allowing Michael to read how interested she was in a sexual encounter. I recommend that you read the book for yourself and laugh out loud!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Felicia is a character we met in the previous book in this series when she was setting up her friend with man who she was talking to online; as her friend. The only problem: she fell for Michael. When she later finds out that he wants to sell clothes on her website, she immediately confesses to catfishing him, which I was grateful for. Michael could have gotten really upset about it, but he took it in stride and asked her to go out with him, to see if the connection online was still there.
When she accidentally leaves her tablet at his place he realizes he isn't the only one feeling the attraction. When she realizes that her visa is almost up, and the only way to stay in the country is to be engaged or married, she believes her time in the states is over. She doesn't want to bring it up to Michael because she doesn't want him to feel forced into a relationship with her. However, when he finally gets to the reason for her mood, he surprises her by suggesting they get engaged, and she move in with him.
I really liked the connection these characters had. Even though there was an age difference, they didn't let the years separate them. In fact, I think the fact that Michael was older than Felicia and knew what he wanted, and that was her, was wonderful. The agreement they made to reevaluate their relationship after forty days made sense, but I wish communication would have been better once they realized they had feelings for each other. There were times that Felicia got on my nerves. She would jump to the wrong conclusion and act really immature at times. Overall, this was a really good book and I can't wait to get Isla's book.

Felicia and Michael meet under strange circumstances. She catfishes him but not on purpose. She was helping out her friend find a date and was screening them on a dating app. However her friend never had a connection with him but she did through their text messages and flirting.

Felicia ends up meeting Michael to help him sell his late wife's clothes and she can't keep it to herself that it was her she was talking to. She was a little bit in love with him from just their text messages. Michael has an instant attraction to her and takes everything she reveals in stride.

Felicia has let her visa almost expire, she has to either find someone to get engaged to, leave to go back to London, or stay illegally in the States. Then Michael suggests they get married and try to be a couple for forty days and see where their relationship goes since they have such a strong connection.

Michael and Felicia also find themselves in a bit of a predicament and it really puts a crimp into their plans of taking things slow and one day at a time.

They both have issues with revealing their feelings and actually saying them out loud. Will it be too late for them if they don't reveal their feelings before the forty days are over? Will Felicia get to stay state side or have to return to the UK? Did Michael find his true love?

I really loved this book! I had to go and get the other two that are out and catch up on the other stories. You can read these alone or part of the series. Super great read!!

What a fun read!

While this is a stand-alone, it's also part of a series and there needs to be a bit of a summary from the book prior to this one:

When Felicia tries to set her friend Savannah up on a date using a dating app in Five First Dates, she ends up taking to Michael, a widowed doctor who is looking for a permanent relationship. She completely catfishes him, and when he ends up going on a date with Savannah IRL, the sparks weren't there.

While she's pretending to be her friend, she's actually becoming attached to the doctor.
Fast forward to the start of this novel. Felicia is now standing in the living room of Dr. Michael Kincaid, who has contacted her to clean out his the closet full of designer items leftover from his widow. While they're exchanging pleasantries, she blurts out that it was her on the dating app, he confesses that he was really attracted to the person he was talking to, and the two of them nearly combust from the sexual tension in the room.

They agree to keep it professional, until Felicia gets home and realizes that her temporary work visa is not only expiring, it's not going to be renewed and she needs to head back to London or find herself a husband to stay here forever.

See where this is going? You guessed it. While Felicia needs a fiance visa, Michael sees a way to keep her here, and in his life, permanently.

This was probably my favorite in this series! Brief appearances from Savannah, Leah, and Dakota. I can only assume Dakota's story is next in line!

I totally enjoyed Felicia and Michael in Forty Day Fiancé: A Fake Fiancé Romantic Comedy by Erin McCarthy. British girl Felicia was in a bind. Somehow she forgot to renew her visa so she could continue to stay and work in New York City. Now, she had forty days to find a fake fiancé, move in with him, and convince the powers that be that they were totally in love. She had been talking with a sexy, wealthy, widowed doctor, who agrees to her plan. However, Michael has demands of his own; a baby, a ring, and a for-real marriage. Could it be that these two were actual made for each other? Felicia is afraid to fall in love with Michael, as she had been burned and lied to in the past. Felicia and Michael have off the charts chemistry and fit together like puzzle pieces. Unlike Michael, Felicia doesn’t believe that love at first sight really exists. Yet, as these two burn up the sheets with their amazing connection, they discover they really care about each other. When an unexpected complication arises, Felicia needs to figure out how to not mess up this relationship and figure out if staying with Michael will convince the authorizes.

Ms. McCarthy wrote a wonderful, funny and smexy story that should not be missed. She provided a tale full of sexual chemistry, humor, and endearing characters giving Felicia and Michael a happy ever after future together. I highly recommend Forty Day Fiancé to other readers.

If you enjoy a good, flirty rom com then Forty Day Fiance is the book for you! Felicia Hobbs set up a dating profile for one of her friends (in Five First Dates) and instead of letting her friend get to know the man she chose for her online, she became very interested in him but thought that after he went on one date with her friend Savannah and they fizzled out that would be the end of it. Much to her surprise her online guy, Dr. Michael Kincaid contacted her regarding the sale of items belonging to his late wife. Felicia knows that she has to come clean about her subterfuge when she goes to price his items. Instead of being annoyed Michael is enchanted with Felicia. They got to know each other well through cyber-space and there is a physical attraction that cannot be denied! Forty Day Fiance is a warp speed romance because Felicia has forgotten to renew her visa and must return to England unless she can prove to the courts that there is a legitimate reason for her to stay in the U.S. Michael knows what he wants and he feels that Felicia is everything that he wants and now he has 40 days to convince her that he is everything that she wants as well. I really enjoyed this story so much and if you haven't read the other two books it isn't necessary but I do recommend those as well because they were equally as good. Forty Day Fiance was told from dual POV and it starts out steamy but it follows up with a lot of heart.

Felicia is a former model and now works selling vintage clothes for wealthy people. She meets Michael through a dating app that she was trying to help her friend find a better man to date. However she forgets her plans and starts telling him facts about herself instead of her friend. Then when her friend and Michael meet they don't have the connection they had online and the spark is gone. When Felicia shows up to help him sell his deceased wife's vintage clothes she blurts out that she didn't mean to catfish him. Michael is stunned to learn that the beautiful woman in front of him is the one he was talking to online. So he decides to give her a chance and they start seeing each other. Felicia forgets to mail in an extension for her work visa and she ends up with paperwork about her being possibly deported. She talks to Michael about it just letting him know what's going on in her life and he suggests that they get engaged. He says to help her and to see if they can be something real with the connection they have. Will Felicia accept Michael suggestion? Can they make something more when they have such little time together?

This is an amazing story that will have you laughing out loud at parts of it. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I can't wait to read more by this author. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

In book one of this series we meet Savannah. Her 4 best friends set her up on blind dates. On one of those dates she meets Michael Kincaid. He “met” Savannah on a dating web site. They spoke and flirted for about two weeks before they met. The attraction he thought they had fell flat in person.

Fast forward a short few weeks later and Felicia Hobbs (the online date Michael fell for but didn’t know) gets in touch with Michael as he is interested is selling his dead wife’s expensive clothing collection. Felicia’s specialty.

All too honest Felicia tells Michael right away that she was the one he flirted with online, not Savannah. Her intention was to vet the date for her friend. Michael found her to be sweet and sexy and was more than interested. The physical attraction was instant.

Michael and Felicia quickly give into their attraction and then she’s blindsided by a letter from immigration saying her Visa is up and she needs to return to England.

Michael realizes he’s is half in love already and offers to marry Felicia to help keep her in the country. So the 40 day fake fiancé begins. Felicia and Michael need to make this engagement appear real so they go to the extreme of a fake engagement party and fake photos in the park.

Such a great book. I love the chemistry these two have. Awaiting the next book in the series.
