I don't usually like memoirs

I read this book with my wife and mother-in-law. It was not one that I would have chosen. However, I surprisingly enjoyed it. It is the story of Pat Robertson, the founder and president of the Christian Broadcast Network and host of the 700 Club television show. It told of his early life as the son of U S Senator. It talked about the struggles he had as a young family man and entrepreneur attempting to get his fledgling TV ministry launched. He eventually became recognized as a international celebrity and influencer. He even made a very competitive bid to become President of the United States. (My, how the country has changed!) If you are familiar with 700 Club or have heard news reports about Pat Robertson, this will give you an interesting look into his life from his unique perspective.

A very well pieced together bit of stories in the life of Pat Robertson that are recounted much as your own elderly Granddaddy might recall stories of his life .Each step leading to his faith in Christ and finding his works partner in DeeDee leads the way to the brainstorms and bold steps that Pat undertook to create the The 700 club/ CBN conglomerate .Faith and dependence on the Lord are exhibited throughout the book.this feels like a glancing overview of many dramatic moments that get mentioned but not greatly delved into deeply. I wanted more feelings, more personal thoughts ,more family interactions, more horse talk. Overall , this is a very good book that leaves me still wanting to know the author.41/2 stars rounded up.

I watch The 700 Club daily and am amazed at the 90-year-old Pat Robertson--what he's accomplished for the Kingdom of God and how he shows up almost daily to anchor the show despite his age. So I was interested in reading more about his life story and this memoir does not disappoint. There are many intriguing stories herein from Pat's early life, school years, his marriage, family life, business dealings, and his calling to start a Christian television station.

Call Pat many things, but don't call him a televangelist--to him, that's a dirty word (thanks to some unsavory figures who rode his coattails into TV speaking a Christian message while luxuriating in sin and excess.) Not so Pat Robertson. This man talks the talk and he walks the walk.

Very inspiring. And may I just say, Pat, you old dog, you. There's some juicy parts in here too so don't think it's just a snooze during a sermon. It's not that at all.

This is the story of Pat Robertson and his walk with God. I love how he prayed and listened to God speaking to him through his spirit, and the word. All that he has accomplished for the kingdom. How God rewarded him for being a just and loyal servant. He tells of the starting of the 700 Club, and Regent University. How he went to other countries and met with leaders to bring help and the gospel to the people. He also gives his political views and tells of his experiences meeting with President Regan, Carter, Kennedy and Clinton.
He also ran for public office. He started with one radio station in Virginia and now they are in many countries over the world.
I enjoyed this book and as I read it, I can see and reflect where God has brought me. Thank you Pat for writing this book ! I also must say that the 700 club has brought me peace through prayer and your miracle stories in dark times.

Pat Robertson’s book, “I have walked with the living God “ is a treasure. There are many layers that many adults will identify, whether personally or through history or news. Pat’s stories are rich with depth, and learning life lessons. Because of his faith, the Lord has given Pat a rich life, meeting with many Presidents, inspirational and leaders around the world. I can see easily see myself reading it a second time around - it’s that good!

Excellent, Inspiration and Interesting

This book was very interesting learning how Mr. Robertson talked to God about all things and Inspiring on how he waited for an answer from God. It certainly leaves one with ideas on improving one's journey with the Lord. Thank you Mr. Robertson, may God bless you with 30 new chapters (years)!

Good read

Remarkable life of a man yielded to do the will of God. He has left us a lasting legacy that will bless future generations. I appreciate that for all of his great accomplishments, Pat remained humble and always gave the glory to God. His teachings have been a blessing to me for many years.

a very inspiring book

Pat reveals his relationship with God and how he has followed His instructions resulting in a life of miraculous accomplishments for His glory. He writes about how he felt about taking risks and how others reacted to seemingly arbitrary and unwise decisions. This was a real faith-builder for me!

Great book

It was wonderful reading from such a great spiritual giant and state man. A lot to digest and to remember. The book is long but it is worth it
