Tainton’s pros for pros books are the best for construction techniques. This is no exception. If you’re thinking of doing concrete work, you will learn something from this book. It’s not entirely systematic, but there is lots to learn from the smattering of articles.

Straightforward read. They tell you what you need to know without too much industry lingo.

Gave me a much better sense of what my house looked like underground, the components in the assembly, and how the structure functioned as a whole. Very useful book that helped me ask better questions and create better plans.

Just the right book for a retrofit project I had. This edition had key info not present in the earlier editions.
