Kelly is my hero. She’s a savvy businesswoman, a walking encyclopedia about freelancing, and a very to-the-point writer. “Start Freelancing Today” is full of big picture guides and nuggets of information that will be invaluable for anyone starting to freelance. I have been doing more contract work recently, and will immediately implement multiple suggestions that she laid out in this book.

This ebook is a pure gold mine! It's well written, straight to the point and provides very helpful examples. It is packed with so much insight and good tips. Vaughn is a wise and incredible entrepreneur and it shows in this book. It's just insane, it's page after page of really good advices, tips and tricks about the trade of freelancing up to the scaling into an enteprise. Before reading this book, I've felt like entrepreneurship isn't something for me since I couldn't come up with a product to market. It made me realise that my knowledge is a product that can sell very well and that I can transition into a business model easily. The book is really inspirational and I couldn't agree more with the author as I was reading the book. It hugely inspired me and had a big impact on my thought process about being my own boss. I will make sure to recommend this book to anyone looking for the same kind of journey.

I’ve been in the freelance game for a long time, and I still learned so much from this book. It’s clear, concise, and brilliantly laid out.

Kelly is the real deal and an absolute role model to freelancers everywhere. Give this book a read. I promise it will not disappoint.

This was helpful, very to the point book. No time is wasted in fluff or bluff.

There are some great points Kelly makes, and I think overall it's the best introduction to freelancing I've read. However, I wish it would've dived deeper into some more complicated subjects such as acquiring new clients.

It surfaces a lot of topics but doesn't dive super deep into any of them, which I think it's fine due to the demographic the book aims to. I still got some valuable lessons from it and reaffirmed some other things I've read (such as good vs bad clients).

I particularly liked how candid the author was with regard to building her own business and talking about real numbers. Probably my favorite part of the book.

This is an amazing book! As someone who had never really considered freelancing, this book serves as a great guide as to what I should do if I ever did. The language is clear, concise, and to the point, making it easy to digest the wide range of topics covered in this book. I never thought of myself as someone who could start my own business, but this book provides such clear and actionable advice that I feel like I'd know how to start today!

Was so happy to find Kelly and this book through Twitter. Her straightforward, action-oriented advice make this both an easy read and a practical one. The book is relatively short, which is helpful if you’re looking to dig in to a lot of useful overview information fast. As a new freelancer, this was a great starting point for thinking about some of the parts of my new work life that I hadn’t previously considered!

Managing interns this summer and considering freelancing next summer. This book was the perfect introduction to all the frequent activities of a freelancer and practical advise. It was just the right length and I’ll definitely read it again! I really appreciated the perspective of another woman in tech. The author, who I discovered though the Ladybug Podcast, avoided all dogmatism which I’m learning is rampant in the business section.

Very disappointed with this book. I got nothing new from this book. I was expecting more real-world examples and explanations. All I found was more like a series of articles for beginners which can be found on the internet for free.

Incredible ideas from Kelly on this.

I used to think freelancing is a no brainer until I red the book.

This explains all parts of freelancing just to the point. One can explore something for more detail if needs to but this book is enough to get started.
