Her Alpha Bear Protector
For centuries, High Alphas had guided and protected all Shifter species. I am one of four destined to take the role of High Alpha in the future.
My three cousins were far away, training, living, and preparing. They knew that, in the end, we would face the world together, protecting the peace and prosperity of our species. Our mothers were warriors and legends, the High Alpha’s who defeated one of the evilest Dark Magic Predators in history.
But after twenty-five years of peace, the darkness was pushing back. My life had been spent training, growing, fighting with the Musabe Mukwa, and my fellow Grizzly Shifters. My mind was focused on defeating my own self-doubt, not a growing rebellion of Dark Magic.
My trainer told me over and over that strength of mind was just as important as the body. He told me to make peace with my rival, Yona, a man that I wanted to loathe, but my heart screamed something else. I never thought peace would end, but it did, and it ended where my story began.
From the dark shadows, the rebels gathered. They planned and prayed to an entity we only knew as The Great One. As the evils crept further toward me, the realization was made that my fight of darkness against light may determine the future of all Shifters.

Darkness has begun to rear its ugly head again in the fifth book of the Elemental shifters. This time though, instead of the High Alpha sisters being the ones responsible to fight and save the world, it is up to their daughters. The first book of the new generation revolves around Nita, the daughter of the Earth High Alpha. The older generation of women each had three mates but it looks like the cousins will only get one if the rest of the women are like Nita.
Nita has been training her entire life to fight even though there has been peace in the land her entire life. She has always felt she can only rely on herself but to defeat the evil she will need to face, she will have to learn to be part of a team and trust them to have her back. Her transition mentally and emotionally is a bit of an awakening for her which was helped along with her recognizing her fated mate. Being with one's fated mate is the catalyst to opening up and strengthening the future High Alpha's powers which are needed when they finally fight the dark shifters. It's quite the battle which will keep you on edge until the battle is finished. As each cousin's journey is revealed in future books and they all come together in the end, you know there will be an epic battle ahead. Until then, Nita and her team will continue to prepare.

Nita has been in training since she was little, as being a daughter to one of the four High Alpha's, she needed training to be at the top. Yona was there the same amount time, where as they once played and trained together Nita decided she didn't want that and pushed Yona away all the time. That was until the day that they kissed and a growing sensation grew inside of where she didn't want to leave him. But being very stubborn she fault it as long as she could, until the time came and she no longer fought it. With Yona beside her, her powers were growing and she was learning more about herself. One day the had to fight the darkness and Nita was taken from the group. She didn't eat or drink, the collar around her neck prevented her from her powers and her bear. Finally after all the time she was Martelle the dragon he vanished and Yona took her back home. This is just the beginning of the darkness, I cant wait for the next in the series and all cousins fighting together.

Nita is destined to be a High Alpha just like her mother. Her mother, fathers and aunts fought a war against the dark shifters twenty-five years ago and have enjoyed peace since then. But the dark shifters are rising again threatening peace..

I absolutely loved this book! The story of Nita, the daughter of High Alpha Althea, is filled with great characters and a journey of love, strife and encroaching darkness. Nita is training as an assassin and trying to beat Yona, a male bear shifter who will be Alpha of his clan. An attack on their village will push them together and to the truth, that they are mates. They will need each other and their team to fight the encroaching darkness that has plans to bring back The Great One. It will take all of Nita's strength to fight against the darkness and return to the path that fate has set for her along side of her mate, Yona.

We pick the story up with the children of the the three sisters who had to find their fated mates and and fulfill their destinies. We have a lot of emotions and learning how to except them. Althea one of the high alphas had Nita and set her to train to become a powerful high alpha. Yona has always been her friend, but something changed and Nita pulled away. Will she ever open up to him? Can he ever figure her out? What is this darkness that she feels? Will she let Yona in to help her? What will her mother think?

Her Alpha Bear Protector by Lark Sterling and Meg Ripley is a great read. engaging,suspenseful,exciting with enough steam.a shifter romance story of Yona and Nita that will put you on edge while reading.. its nice to see some of the characters of Shifter of the Elements and now, their offsprings is the one whose going head to head with the dark shifter,very interesting,cant wait for Samara's turn.. well done!

This is the first book of the next generation High Alphas. There has been peace for over 25 years and the cousins are preparing for becoming the High Alphas. This is Nita's story. She is a Grizzly Bear Shifter and has been training since she was five years old. Darkness has begun to enter back into the world and then Nita is kidnapped. Will she find her fated mate? What powers will she get and will she survive the darkness? I really loved reading this action packed, fast paced book and can't wait for the next one. Thank you. This is the fifth book in this series. It also the first book revolving around the next generation as it is set twenty-five years after book four. Nita is the daughter of Althea from book one. I really enjoyed this addition to the series. I do suggest reading the series in order.

Nita knows that someday she will be a High Alpha like her mother and grandmother. When a terrible evil comes to the bear clan, she realizes she will need to step up with the other young warriors to save everyone. A wonderful romance full of action and love. Not what I expected but it was a great read

I have to say this book was a little slow to start but once you get to chapter 6 it is a great book and fast reading moving forward. The Characters were well rounded and the rest of the book flowed nicely. I look forward to the next book.

What an excellent book! The characters are strong and the storyline intriguing. This is a series that just keeps getting better. Yona and Nita are strong characters that really keep the story moving. I almost cried! Excited for the next adventure to begin!

I liked that this story was the next generation of High Alphas and their stories of fighting the darkness and finding their mates. I liked how strong Nita was and that she already knew Yona. This story had my attention from start to finish and I enjoyed reading it. I can't wait for more books to come.

This is a very good, well written, shifter, action, romance fantasy. It is the first of a new series about the next generation of High Alphas. It can stand alone but if you read the first four Shifters of the Elements, you will have a better understanding of the story.

Loved this book. Nita is training to become a powerful alpha bear leader like her mom but she doesn't like needing help, yona is also in training and his fated to nita but she fights it. Can they come togather to save their families of bears and shifters?

I like the alpha who takes his responsibilities seriously. Even more so when he defends his mate. The heroine appears to be more than usual. This is is a well written and developed book with great characters. I recommend reading this book.

This is a great read. suspenseful engaging and exciting. This is the next generation of leaders. if you read the first series which was menage this seems to be a single mate per alpha but we will see.

I wonder if Nita felt strange. Her mother has multiple fated fates. So do her aunts and grandmother, yet she only has one, Yona. Maybe her subconscious is aware and therefore her insecurity at the beginning?
