Blues from Bhimnagar

Rate this book
Blues from Bhimnagar is an English poetry collection by Yogesh Maitreya. As the name of the book suggests, the location of these poems from which they emerge has a Dalit history behind it.

These poems, on one hand, will replace your taste of reading poetry in India, and on the other hand, will completley change your idea behind how literature should be and how it had been in Indian caste society. After reading them, something in you will certainly change, forever.

Handsome Bodhisattva 👌

Small poems with big differences
Beautifully conveys the meaning without any doubt
Dalit literature vividly shows this country is a den of contradictions
Nothing is constant except change, anticaste movement also needs to grow and change with all the respect and assimilation of previous literature and thought process towards the goal of annihilation of caste & Prabuddha Bharat

all i can say is, read. and all i can be, is the quote, to deliver the message for it to be read:

My words, your book
My eyes, your look
My pain on your stage
My story in your rage

So far, this has been the case,

Now, my words, my book
My eyes, my look
My pain burns your stage
My story breaks this cage
