Deany Ray has always wanted to be a writer so she decided to take the plunge and dive into it. She loves writing cozy mysteries, as this is what she likes to read the most. Her favorite activities are traveling, going to the movie theatre, meeting up with friends and having cooking sessions with her awesome mom.
Charlie and her cohorts are always good for many laughs and to solve a few mysteries as well. They get caught up in a murder, Charlie tries to play nice with her boyfriend and Marge is unlucky in love yet again. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to more!
The trio of zany, amateur private detectives are pulled into this investigation in a crazy sort of way. This sort of thing could only happen to them. I don’t like spoilers in reviews but don’t mind sharing a few teasers. One of the trio of investigators has found love and is deliriously happy. Another is looking for love but apparently in all the wrong places. The other is seemingly happy with her life as it is now.
Deany Ray shares with us another well-written, intriguing, fun, and easy read. It is a highly entertaining, romantic-comedy sort of mystery. What a great storyteller! I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series
This book really packed a lot into the story. Marge's online dating experience. The subsequent murder of her date followed by the date's wife hiring CMC to solve the murder. The dead man's house break-in. Something rotten at the car dealership where the murdered guy worked. Cell Phone cases. (Wait...what?) Computer hacking...and craziest of all, Brad leaves the house and goes for a walk! Of course there's more too, but you need to read this terrific book and enjoy the zany adventures yourself! I loved it!
CMC Services do it again! Even with their quirky ways, they solve the case of yet another murder in which one of their own was tied to inadvertently. Charlie & Alex's relationship is getting serious, and they always end up working on the same case which worries Charlie because she has such strong feelings for him. But in this case, it turned out to be good for Charlie. This story has you laughing and trying to figure out the mystery of who done it! Another wonderful book in the Charlie Cooper Mystery series. Already started the next, and last one in this series.
These books are light and fun to read. Charlie Cooper is a believable character, and her friends are hilarious. Her parents are also funny as is her brother. Her boyfriend is a perfect match for her. I recommend these books to anyone who needs a break from ordinary life.
Great mysteries! Love this series. The characters are funny and likable. The love story is very interesting, how they try to make it work with their conflicting jobs. Liked that we finally found out that Brad wasn't a total loser. There are a few typos, but not bad.
Charlie Cooper with her family and friends keep the action going as they catch criminals in Springston . Cozy read with laugh out loud adventures. It is a pleasure to just sit back and enjoy a fun story!
I enjoy the characters in this series. You can get so involved that you feel like you are there with the girls. It is like a movie in your head. The writing is that good. Looking forward to reading number eight in the series.
Anyone who likes light reading mysteries and is retired with not much to do,has been cooped up due to civic and is reading quite a few books these days not civic covid19.
I have read the entire series. What a hoot! I laughed out loud at the imaginative predicaments CMC managed to get into. The touch of romance was nice too.
Ray delivers another great entry into the Charlie Cooper franchise! While Juiced is Number Seven in the series, each of the books really does well as a standalone. Fair warning: they will hook you though!
Meet Charlie Cooper, one-third of CMC Services, an undercover investigations firm. Think Stephanie Plum with back up. The girls are unwittingly embroiled in a murder when Marge's lowlife online date runs out to be married, then turns up dead. His wife, being the immediate suspect, needs the trio's help to find the real murderer. No problem, right?
Wrong! Charlie's boyfriend Alex is lead detective on the murder investigation. Sparks will be flying between these two, but they won't involve a roaring fire and a bottle of red! As the madcap trio wade the murky waters of car dealerships and online dating, Alex and Charlie keep butting heads. The girls really need this case to keep CMC afloat, but what will the cost be?
Ray has done it again with a fast-paced tale that keeps you jumping, both the mystery and the relationship will keep you turning pages. Looking forward to the next zany adventure!
[I was given an Advanced Reader Copy of the book but was not required to write a review. The opinions expressed herein are given freely and are entirely my own.]
When Marge gets involved with online dating things don't go smoothly. Marge and her date end up at the same restaurant that Charlie and Celeste have gone to for a girls night out. Unfortunately her date's wife shows up as well. When he is found dead the next day, the wife hires CMC to find the killer and prove her innocence.
What follows is an investigation filled with the mayhem that Charlie and her colleagues always seem to create. Particularly memorable are the visits to the Nine Crocodiles bar. Can Charlie and her friends solve the murder and still keep her relationship with Alex on track?
A mystery with lots of twists and humor filled with fun characters . I can hardly wait for the next book . I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest and freely given review.
Charlie, Marge, and Celeste of CMC Services are at it again with action, hacking, murder, laughs, and accidents as they try to find out who the murderer is before they become casualties of their investigation.
The girls have several suspects to question but no leads to whodunit. As usual, they clash with Alex as he carries on his investigation. The race is on. Who will figure it out first?
It was interesting to see that Charlie’s brother Brad came out of his shell and helped them with their investigation. Who would have thought that they could get more than a grunt from him.
I loved this book as much as the others in the series and can’t wait for the next one.

I enjoyed ready this book with Charlie and all the gang and least we forget about Alex's role in the story. CMC is hired after an online date causes Marge to be a prime suspect in a murder. Then there is the deceased's wife who caught Marge and her husband at a local restaurant and causes a scene in front of Charlie and Celeste. Alex doesn't want CMC to be nosing around in his case, CMC was hired by the wife to prove her innocence. A tough dilemma for the new couple to be in. Can they work through it and find the real killer? This is a great story about murder written in a humorous way. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Charlie and the gang are at it again. This time, Marge is on a blind date when his wife shows up. If that's not bad enough, the man is murdered the next day.
Pros: Well developed characters, a good bit of humor, and a solid plot that also contains a decent amount of action. We also learn some new information about Charlie's no good layabout brother.
Cons: The story has a slow start. But once you get through the setup chapters it turns into a really good and fun read.
Juiced was every bit as good as the first 6 Charlie Cooper books! If you love Stephanie Plum and Miss Fortune you will love Charlie! She is both these characters rolled into one! I can’t wait for the next one!
A really fun read! Online dating can be too good to be true! I love Charlie and Alex! lots of twists and turns in this murder mystery filled with quirky and interesting characters!
