Bahdaj builds plot attractive for children, so they don't yawn and want to know, what's next and they may start understanding what sport may mean for some people, why it's important for many. For most of young hooligans here there are only two ways: football discipline or criminal future. The adults can enjoy the background: old Warsaw-Wola folklor and harsh social circumstances of Paragon living in poverty. What I love in this story is that it's old style children novel in which kids work to survive, struggle with alcoholic fathers, get beaten up by the villains, they don't grass afterwards as it's against their code, drink beer with pleasure with no author's preaching etc.
