Too Much

It was too much for me! Like I like Dark but not this dark. Also I prefer slow burn and both books start with the physical stuff right away.

Sadly not the best they’ve written. Very disappointing.

HEADS UP CONCLUSION:
Don’t buy this book or the stand alone book of Protect Me and Keep Me. They are not the best and they are disappointing. If you want, but the other book of the authors titled Savage Beginnings. That book is far better and trust me if you read that book first, you won’t be satisfied with their old books.

REVIEW:

I read this book after I read “Savage Beginnings”. I was so over the moon and even reading SB again and again. That book is the best dark romance so far. It’s a very subtle story with HEA and cliche plot.

Yes, this book is also HEA and cliche plot. But sadly, the deliverable is just so disappointing. I give 2 stars because it’s not worst yet also not deserving to have 3 stars and above.

Why disappointing? So this book has 2 stories in 1.

Review on Both books:
I hate that both books serve very instant infatuation and love and yet also abusive at front. It’s also sexual harassment at front and too much physical at front. These men indeed are Mafia. Sadly, I keep comparing these two stories with “Savage Beginnings”. You’ll understand once read SB. To me, Xander and Damon are not intelligent. They are not as stable and intelligent as Julian.

But one think I can conclude after reading these 3 stories, you can see the intelligent growth and the writing development of the authors. You can see the characters in SB are more intelligent and solid as if they are really alive compared to the other stories.

I’ll now review on each story in this book.

1. Protect Me
To be honest, I love this book better than Keep Me. Though, Keep Me has longer and deeper story. I love this book better because the character development is although very fast, it still makes sense. I love the consistency of Damon and Keira as in personality and narrative. I can see the careful writing process for this story. It’s short and rather lighter than Keep Me. But I think it’s a more subtle story than Keep Me. Unfortunately, the story is too short. But I understand than authors may want to focus on Xander’s story than this one as he’s the big bro.

2. Keep Me
I have a love and hate relationship with this book. I think this book has rather major plot than Protect Me. The plot is more serious yet I don’t it’s delivered well. Until about half of the story, you have to stay patient and remind yourself that this is “dark romance-type of story”. Yet to me it’s too dark. Until the end of the story or MOSTLY you’ll see how Ella being abused and used. Xander is like a ticking bomb and he’s legit crazy I can say. Though at the end of the book you’ll have the solution for Xander’s personality and psychological issues, I think that’s a very short and simple way, TOO SIMPLE for a huge plot about his abusive behavior. To me the switch between his character before the last chapter and his character after it, is too instant. It doesn’t even make sense.

SPOILER ALERT!
I also hate that the thing that switch Xander to realize his grave mistake is when he found out Ella pregnant and he starts worrying because she’s having his child. Like what the hell?!!! He doesn’t think about the mom! But because she has his son! What happened if at that time she doesn’t? To me, it shows all the way through the story that he doesn’t see her as a very precious person in his life. All he sees is his child. Unlike Damon who sees Keira’s life precious then comes the child.

Other thing is Xander also almost never call her name. He keeps calling her with a pet name and not even cute or love able! You can count by hand how many times he called her Ella even in his narrative.

Also, Ella is like a stupid human or a robot to me. She’s okay to be his RUG. She’s okay that she’s about to be killed many times by Xander. This is not normal and doesn’t even make sense. But I guess this is why she’s so stupid. I think she’s the stupidest among Keira and Elena. She just let Xander does whatever to her. She’s okay that Xander never calls her real name, never even ask her name! She’s okay Xander is all but physical to her. She even wants it! She’s okay Xander choked her to death many times!

Other thing is Xander’s story, to me is like when you walk with your limping leg. It’s hit or miss. You don’t feel like they are real. You’re not absorbed in their story.

This is by far the most twisted story I’ve read yet I don’t find a satisfying solution. You’ll understand what I mean when you read it.

OMG! This duet is not for the faint hearted. This was no sweet passionate love story, it was raw pure adrenaline, deep down in your soul ruthlessness, sensually dark and dirty, it will twist you up inside in so many ways until you can’t see straight.

Damon and Keira, Xander and Ella there stories intertwined through family, bloodshed, love, loyalty, betrayal, loss. The hurt, the pain, the depravity that was controlled and wielded, smashed and obliterated ten fold.

The secrets, the lies, the twists, the turns lead to the inevitable, the truth. Each of their stories was raw and sensual, as it was powerful and confronting. There love for each other heartbreakingly beautiful. It was fast paced and thrilling, it made my heart race and soar to unfathomable heights. The need to see there growing attraction, the lust and fear, to own and dominate, retaliate, to take control, god it was hot.

Denying there attraction to one another was hard, it was seductive, sensual, suspenseful, but when they came together it was electrifying. The way they loved each other, there love provocative, the romance heartwarming and beautiful, there love so passionate, they desire each other above all else.

If I could have read it in one sitting I would have. I had no choice but to savour it, and it was worth it. Since I picked this story up I could not put this book down, I was hooked from the very first chapter right up until the last. This author clearly knows how to hook and ensnare her readers to ensure they come back for more, me I’ll definitely come back for more from this author for sure!

The different points of view told a telling story, the dark themes that were explored, especially the complex, yet intricate family dynamics, all connected very well, it made it so easy for the reader to totally immerse themselves, to get lost in the entirety of the story, it was absolutely breathtaking.

And those s€x scenes in and out of the bedroom were oh so steamy, deliciously wicked, dirty, hot, beautiful, dark, sensually erotic, naughty, raw, powerful, passionate, wet, dominating and wild, and there happily ever after is what any reader would wish for.

Protect Me: Keira and Damon’s story. Keira is shocked when she finds her brother dead. Her brother told her where to go if anything happened to him. He sends her to a strip club owned by Damon. Keira can’t figure out why her brother would tell her to go here. Damon is an a****** and seems like the devil himself. He may be an ass, but he doesn’t want anything to happen to Keira, especially, when he finds who is after her. That man is even worse than Damon. This took me on quite the ride emotionally. There is suspense, action, secrets and of course some very hot and steamy scenes. The chemistry between these two is explosive and they’re attracted to each other right off the bat. Their connection gets stronger as the story goes on. The walls that Damon has set up start melting as does the ice around his heart. Damon will do whatever it takes to protect Keira and keep her safe.

Keep Me: This is Xander and Ella’s story. You met Xander in Protect Me and learn he is Damon’s brother. These two brothers are searching for their father whom they thought was dead. Ella is searching for her sister and ends up caught. When Xander and Ella meet, she is put at ease. She thinks he will save her. However, Xander is a cold and cruel man who never does anything unless there is something in it for him. Though he does save her, he keeps her at arms length. He doesn’t understand his feelings towards Ella. Ella can’t understand his hot and cold towards her. The more time they spend together, the closer they get and the more the walls Xander has in place starts to crumble. These two have such an intense attraction towards each other and their chemistry is hot enough to melt your kindle. This is a dark and intense read with suspense, deception and action in and out of the bed that. Xander May be an a****le, but he is all alpha and extremely hot. Those are the best kind.
Snatch up this duet of the hot as sin Rossi Brothers. You won’t be sorry.

Two amazing books put together for your reading enjoyment.
Protect Me:
Hold on because these two writers take you on quite the ride in this book. Keria loses the only person in her life. She doesn't know how to deal with that. She goes to the one person that she was told to go to Damon. But Damon is not the person she believes him to be. Her life is in danger will he be able to keep her safe? What exactly will happen between Keria and Damon? I loved this one. Intense gripping shocking. So well written. These two together are absolutely amazing. Can't wait to read the next one.
Keep Me:
This series keeps getting better and better. This is the third one in this series and oh my god I have to say the best one so far. This one is about Xander and Ella.Ella is a very innocent girl who is searching for her sister Violet. But in the process she is kidnapped. Xander finds her and things escalate from there. That is when this book jumps to intense. I absolutely love what is going on between these two. Ella has no idea what she is dealing with when it comes to Xander. Will he be her savior or the devil? I was holding on to the end of my seat through this whole book. Balancing Xander who is rough controlling but wants to feel with Ella who is sweet innocent and wants to love Xander. I was torn emotional through this book. But I loved every single minute of it. It is a must read. These two did an amazing job writing this one. Love these two together.
This is one amazing series. I absolutely loved each book. The characters in each one were unique and enjoyable to read about. Highly recommend.

Protect Me:I wanted to hate on Damon for the way he was treating Kiera, but as I kept reading I started to feel a certain way about him, and it wasn't hate! This book pulled me in, kept me interested and left me wanting more!! I definitely recommend this book and I am moving on to Keep Me.
Keep Me:I'm actually giving this fantastic book 4 1/2 stars. I wish there was a way to give half stars. Anyways, this book was exciting with heart pounding action and the sex was off-the-charts hot!!! Xander is not a nice man, as you found out in the previous book in the series, Protect Me. I have to say for most of the book I did not like him AT ALL! There were snippets of a good man that Ella brought out, but he would easily slip back into monster mode when he was angry. When I had about an hour left in the book I tore through it! I couldn't read fast enough because I had to find out what was going to happen, and let me tell you, that ending is epic! I definitely recommend this book and this series! It's exciting and crazy and sexy and even heartwarming! So get comfy and brace yourself for a wild ride and a HEA that you will love! Enjoy!!

The Rossi brothers are one of my favorite Mafia families. The writing, emerging story lines and characters are not only sinister but so much more. Both Damon and Xander are true mafia family characters who are not nice guys; both dangerous, manipulative, and deadly.

Both Kiera and Ella are the women who take these harden deadly Mafia men and introduce them to something neither thought they could ever feel.....love. These women are put through hell by both men in each of their own stories but emerge victorious in the end. Two hardened criminals and brothers who couldn't be in the same room together for any length of time come together to save the women in their lives and kill the father that has terrorized them since birth.

The dialogue is first quality and the characters keep the reader riveted to these two stories. Damon and Kiera's stories is the first in the series with Xander's and Ella's following.

It's one of those books that you hate to see end. Enjoy.

Eh. Took me longer to read than most books because I wasn’t super into it. This has both brother’s books in it. Maybe it’s not my thing but Keira just turning 18 is a big ick to me. I don’t care if Damon is 22. Just ick. She’s all instantly I lOvE yOu. Of course she’s a meek virgin on top of it. Then you get the JOYS of meeting Xander. Originally I had hopes that I’d just truly love Xander but nope. He’s just a straight up azzh0le. Their relationship is honestly just abusive. And guess what? She’s a young meek virgin too who goes I love my abuser! Oh and they both end up pregnant! Wow who would have guessed? *sigh* I wish the issues with the father would have been more prominent. It’s like BAM they storm the place and kill him easily. Maybe I’m a harsh judge. But. I probably won’t be reading this again

I do not generally read Dark Mafia Romances. I'm a fake marriage and enemies to lovers type of gal. However the cover of this book peaked my interest and I decided to give it a shot! So glad I did! I love ether characterization, Beck did not soften the brothers in crime too early; I believed they were ruthless and waited with bated breath for their transformation. The heroines were a bit weak for my tastes, but. have to admit they were what this story needed if the plot was going to move forward. The sex scenes were plenty steamy and well done. I would not pick this book up if rough sex offends you. Overall an enjoyable read, and I love how it's two books in one. The story continues within the same purchase...

This was mediocre. In the first book Keira falls in love within 72 hours and says I love you to the man who holds her hostage (Damon). By the time 20% of the has been read she's cried a dozen times, at that point I couldn't care what happened to the character since I wanted to kill her off myself!! The second book in this duet is a little better. Thank goodness I didn't buy them separately. The storyline is good, but the actual writing is lacklustre I afraid.

I was really disappointed with this book. I thought that it would be more in-depth then what it really was. I was looking forward to a good Mafia story but just fell flat for me. I did rate this book a 3 star because even though I was not a big fan of these book does not mean other people won't like it. For me I really wanted a good in depth mafia story and there really was no meat to the story line.
I read this book through kindle unlimited.

Repeating

This was a very good book, but they needed to proofread a little bit better. I found many sentences repeating . You get lost in the romance and then it repeats again. It's worth the read though.

I read the first book and half of the second. The plot....? I don't know. It was a lot of I love yous after a few days in both books. Weak women and men who would never keep power because they weren't terrifying.

Good books

This was a good two book set. I loved the characters and the story was well written, I just wish there was a bit more. The endings both seemed rushed when I wanted just a bit more of their lives together after everything they had both been through.

sooo good

This series is great. Sexy. Hot. Exciting. I thought Damon was a bad ass. His brother is worse. Mouse is a soft girl who brings Xander to his knees. Mafia story at its best.

This book was an inside joke for years before I was able to read it. Was so far fetched that I laughed through most of it. Describing someone's eyes as orbs is not a thing and stop say it multiple times is just comical.
