44: Becoming Self

Rate this book
Do you think you are born with a life purpose? If so, is there also a time frame in which you meant to fulfill it? Is the Voice that lives within us the only compass that guides us to its fulfillment?
From a very young age, Ania knows there is something that she wants to accomplish. Some sense of purpose or mission that urges her to move out of her home country, Poland. And so she set herself on a life-changing journey to find it.
Through living in Sweden and the United States, unsuccessful relationships with men, and working at the most glamorous boutiques of Chanel, Dior, Valentino, and Tom Ford, she keeps pushing on. As her restless search continues, she finds herself entering the world of personal growth, seeing Jesus in her first meditation with Jack Canfield, walking the fire with Tony Robbins, and talking to Abraham-Hicks from a hot seat.
One thing leads to another. But it is that trip to Normandy in France where she discovers what she was looking for 44 years…

I was sent a copy of this in exchange for a review. This doesn't change my thoughts toward this book.

I think this book was interesting to read. The characters were all vivid, the settings were fun, and the movements through life were exciting to read about. I loved watching someone grow from a young girl to someone who knew who she was and where she fit in life.
I do think the spirituality in this was a bit off. She sent this to me because I'm a Christian... but I don't agree with quite a few things in this book. That threw my rating from a four to a three because it was problematic, in my opinion.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, though, and am glad that I was able to read it.

This story tells such a personal and encouraging story of finding oneself, success, spiritual awareness, and love. I even sometimes forget that this is based on true life story. Through Ania’s ups and downs, she continues to push through and never gave up on her dreams. I specially love her courage! She has been to so many countries, not afraid to fall in love and keeps on finding her niche. And this time and with her new passion in writing and by sharing her experiences, struggles and heartaches, she’s sending a message that sometimes taking a leap of faith and listening to your inner voice is the way for your life to begin. Keep on dreaming.

MY TAKE 🌼:

- According to me it was a great read. I really enjoyed this book and more than anything I learnt a lot of life lessons from this book and in my opinion that's what makes a book great that it helps you grow with every page turn. Life becomes a little simpler when you accept that as we pursue our goals, there will inevitably be challenges and barriers along the way. This is why I feel this book has been a source of inspiration.

-The novel speaks about the experiences of Ania who visited several countries and met many people, It talks about her bad experience with relationships and her wonderful jobs. This book is a inspiration for all of us. Many of us may have faced difficulties like the author has faced.
The problems has been analysed well like a reflecting surface in front of us.
It's like a mind coach- The book takes us to the level of divine world keeping us grounded to reality. The book is written in such a way that you can imagine being different parts of the world.
Definitely reccomended to all!

At first I felt it was difficult to read about those disappointments in men. But at the same time, it was clear from the book that the author herself is immature as a woman. She constantly manipulates men, and the only thing she can do to assert herself in life is to be a woman. She wants to solve every problem by putting on a miniskirt and men will help her out. Every 5 minutes she falls in love with someone who is always an alpha male, and in the meantime she flirts or teasing everyone else. She wants to solve the problems of life through men, and she has a complete list of what her expectations are, a lot of money, excellent looks, charisma, intelligence, etc. while she thinks that being a woman is enough for life. It's all about "I'm a woman, give me free stuffs" "My whole existence is precious" Stuck in the victim role and not reflecting on what are her bad qualities, only blaming everyone else.
Since she disappointed even in women she should ask the question, does she do everything always well? I think that's the main conclusion
