Contact modalities are gateways to the paranormal world that have mystified humanity for centuries.Inside, we examine over 70 modalities that people can use to transcend the waking states of reality entering into realms of the magical and mystical. Examples of this would UFO contact with non-human intelligences, psychic powers, spirit contact, remote viewing, telepathy, hypnosis, meditation, psychedelics, channeling, and a host of other examples are also used to pierce the veil.Throughout history, we have seen the diversity of these contact modalities. Though we have made efforts to categorize these modalities in the past and see them as a separate phenomenon, the similarities are undeniable and ultimately serve the same purpose. This book also looks at the nature of mind, memory and brain research showing that many reported claims of contact are not imagined. This same research is helping to explain how people explore breaks with waking consciousness. The reader will learn that it is entirely attainable. We are now on the verge of being able to train people to create their own break from physical reality, accessing the many benefits from extended states of consciousness.
More than 70 ways to switch off left brain thinking
Canadian author and award-winning UFO researcher, Grant Cameron, shares his personal experience with the “wow factor” of seeing UFOs, and describes the value of contact modalities. Cameron reports on over 70 ways that people can utilize to transcend ordinary ways of (rational, analytical) knowing, with a sense of directly connecting with consciousness. The value of contact modalities is profound, as it seems evident that many of our world's top scientists, musicians, and artists utilize such 'right-brain thinking' when they, for example, feel inspired to engage in thought experiments, or suddenly have a flash of clear insight. Just as Paul McCartney received his song, “Yesterday” in a dream, some of the top scientific discoveries and artistic creations such as seeing the double helix structure of DNA come through in the form of direct knowing and inspiration.
Cameron shows how we can learn to get in the field by utilizing any of a number of some dozens of contact modalities, such as meditating, to quiet the left side of our brains. These modalities are organized in categories including: Eastern; Alien; Mechanical; Secular; Religious; Chemically-induced; Trama; Recreational; Death; Spirit; and Divination. One of my primary research interests over the past decades is related to what Cameron describes as "Apports" in his Alien modalities section. Clearly, apports need not be directly related to UFO or ET contact experiences, and many people who witness items appearing out of 'thin air' also experience those items vanishing again, or transporting or transforming. Clearly, then, the phenomena of reality shifts and the Mandela Effect qualify as contact modalities, with the recognition that their experience is fostered by switching off the 'left brain thinking.'
A truly fascinating aspect of Contact Modalities is the way that Grant provides some riveting details amidst the otherwise comprehensive overview of numerous ways we can practice regularly switching off our otherwise hyperactive left brain thinking. Cameron. describes how UFO experiences have changed over the decades and centuries, from wooden ships seen in the air in the 1800s to modern-day experiences with orbs, mists, beams of light, and triangles. Humanity now has an opportunity to experience what a difference our beliefs can make, when we recognize the foundation of reality is consciousness–and not physical “nuts and bolts.”
We are at a threshold where material science is crossing over into a new domain. That new domain is consciousness not matter as the basis of reality. Science will act like this is a new idea but it is not. Grant does a great job of showing that pre-modern traditions have a lot to teach us about how to grow our conscious awareness. My one big fear is that there is the potential for the rise of the occult and practitioners who are married to our modern desire for power and self interest. This is where some of larger spiritual systems may have something to teach us, because they all have at the base of their practices, a form of asceticism that keeps our waking senses from driving our easily corrupted desires. I think this is where the Eastern Christian Tradition has a lot to teach us. Enjoy the book and be careful out there!
I stumbled on Grant Cameron by accident, introduced to him through Tales of Charlie Red Star. He is my first Canadian UFO researcher. I enjoy his clear, and organized writing style, filled with scientific research, but not close minded when it comes to drawing conclusions that mainstream science still continues to deny and avoid. Contact Modalities: The Keys to the Universe doesn't disappoint, being filled with one fascinating, eye-opening study followed by another. The brain research alone is worth the read, but this book is full of useful options for exploring nonhuman contact. If you are interested in expanding your understanding of why we are the way we are, and the possibilities of how much more we can hope to be, this book will be worth your time.
I loved this book. I went into it as a believer in UAP and the role of consciousness, and this tied it all nicely together along with a few topics I need to research now myself. I will recommend this to anyone questioning the idea of consciousness.
