Born and raised a Ghosttown girl, Trista Anderson has nothing but love for her hometown. After her recent graduation from college, she is eager to return and start the next chapter of her life. However, things don’t go according to plan when her homecoming is derailed by a biker club, an altercation, and a sexy new neighbor who grates on her last nerve. What should have been a monumental homecoming turns out to be her worst nightmare, and a catalyst for things to come.

Gage Masters lives and breathes the MC lifestyle. His loyalty and commitment to his club has secured his position as one of the strongest and most respected brothers of the Ghosttown Riders. Newly rooted in the small town as a business owner and homeowner, everything has fallen into place for him. It’s as close to perfect as life can get. Until the arrival of Ghosttown’s original “golden child”. His strong-willed, mouthy and incredibly gorgeous neighbor with brass balls makes an entrance no one will soon forget, which proves to have consequences no one could have predicted.

The new neighbors are anything but neighborly in a town where they’re both trying to stake claim. Trashed motorcycles, petty theft, and witty veiled threats are just the beginning for Gage and Trista who go head to head at every turn. The biker and the hometown girl are in a war for control while battling their attraction for one another.

Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).

Prob best in series so far

This would have been a 4 star, like the best in the series so far had what I feared would happen, hadn’t happened.
Trista and Gage
Gage turned out to be rather likable in this installment, he had been prior also, just a man h o.
Trista was great with her bold moves and funny ways in beginning. They made a good pair. But I didn’t like how she was so tough, but one the going got rough she was afraid some.
What annoyed me, that I was afraid would happen, was her having to be around Macy since Gage had previously Hooked up with Macy when Macy and Rourke were just starting out in that three play scene. Had it been casual mentions of Macy that would have been fine. But I didn’t like how gage thought so highly of Macy and later in the book mentions that Trista needs to be close to Macy and bond with her and Rourke. I also didn’t care for Macy saying she would take food by Trista and Vada’s without even really knowing her yet. The gesture was sweet, but she’s not friends with her and considering her and Gage’s past experience, she should have steered clear. The way Macy asked Gage to come over for taco night, pretty much telling him I felt crossed the line too. It feels too much like a lie by omission, like here be best friends with this girl I banged before, but I’m not gonna tell you and apparently no one else is either so you look like a fool to all of us behind your back. Am I the only one who wouldn’t want my man being close to a girl he previously Hooked u p with? I sure wouldn’t want to have to be her best friend and around her all the time. I don’t care how nice she is or that she’s with someone else, it would still make me uncomfortable. It’s bad enough the club girls are always around with MC reads.
I really am looking forward to Vada’s and Hades book. However, I do not care for the casual stance this A takes on s e x with other women before and during the H and h getting to know one another. Of course vada had to see hades with another girl in this one getting a b l o w and that just turns me off the book knowing the mains have already met but he’s still creeping around.
All that said, this might have been the best in the series so far.

Quick(ish) Review

Review - Ghosttown Riders by Amelia Shea

Series Thoughts: Damn. I'm surprised at how much I got sucked into this crackilicious series. I mean, I hate the way it starts (more on that later), but emotionally this sucked me right in and even made me like some of these guys that I thought I'd never like (yes I'm looking at you Kase). What I loved is the characters. Especially the way this deals with every day life - there's a character with dementia, whose journey and final moments actually made me cry. There's alot of the aftermath of moving on from grief, that was touching and really hooked me into tearing through this 8 book series like a toddler through a lego set. I was all into it.

This is in line with most MC romances - there's violence, physical and attempted sexual assault, murder, multiple kidnappings. This is a series of bikers trying to get out of the life and move to Ghosttown, population 45. Each couple is settling in a town where literally you know everyone else, so there's no diversity and while there's interactions with the residents of Ghosttown, it's mostly biker centric. The series is also in line with Ghosttown East - around 3 or 4 on the WTFery scale.

The main reason I'm rating this series lower, however, is the editing - missing, misspelled words, and continuity questions really hurt the narrative, which is pretty damn good. But when I'm pulled out of the moment because I'm trying to figure out what you meant to write, not what's on the page, it's a problem.

So with that said, let's focus on the individual books:

The Return: Trista and Gage. Gage has never been one of my fave brothers, not for any particular reason, he's just...there. The guy who's likely to crack a joke at an inopportune time and definitely enjoying every facet of the life. Which is why when he falls in love with Trista, it's just ok for me. Like I'm not a big fan of either of them, but it's the events in this story that has ramifications for the next book that make it interesting to me. 3*

Trista Anderson is home, back from college she is thrilled to being the next chapter in her life. What she doesn't plan for is a new neighbor with a penchant for parties and some bikers bike blocking her driveaway. Trista is not familiar with Ghosttown Riders MC and doesn't realize when she takes matters into her own hands she is playing with fire.

Gage Masters didn't want to make waves, his MC is still earning the towns trust and town local Trista is a gage to the tempo of the town. What happens next though could threaten everything and Gage realizes quickly he is developing feelings for the beauty across the street. That being said when everything goes down tempers will flare and trust will be threatened, could everything his MC has been building be destroyed.

Another great one in this story. Had several twists I was not expecting. I liked Trista, she is a wonderful match for Gage. Amazing series.

This one had quite the opening and it made me really like Trista, she was ballsy, but she did ask nicely first. In previous books I liked Gage, the club man-whore/flirt, he was fun and lightened things up. In this book not so much, I actually started to not like him. The way that he antagonized Trista bothered me, it seemed like she was in the right. They did managed to get things worked out and all ended well for them.

The one thing I didn't expect at all was that Vada, who we all deemed a bad person/ the enemy, ended up stealing the book. I really loved the friendship that developed between Trista and Vada, thought Trista gave Vada some great advice. Vada's stealth move was shocking, yet so the right thing to do. I'm glad that more than just Trista knows what she did and I can't wait to see how things will shake out between her and Hades, even though you know he's going to fight things and be a dick.

Loved it!

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: neighbors to lovers
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

Confession time: I really loved this story, but I'm so invested in the story for the next book that I probably raced through this one a tad too quickly, lol. Still a great read with tons of action. Sensitive readers should definitely heed TWs. Loved the chemistry between the two of them ❤. Its a standalone, but I'd highly recommend reading all the books in series order due to overarching story arcs.

Good read for Gage

At first I was not feeling the story as it was too similar to an earlier book, but since I was reading the series I kept reading. So glad Trista turned out to have more going on than just being a neighbor. I really like Vada, as she showed the strength of a thousand. Cada and Hades are going to be something- I hope! Trista is not my favorite but she grew on me the more I read. Trista is smart and a spitfire. Gage was always fun and free. I am glad that he got his book and he deserved a special woman. There was a ton of interesting happenings between MC. Read On!

In my opinion, this one is a little weak compared to the last two. The emotional side just wasn't quite there or I personally didn't click with them as much. Trista and Gage are likable characters but I don't think they had much to overcome as a couple. Plenty of club drama but not much character development.

Gage's switch from free wheeling manwhore to devoted boyfriend was too quick for me with very little introspection on the topic.

I did enjoy the small connection between Trista and the Reilly brothers about her childhood memories of Jack.

Still an enjoyable read but not the strongest on the series although I feel some pay disagree.

Family isn’t always blood

Amelia Shea once again proves that you don’t have to be family to have loyalty and protection. This book follows Gage as he navigates life with a new neighbor, a problem with another charter, the question of his club having his back and possibly settling down with one woman! The author’s descriptions of this small town make it difficult to remember that Ghosttown is a fictional place. I will definitely miss this series!

Yes

Loved Gage and Trista, another couple perfect for one another. She didn’t give into him and he loved the challenge. Gage was always going to be a good story. The author did a fantastic job setting the scene for this book and also for Hades and Vada. As with previous books the relationship’s between the brothers and between the women of the club were well developed and really nice to read.
Looking forward to book 7!

Gage figures it out

Gage finally figures out he wants what the other are gaining with an Ol’Lady. He is a flirt for sure but can he win over his neighbor. What starts out as a war among Trista and the MC turns into something they never expected. An ally who was a victim as well as Trista to an assault finds a way to get revenge and vindication. The MC realizes they need to stand up for them and figure out how to make it right.

At first I wasn't sure I liked this one at all Gage was over the top jerk but about have way through I began to like it more and more. I do think you should have wrote one more book with Hades getting together with Vada. I think you should make Vada a genius and more secrets should come out about her.

Didn’t care for the h. She was ott. Hooks a chain and pulls motorcycle out of her driveway. Another mc breaks in her house and attacks her and Vada. At first they thought it was H mc that did it. But it was a member of a different charter. The mc try and work deal so they won’t go to war between each other. Vada plants drugs on attacker.

Coming home

OMG! Trista is such a fun and crazy character! I love how she stands up for herself and even causes a little problems along the way. She is perfect for our Gage! He wasn't ready for how she would flip his world upside down when she moved back in across the street from him, but this was a wild and wonderful ride for them!

Addictive!

Gage the major flirt and Trish "Princess of the small town". Their story was so good... So many tense moments. The love story was sweet but didn't start out so smooth. The MC has some serious issues going on. This series just gets better and better. This book left me so intrigued far the next book. I need it now

Gage and Trista

I guess these guys learned a little lesson of not messing with a woman, much less a town that all loved her. Hated what happened to Trista and Vida, but karma got him. Gage wanted to get the payback for Trista and Vida, but Trista didn't want the club members involved. Interesting with how karma worked out and especially by whom. Happy reading.

Gage is off the market!

It could only take a spitfire like Trista to tame and corral a wild bachelor like Gage! Loved their story and can’t wait til I read Hades story...their has to be something for Hades and the hated Vada!

Great MC series

Gage and Tristan had a rocky beginning. It didn’t take them long to get their relationship on track. I love the recurring characters. These are good stories and never boring. I can’t put them down.

Phoebe’s arrival back to town was not one with open arms. Her new neighbor Gage was a thorn in her side. But Gage wore her down in the end even with a high misunderstanding causing some trouble from the club. But that got their hea

3.5 because Trista was awesome! Kind, smart, brave. Vada rocked too but, I think Trista boosted her to become the badass she was meant to be.
Luckily Gage got with the flow quickly.
Loved Dobbs too.
