Honeymoon Training: Obedience
John courted Maria through high school and followed her on to college. He was not Maria’s mother’s idea of a suitable match, but John proposed and Maria accepted. There is just one catch, he had to agree to some unspecified training after the wedding to make him a “more suitable husband.” After the wedding, John is surprised when Maria’s mother and her younger sister accompany them to a forest retreat in northern California. He was not told that his mother-in-law would be the lead trainer. He soon learned that she believes that lessons are best learned through strict enforcement of obedience, frequent corporal punishment and imposed chastity for males. The other women of the family agree. John had no idea what he was in for.

John Branston faces an examination by Maria Hillard, his wife’s sister, to determine whether he has healed sufficiently from the welts his wife raised on his backside the previous day for more punishment this morning.
The author drops the reader directly into this story of domestic discipline.
Even on their wedding night, Maria punished his shortcomings, as she had during their courtship, not stopping with just a spanking, “A lesson only half delivered is a lesson only half learned.”
The honeymoon is at a luxury cabin near a lodge in the Tahoe National Forest on private land. To John’s shock, the entire family comes with them, with Maria’s sister, Francine, in the cabin between John and Maria’s and Vivian and Frank in the main lodge.
The day after arrival is the first day of training. John’s clothing and breakfast are specified by his wife and mother-in-law and, right away he is ordered, after breakfast to Francine’s cabin, where his wife’s sister and mother, along with “Aunt” Harriet proceed.
Meanwhile Maria meets Jason. She is to call him Sir. Her father, Frank enters and explains Jason’s purpose, which is to teach Maria the proper administration of discipline. What the author is doing here is introducing “old guard” methods, which I doubt would be needed in a female-run household—especially by a member of the opposite sex. Jason has a cabin elsewhere where there will be no distractions.
Back to John, we find him being shaved by his 19-year-old sister-in-law, then fitted with a metal chastity cage, for which Vivian and “Aunt” Harriet hold the only keys. He is given an undersized pair of white shorts to wear along with a T-shirt with “Property of Maria” printed on the back. After a light lunch, John and Maria go for a walk.
There is more training for both John and for Maria, along with interaction between John and his Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law. The conclusion would be unrewarding unless there were a second book.
This story loses one star for copy-editing issues.

I had high expectations from this book, as the first part of Cheryl Series was awesome. I have even listed that book among the ones I consider Masterpiece of Femdom Erotica. Sadly, this book is a big mess. There are too many characters, and all are one-dimensional. Scenes of spankings and other domination are boring. Character actions, reactions and the logic provided for those are absurd and unrealistic. There is also infusion of Maledom spanking female scenes. The story kept moving between first person and third person POV's. I'm not sure if I'll be wasting my time on the later parts of this series. And I won't recommend this book to anyone. In fact, I will suggest skipping this book and instead read first part of Cheryl Series.
