Feverish Love: Love Under Quarantine - Book 1

Rate this book
Only their shared passion for saving lives could’ve brought them together in the midst of a deadly global pandemic. Dr. Giva Kamanda, the gorgeous West African ER doctor, and rich, Beverly Hills bad boy, Dr. Hogan McQueen, can’t stand the sight of each other when they’re forced to work side by side in the special COVID-19 unit at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. An infamous womanizer, Hogan hasn’t met a honey he can’t have until he puts the moves on Giva and is quickly rejected. But soon, pride and determination earn him the golden opportunity to show his pretty colleague that he’s not quite the jackass everyone thinks he is. As different as sardines and lobster tails, Giva and Hogan make a hot lust connection that sets the bed sheets on fire by night and strengthens their partnership on the job. Falling hard for each other, their new secret courtship is tested by an unexpected blast from the past, and one of Hogan’s recent flings is still carrying a torch for him. In a quest to conquer the lethal virus while keeping the flames of love and romance burning, the one thing that brought the two doctors together is threatening to tear them apart forever. Hogan is in the fight of his life and Giva is willing to walk through hell and fight the devil to save him and their promising future together.

Heart warming, relatable to what covid19 does. Thank goodness the author mentioned the polical war between health care and government officials. I'm please with authentic views.

They came from two totally different worlds

But they were so alike in many ways. Dr. Giva Kamanda thought that Dr. Hogan McQueen was an arrogant selfish playboy bastard. He just accepted things that he could not change. Giva was the only woman he knew that challenged him and would not let him get away with disrespect. She was willing to walk away if he did not. He just could not let that happen. There was something about her that he was not willing to let go of.

The author wrote a sweet easy read story about two doctors coming from two different worlds. Each world having its own culture and expectations of how women are treated and expected to act. Giva's ex Hasan expected her to come home and be a dutiful wife and be a part of his practice. Giva did not want any parts of that. Hogan used women as his playthings and cut them loose before they caught feelings. That is until Giva became a part of his life. I would have liked to have read more about this couple, like how did each family react to their seeing each other. Did Gwyneth just give up? How did Hasan break the news to his father? I just wished there was more to the story.

Cute read! I appreciated the realness in story telling about Covid-19, regarding the lack of supplies, the hospital being understaffed, and even medical professionals are not immune from getting ill. Giva, a passionate doctor, gave her all to her patients; but had difficulty separating her emotions from the science. Hogan, a handsome doctor, all the women lusted after, seemed to be a jerk off with his approach. However, this was just his way of accepting things he couldn't control. These two seemed so different, and they were in many ways, but once they had a opportunity to bond a true friendship flourished. A playboy at heart found love in the least likely of places, during a global pandemic.
Enjoyable read.

A common goal

Covid19 is no joke. Even doctors have to find a way to stay healthy and diligent. Givia and Hogan were the docs in the CV19 task force and were dedicated to caring for their patients. As people spend time together things change. There were bumps along the way.
I liked this story and felt the energy between these two was genuine. When a man finds the woman nothing stands in his way.

A great read

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I enjoyed it! Dr. Kamanda and Dr. McQueen finally acknowledge their feelings for each after working together closely at the hospital during Covid-19. Filled with some minor angst for them both and over coming Covid-19, leads to their HEA and an awesome surprise. 4 solid stars🌟🌟🌟🌟

Today 's Issues

I love how this book is showing two doctors fighting to help patients with the Covid 19 virus. During the process Giva and Hogan fell in love with each other. It was a little drama with someone Hogan messed around with but not enough to break them up.I am glad they happy together.

Second Book

This book is the second one I have read by this author. Setting is the same but the vibe is different. It was a quick read unlike the other story which was much longer. However, the action was engaging and the storyline was smoking. The storyline was ripped from the headlines. Great characters great chemistry i highly recommend it.

Giva & Hogan

Dr Hogan McQueen and Dr Giva Kamanda working together during the Covid-19 pandemic very much attracted to each other... However, Dr McQueen aka Dr Do Me, because he slept with ALL the female Doctors, half of the PA and some nurses... 😂 WOW! Dr Kamanda, is no nonsense Dr who refused to be one of his HIT IT QUIT IT, well some men like the chase & the rest is history!
I wish we had a glance of the Mc Queens clans reception of her and ...

A cute story!

Through the pandemic, a lot of decent, caring people have emerged. I wish this volume and quality of empathy could occur daily. The doctor's concern and helpfulness outweighed the romance of the story. Such a feel good story, it is worth the read.

Good Read

The book was good and short. Having been quarantine kind of reminded me of somethings I went through. Absolutely loved the characters in the book.

Unexpected love

The main thing I did not like is the cursing but everything was pretty interesting and like a fairy tell, with ups and downs.
