Things are not always what they seem and most certainly, in this family man's life, they are rarely what is heard. We all know that hearing loss is no laughing matter, or do we? Many a misadventure has started off with a communication failure - this one is no different. Despite his best intentions our hero finds himself in the most awkward places imaginable while trying to do the most basic of things. A pleasant family vacation ends rather dramatically - and hilariously, then gives rise to the telling of a simple assignment gone terribly wrong. Was it by design? Revenge perhaps? You'll never know unless you read this one. Our hero, unfortunately will just plain never know.
Steve Odenthal is a Humorist and Playwright living in the Intermountain West. He enjoys traveling with his wife, Valerie, and seriously enjoys time spent with the grand-kids. His writing captures the joy of family life and brings a smile to the reader. A caution should be noted that this writer, while telling an endearing story, is not above going for a belly-laugh or twisting a tale to fit his memory rather than the exact facts.
