James Harrington.

That’s my name, my birthright, and my curse. I didn’t always hate being a Harrington. At one time, I took it as a privilege. I used it to my advantage. But a name doesn’t stop you from losing everything, and after six haunting years, that everything is back forcing me to face the past or give up a future.

Evie Harrington.

I bet you didn’t know about me because James doesn’t talk about me. Or to me. We had it all and I was never happier. My family was my entire world, but that world shattered. When faced with the unimaginable, is there a way to put the pieces back together? After six painful years, it’s time to accept our history and move forward or move on from one another.

It’s the final Harrington brother, so hold onto your hearts. Silver Biker is going to be a bumpy ride.

A touching, swoony and hot story about sexy James “Ranger” Harrington, the bad boy of the Harrington brothers and how he found his way back not only to his family but to the love of his life.
“My heart is hardwired to her, and the moment we connect, it’s like a plug in an outlet, sexual energy flowing.”

Nineteen years ago the sexy search and rescue officer James Harrington swept the slightly lost debutant Evelyn Fitzpatrick off her feet, literally and figuratively. Their attraction was like rock and flint, sparks flew and the die was cast. Their attraction grew to seemingly unbreakable love until tragedy made James push Evie away.

After almost six years of waiting for James to seek her out, Evie is ready to move forward and goes back to Blue Ridge to ask James for a divorce. But is that what she truly wants? Can James overcome his misplaced guilt in order to win back his wife’s heart?

With SILVER BIKER, L. B. Dunbar pens a sizzling page turner. Flush with sizzling hot chemistry and pull at your heart strings emotion, we get to know James and Evie through flashbacks on how they met and fell in love the first time, and how they struggle to come to grips with what they lost and acknowledge that no matter how much time and distance they place between each other, their love is forever.
“His hard strengthened my soft. My tenderness loosened his stiffness.”

I was hooked from the very start with James and Evie’s story. Even though their story starts off with them in a very shaky position, it’s obvious how much they long for each other, how perfect they would be together if only they could get past the grief that’s blinding them, especially James. I felt so much for James and his self-loathing. I rooted for them and was very satisfied with how their relationship developed.
“I’ve been waiting for you to take my heart. Keep it.”

This is only my third L.B. Dunbar read. I “met” her through Penny Reid’s Smarty Pants expanded Universe and I LOVE how much I’ve liked her heroes. I highlighted so, so many lovely, swoony phrases!

Silver Biker is a standalone romance from the Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge series by L.B. Dunbar. It is a sexy, swoony, compelling romance told from both points of view with a happy ending.

I read a review that claims both have been celibate. I’m very confused how celibate is he when he’s been getting “head” from other women while separated from her making him a cheat. Does having oral sex not count as sex? 😂😂 why yes it does for me

I’m not happy being with other woman, but I am a man. I have needs and I try to give what I take. The tongue works wonders. Fingers too. But there’s a part of me that doesn’t belong to anyone else but one woman.”

“I’m sitting near the pool tables toward the back of the place. I’d just won a game and somehow the woman on my lap is my prize. I’m not getting laid, but I’ll be getting long overdue head.“

Is that supposed to make us feel better, that he’s doing some other things with OWs while I’m pretty sure his wife/heroine has been celibate because it wouldn’t be the first time this author has written celibate heroines while the men whore themselves out and she also has written cheaters.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he hasn’t divorced her and he’s getting “head” from randoms.
So in walks the heroine while he has the biker “bitch” (his words, not mine) on his lap and licking his nasty ear off. You know how that goes, heroine is feeling and showing her possessiveness. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Like he’s the grand prize. Honestly I think all these authors heroes act like horny little bastards when they are close to being 50 years old. All can think is wrinkly di*k

If you have read other stories in the Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge you may remember referrals to and glimpses of James Harrington. I guess you could call him the ‘black sheep’ of the family but his disassociation with his family was really his own doing, it was not something they wanted. Then there is his estranged wife, Evie, who walked out on him after their son died, leaving him even more heart broken - well that is the story everyone knows and believes.

These two first crossed paths nineteen years ago when James worked as a Park Ranger, he stumbled upon Evie hiking a local trail. The second time was later that night when he approached her campsite to inform her she was illegally parking her airstream on private land. This was a night that included skinny dipping, incredibly hot sex and the beginnings of a baby in her womb.

Three months later Evie shows up in town to inform James of his impending fatherhood and she never leaves. They become inseparable after marrying and making promises to be each other’s rock for the rest of their lives. And they do that for years until an unimaginable tragedy completely tears them apart.

‘A rock doesn’t roll over his wife. He doesn’t push her aside, and that’s what you did, didn’t you?’

Six years later, Evie is back in town for a fleeting visit, she needs closure on her marriage to James so she can move forward. However, what she finds is an incredibly broken man who seems to not have taken any steps forward, in fact he is going backwards. It is heartbreaking to see James like this and very confronting too. Memories of their life together come flooding back and Evie is feeling emotionally depleted being back in Blue Ridge but it’s also time to face people she hasn’t seen for so long.

‘I pushed her away because I love her. I didn’t want to take her down with me, and I was going down. I was slipping under my own guilt and grief with no light above me, not even her.’

James has sentenced himself to a life of loneliness, he thinks he deserves nothing less. However, the only thing that has never changed is the depth of love he has for Evie. Seeing her again reminds him just how lonely he really is.

‘Pillars sometimes crumble,’ she says, as she holds me. ‘And then we just build them up again.’ She has no idea, and I’m out of gravel and mortar to rebuild myself, to rebuild us.

Before she left, Evie felt neglected and unloved, her grief was never validated by James and when she needed him the most he failed to live up to the promises he made her on their wedding day. The last thing she wanted to do was leave him, his family and the town they built their life together in.

‘You said we’d get through anything as long as we were together.’

This is a story about two broken people, one seeking closure on their painful past and the other seeking forgiveness. The feelings between Evie and James were incredibly real and raw. This story had all the book feels for me and was such an emotional journey for this couple who were simply destined to be together.

These Harrington men!! I mean can I have them all? #notaskingforafriend

What a turn of events this Harrington turned out to be. If you’ve read some or all of the previous books, then you’d had snippets of him already and you know he’s not winning any congeniality awards any time soon. However, his story packs a punch, it’s nothing like I thought it would be and he is beautiful in all his pieces. And Evie .... I mean ... *sigh*

James and Evie have a history I felt to my soul. I was utterly heartbroken and hopeful thru most of the story. I know, you’d think one couldn’t be both, but Ms Dunbar has skills people. If Evie and James have any chance of moving forward, they have to move thru the past, and we are right there with them. I felt like I was part of the story. It was just so real and relatable. Rebuilding trust is not an easy path. You have to be determined and invested. You have to know that the journey is not a snap and accept it. You have to know that your investment is your future. This story represented all of this respectfully and true to real life. It’s one the best stories I have read by this author thus far.

“I’ve just learned you’ve messed around with others. We should not be doing this,” she says
“Peach, I just told you I haven’t fucked any other women.”
“I didn’t think it’d be right when I was still married.'

What does that even means. It was clear he was having oral with OW for six years not only getting but also giving.

Trixie? Trudy? Tabby? I can’t remember her name, but I squeeze her hip. She’s wearing the shortest of short skirts in black leather and a white top cut so low her red bra hangs out. Her thick ass presses into my thigh.

Maybe I can get lost in her, but I know I won’t. I don’t want to spend the night with her. Still, I don’t push her off me yet. I’m not happy being with other women, but I am a man, and I have needs. I try to give what I take. The tongue works wonders. Fingers too. But there’s a part of me that doesn’t belong to anyone else but one woman.”

So does that not mean cheating? Fuck that. Those who say oral sex is not sex are lying. As long as anything with private parts are involved it is sex even if you are wearing clothes while performing oral or just touching others privates it’s sex and as along as you are connected to other person emotionally or legally, like they are separated but not divorced or one is in love with other it is still cheating, IMO at least. So yeah this novel contains cheating.

Now read this

“Nope. Not my type,” I say to my friend, turning my gaze back to him and then offering a kiss to the jaw of the woman on my lap.
I’m not getting laid, but I’ll be getting long overdue head.
I’d like to think the ease will allow me to stick my dick in someone random, but I know it won’t. This bird on my lap could sing pretty, smell sweet, and tease me in all the right ways, and I still won’t be going where I can’t bring myself to go.
It isn’t that I can’t get it up. It’s that I don’t think I deserve to sample the pleasure.”

So he is basically saying that the reason he doesn’t have sex with ow is not because he doesn’t want to but because he doesn’t deserve to. So if he somehow he overcame his guilt and grief he would have had no problem fucking ow.

BTW, why didn’t this grown ass man who’s also a ranger didn’t get serious therapy after suffering such a great loss. Loss of a kid is not something to be taken lightly. He could have done that after one year maybe two years when the grief wasn’t at its peak. But he should have ASAP. Authors need to focus on and show the importance of therapy and how helpful it is in changing ones life in a good way.

If he was seeing a therapist he needs to change him/ her yesterday and see a new one pronto because the old one was not making any progress.

This loser h sees him with ow and the next thing we know both H and h are kissing instead of talking about life like the grown ass 40+ mature adults they are, not horny teenagers.

Those who are saying this so REAL, stuff like this happens in REAL LIFE blah blah... then let me tell you if I see my husband after six years with ow in his lap, licking his jaw, I WILL WITHOUT A DOUBT throw divorce papers on his face and get his sign in that instance, no second thoughts and once the papers are signed I’d junk punch him for cheating on me and if he lies to me on my face about not cheating because he didn’t do the deed then I’d probably chop his nuts off for lying to me. Then I’ll go somewhere where it’s peaceful and if I like that place, I’ll settle down there and will live happily with or without a husband because I DONT NEED A MAN to be happy.

Ps. Did I mention h sex life is just pathetic?

The Last (?)☹️ Harrington brother, James "Ranger", the black sheep of the family, gets his book and some just desserts.
I didn't know in the beginning if I was going to find in my heart to forgive him or sympathise with him. But Dunbar packs such a brutal, powerful punch with the hard secret that hides behind his "unfeeling, uncaring" act of betrayal of sorts, that I was left with tears in my eyes.
It's a story of togetherness, shared joys and sorrows, shared loss and grief and both take different approach to cope with it.
Evelyn is sensitive, honest and compassionate
James is gruff, rough but dedicated
both are the unlikeliest of couple, a marriage between mountain hick and southern, poised lady
I loved their introduction scene on the lake with the camper. And from then on James and Evie captivated my heart
Loved the book, sad that the series is coming to an end, but maybe Duncan gets his book and Prez Justice gets his book

Marriage reconciliation, second chance romance.
Older Hero and heroine.
The couple break up over the loss of a child.
It's quite an emotional story, very sad and grief is explored.

So in the prologue the couple hookup then the heroine leaves.
She returns to say she's pregnant.
In that time of separation neither are with others.
He says flat out he's been celibate and she says she's never done a hook-up before, it's not her thing.

During separation which is 6 years.

After the prologue.  Chapter 1.
The couple are married but separated.
The biker babe on my thigh cups my chin and forces me to look at her.

Trixie? Trudy?

But there’s a part of me that doesn’t belong to anyone else but one woman.

Heroine shows up.

It’s that I don’t think I deserve to sample the pleasure.

In a show of possessiveness and bitchiness to the max, the biker babe kisses my jaw, licking along the hard edge and scraping her tongue against the silvery stubble. Her eyes remain on the peach before me.

Later he says
'
“I’ve just learned you’ve messed around with others. We should not be doing this,” she says
“Peach, I just told you I haven’t fucked any other women.”
“I didn’t think it’d be right when I was still married.'

Heroine.
I can’t accuse him of cheating. I have my own guilty sins after six years, but that’s another reason I’m here.

Hero's previous reputation
'I’d been a player most of my life. I’d had no shortage of women and one woman I nearly wrecked with my carelessness, but Evie was different. When her body collided with mine that day in July, her lean weight pressing my pack at my back, I knew I’d never be the same.'

She's met someone else and wants a divorce so they can marry.

' He stepped out on me,” I say even though I haven’t exactly been faithful either. Dalton’s the only man in six years I’ve let get close to me, and even then, I’m not certain how comfortable I really am with the idea. It’s only been once, and that’s when I knew I had to let James go, or I’d never be able to move forward.'.

What I didn't like was how they needed to discuss things but they end up kissing etc even though she's seeing another man with the intention of getting married to him.

Later the heroine says ' “I never slept with him,” she clarifies, finally admitting something I never wanted to ask.'

I found it a bit confusing, it seemed to imply she had slept with her current man but then stated she didn't.

HEA.

Lots of scenes with previous couples from previous books in series.

LB Dunbar never disappoints me. I will always be a fan of her work!

Silver Biker had me hooked from the very first page. I instantly knew right away that I was going to love this story of James and Evie and I truly did. I don't want to give too much away but this story is packed full of history, heartache, self destruction, and redemption. LB was able to punch you in the gut emotionally but she also hit you with the angst, HOT chemistry, and plenty of steamy scenes to keep you going.

This book is definitely going to my list of 2020 favorites!

My favorite of The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge Series as well as the Harrington brothers!

This story was heart rendering and palpable with so many deep seeded emotions and captivating characters.

James “Ranger” has been a mysterious black sheep of the family. Estranged in a self inflicted isolation from his brothers and parents. Turning instead to his biker brother family of choice he maintains his distance and wallows in his past and pain with anger. There are so many layers to this enigmatic brooding man and I started out thinking I’d not like him but found myself recognizing that the anger and closed off persona he portrayed masked a deeply rooted loss, guilt and sadness. And I felt for him liking him for his faults.

Evelyn/Evie “Peach” had suffered the heartbreaking loss and ultimate hurt of rejection and what I felt was misunderstanding based on her own grief. She returned after being separated from James for almost six years, through no real choice of her own, finally determined to put an end to the bitterness and hurt and move on with her life.

I felt deeply for these two damaged people and rode along with them on their bumpy road hoping they’d communicate with each other in an open, honest way to fully reach an understanding and acceptance of their mutual grief. Ultimately, their love was clearly evident and their chemistry was unmistakably palpable and undeniable.

L.B. Dunbar has written a deeply unique and moving story with realistic tenor and true love at its core!

It’s always great to be back in Blue Ridge to catch up with the Harrington’s; I love this family and their friends. I have been intrigued by the glimpses we have gotten about reclusive James Harrington in the previous books and have been eagerly awaiting his story; L.B. Dunbar did not disappoint, James and Evie’s story was everything I hoped it would be and so much more.

Silver Biker was and emotional roller coaster of a read about loss and tragedy which brought me to tears at times. Both James and Evie have been through so much and the fact that they can see light at the end of a very dark tunnel is heart warming. It is a story about taking stock, looking deep inside yourself and coming to terms with what you learn. At times it felt overwhelming, but underlying this book, is a story of love and determination.
Coming to terms with the pain of their past, gives James and Evie a second chance, to forgive and move forward. This story has drama, angst and a beautiful love that shines through despite all that James and Evie have been through. It was also steamy and it was great to catch up with the other couples and see what is happening.
This story grabs you from the first chapter and will not let you go until the end. Silver Biker is a well written, strong, second chance at love story with characters that are easy to relate to and whose story you will quickly become invested in. It is a great addition to The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge. One click this little gem, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Damn I didn't see that coming. This book was nothing like I was expecting. It broke my heart over and over. I definitely wasn't expecting the tears.

LB Dunbar out did herself again. This book gave you all the feels and pulled on the heartstrings. You think you know James and Evie's story but this book has nothing on what you think. The heartbreak, the sadness, family and love; this book has everything you need in a great romance.

I'm sad that we're leaving Blue Ridge and the Harrington's but this was the perfect ending to the series. I look forward to what LB has in store for us next.

Silver Biker is James and Evie's story. We have watched him come and go through out the series as the black sheep of the family and we truly did not know the grief he has been carrying with him till now.
Evie and James had that instant connection. They were young, free and so different but soon life got in the way and tragedy pulled them apart. We now are watching this couple live, move on and hopefully learn to forgive. Is it possible to find your way back to that one person who was and is your everything. Their tale was steamy, heartbreaking, filled with angst and us visiting all of our favorite characters once again in our hands and hearts!

I love my visits to Blue Ridge and I love catching up with the Harrington clan, this was the book I’ve been waiting for, I was excited for the mysterious, illusive James Harrington’s story and I was not disappointed, this book was everything I expected and so much more.
James and Evie Harrington’s story is not a sunshine and rainbows romance, they have shared so much heartache and that means this book has plenty of drama and angst but it also has plenty of love, compassion and chemistry, let’s not forget the scorching hot chemistry.....
I don’t want to write a review full of spoilers, I think this book is best read first hand with no preconceived ideas so I’m just going to leave you with how this book made me feel. Silver Biker touched me on so many levels, I smiled, I cried, I swooned and at times I wanted to bang this couples heads together but this book was a very special read because this story has stayed with me long after the last word was read. It was an emotional read that once I started I couldn’t put down and as much as I loved James and Evie, I also loved catching up with the rest of the Harrington clan and I’m left wanting more from The Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge. Can’t wait to see what Ms Dunbar has in store for the next instalment in this great series.

Where do you even begin, Silver Biker is everything I anticipated it to be and a whole lot more.
James & Evie’s story is one that will take you on an emotional ride from the very first page right up until you see the words The End.
James & Evie have been through so much together and when it’s time to come to a heart felt decision do you fight for what you want or do you walk away and try and move on. Watching them fight for what they believe can be is heartbreaking at times but the heartwarming comes at you just as hard.
I have loved every book in this series but I believe L.B truly saved the best for last.

I absolutely loved Evie & James Story. It was brutally emotional journey for both characters & the reader. I was up all night reading. I found myself getting frustrated with both Evie & James; but especially Evie because she would misinterpret Rangers actions & at the same time I wanted to smack Ranger for not getting his head out of his bootie. You will be pulling for them to forgive each other & come together but at the same time your heart is breaking for Dolton; because all he ever did was Love Evie. Hold on tight your in for a wild ride; will the prodigal son come home.
Congratulations L.B. Dunbar you should be very proud of silver biker! ❤️

Arc, for an honest review.

When tragedy and pain collides sometimes you push people away to hide the hurt. And the one person you pushed away is the person you need to heal that pain.
OMG, James. His soul shredded by an unbelievable loss. Barely powering through life, doing stupid things, like destroying his family in the process.
Evie, you are strong! I can't even imagine it.
Like always, she does it again. Another Silver Fox for your palate.
Andddddd .... Could Justice have a book coming?? I mean I sense it. hmmmm

This book had my emotions all over the place. I was happy, sad, angry, disgusted, etc. You name it, I felt it. It's a lot more serious than the rest of the series too, so that probably didn't help. It was just one long depressing book where I only saw light at the very end.

The main reason why I had to rate this one low is simply because of the OW/OM James and Evie are involved with, even though they're still legally married, although separated for 6 years. I get that James pushed Evie away after the death of their son, but THEY'RE STILL MARRIED!!! That kept screaming at me in the back of my mind every time we'd hear about how James was with other women (but only oral which somehow makes it okay? yeah, right...). And Evie wasn't completely innocent either. She was in a serious relationship with a guy and that was why she was back in town - she wanted a divorce so she could move forward with that guy. She didn't have sex, but they were still boyfriend/girlfriend and I'm sure kissing was involved. Even kissing is cheating and cheating is a hard limit for me in books when it's happening while the two are still in a committed relationship, even if they haven't seen each other for 6 years (by choice, mind you).

I also hated that the author let James go 6 years without any sort of grief counseling given he was there when his son died and personally blames himself (and is why he pushed his wife and family away). That's not at all healthy and it made it seem as though that was perfectly okay when mental health is important and should be taken seriously. James doesn't start seeing a grief counselor until the end of the book and it only gets a couple lines of mention. I get it was part of the story, but it only made me hate James even more.

The book does tackle the issue of grief and it's a major theme of the book. It's all-consuming and it keeps James from moving forward with his life in a positive way. And then there's how Evie reacts to the emotional trauma at the end, which I think shows she should have also seen a counselor a long time ago as well. She may have moved forward with her life and coped better, but it was obvious she still had some issues years later that were unresolved.

I liked having previous characters make an appearance. They helped add some light and humor to an otherwise downer of a book. The ending was cute, that was the best part...

Silver Biker is the fourth and final book in L.B. Dunbar’s Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge series. I’ve enjoyed every book in this series, and they have all tugged at my emotions but this one was something else altogether. Have those tissues ready because you will need them.

James has hovered on the edge of the other books in this series. He’s the self-prescribed family outcast, the black sheep, but we’ve never known his full story. Moving between the past and present, Dunbar recounts James and Evie’s story as young couple expecting an unplanned baby through to their six year estrangement following a personal tragedy.

This story had me engrossed from the start and I loved the journey these characters take us on. The attraction and love between James and Evie is evident but they have hit rock bottom, and have stayed there for too long. I felt Dunbar did marvellous job in opening up James and Evie to us readers. It’s messy and painful, yet a riveting tale about a grand love.

I highly recommend this book and this series.

Silver Biker is a captivating, emotional tale about two characters separated by tragedy. This story will give you all the feels as you experience the heart break, the sadness, the love and togetherness all rolled up into this romance. This is James and Evie's story, two totally different characters from different worlds who had instant connection but who hit rock bottom and were struggling to survive an unthinkable loss. The story was angsty, heartbreaking and steamy, yet it was a riveting tale I could not put down. You will be invested in these characters and be rooting for them to find their way back to each other. I enjoyed this novel and would recommend it to all lovers of second chance romance.

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you thought Giant, Billy, and Charlie Harrington were stubborn, readers, meet James Harrington, L.B. Dunbar’s newest hero in Silver Biker. James Harrington wins the prestigious award for Most Stubborn Harrington Brother in the Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge series. Now, you are probably saying, but Professor A, he has endured a serious trauma in his life. His response is appropriate for his loss. Well, I’m not heartless, so yes, it’s appropriate, but it will also drive you to drink as you read Silver Biker. When Dunbar was crafting her hero for this book, and she used her imaginary character generator, she legitimately chose stubbornness for his first trait and then added in possessiveness. Together, these are a heady mixture. Add to that a story that magnifies the difficulties of trauma and grief, and you’ll find Silver Biker to be an ode to couples who struggle but yet survive.

Dunbar’s Silver Biker is a tug-a-war of visceral emotions with the past on one side and the present and future on the other. If you are looking for an easy read, the ease is only found in Dunbar’s style and the careful layout of her plot. However, each turn of the page is an agreement in frustration as James and Evie balance feelings. There is a realism in this story, and it deftly illustrates the different grief processes of people. Both Evie and James have suffered a loss, but each has taken a different path to process it. Dunbar is careful in not stating there is a “right way” to do so, but she makes it clear that one may not be as healthy as the other. These two are tortured on their journey, and Dunbar makes it palpable for her reader, investing them emotionally.

This isn’t Giant’s story of second chances. This isn’t Billy’s story of laying down his secrets. This isn’t Charlie’s uber-charged $exual extravaganza and worries over the perceptions of his life (although Evie and James’s chemistry burns bright in this story). Dunbar holds our hand through each page, but there isn’t really any resolution until almost the very end. This keeps you on the roller coaster for much of the story. There are times when you want to get off of it, but you simply cannot because Dunbar endears you to James and Evie. These are two broken people trying to find their wholeness again after many years. It’s a keen admonishment about choices and the ways that we choose to live our lives. And with his award for most stubborn firmly entrenched in his character, James reminds us time and time again about the pain of letting go.

I had been waiting almost impatiently for Silver Biker. I love stories that act as a mirror to the challenges of the human spirit. Even more, the romance genre proffers a happy ending for the pain of enduring that reflection. When a writer such as L.B. Dunbar does this carefully, she owns a piece of you. And she does this brilliantly in Silver Biker. If you’ve been reading the Harrington Brothers’ stories, you knew this was coming. You knew James and Evie’s story would be profound, but anticipating it and living it with Dunbar’s characters are entirely different. Silver Biker absolutely met my expectations and offered up MORE. If you’re a reader like me who adores the broken heroes and the heroines whose tenacity and strength save them, then L.B. Dunbar’s Silver Biker is a true #oneclicknow kind of book.

Imagine crossing paths with the love of your life out on a hiking trail. That reality is what James and Evie experienced 19 years ago. The two felt the world tilt when they met, and that encounter led to skinny dipping and a night of fun. What transpired from that encounter would bring James and Evie together again once they realized that parenthood was on the horizon. The two quickly became inseparable and life together as husband and wife soon followed.

With love comes tragedy…….an event that was unimaginable would change the course of this marriage. No one was prepared for what happened or the pain that would follow. James retreated into himself and pushed Evie as far away as possible. Six years pass without the couple coming to terms with their separation, until Evie decides it is time to let go of the pain from the past.

Heading back to the past means facing James after so many years. While Evie has decided to pick up the pieces of her life and move on, James’ life is still in a constant upheaval. When Evie comes back to town, James finds that his love for his wife has never dimmed. The remnants of the couple’s former life kindled a fire inside of a heart so damaged that forgiveness seemed impossible. As the two share memories from their past, the grief slowly gives way to understanding and hope for the future. Can Evie and James find a way to forgive and move on from the tragedy that tore both of their lives in two?

Are you ready for Silver Biker? This new release left me holding on to my heart while shedding a few tears. Written about a very realistic couple, Silver Biker kept me captivated from beginning to end. L.B. Dunbar has once again proven that her writing involved a story plot that is so realistic you can imagine every nuance of the characters. Evie and James certainly face a tragedy that is hard to swallow, but the love that lasts in their hearts was inspiring. Silver Biker has it all……romance, tragedy, love, humor, and second chances!! Make sure to add this beautiful story to your reading list!!

Oh my, what are you doing to me?? My heart hurts. James and Evie's story is brutal and made me cry more than once.

We already know James "Ranger" Harrington because he's one of the Harrington brothers - and sister - from Blue Ridge - and if you don't, you have to go and buy all the other books of this series and read them first.

Back to James. He's also the black sheep of the family, estranged and a member of a motorcycle club since some tragic days six years ago. His brothers are his new family, because even the toughest men need one. But there's someone from his past who's haunting him, someone he can't forget. And suddenly she's there.

Evie is James wife on paper and after six years back in town to see James in person and to finally get what she wants. A new life. Without rejection from the only person left, she loves above all else. She processed what happened years ago as well as possible. She did it on her own, although she would have preferred James by her side. But James was sure it was best to let his wife go. Not to hurt her any more than he already has.

I'm heartbroken!! Silver Biker is not what I expected it to be. What Evie and James had to go through is hard. For me it is incomprehensible what strength you have to have to cope with such a fate. They are both strong and at the same time weak, but together they would've had it so much easier. Thank God they recognized in time that together some things are easier to handle. And let me tell you, there's a lot to handle. I enjoyed this story, the look into their past, heir instant attraction and interaction, the chemistry was off the charts. As always I absolutely love the writing style and the realism of the story.

I'm sad that this series is going to end, I would love to read more about the Harrington clan.
Highly recommended 😍.

Over the last couple of years, Ms Dunbar has introduced us to the Harrington family of 4 brothers and a sister - all 40+ as they allow their wounds to heal and find second chances at love. As we have gotten to know this family, one brother lurked in the background, James. Silver Biker is the story of his second chance.

Each story in this series has something that makes it unique. For James, the unique factor comes from the fact that his second chance isnt't with a new relationship, but with the wife he's been estranged from for six years.

I'm struggling a little bit with how to tell you that you need to read this book without giving too much away. There are so many layers here that the reader really needs to discover for themselves that I feel like I am walking a very fine line.

James is an interesting character. There were times during Silver Biker where I found myself rooting for him, but not liking him very much. As an individual character, I struggled a little bit with Evie too. There were times when I wanted to shake her and tell her what to do. As much as I had times when I wasn't loving either character, their story climbed in my lap and didn't want to leave. Ms Dunbar did a masterful job of weaving love, loss, passion, grief, anger, and hope into a push/pull that went just far enough to create change, but didn't go so far as to be redundant.

For loyal series readers, you will be excited by some of the side stories that play into the evolution of James and Evie's story. As James is the last Harrington to get a story, there was a sense of being "complete" as we found out if he and Evie could mend the things that were broken. But, I'm not sure I'm ready to let Blue Ridge go.... there are other secondary characters that I think need a story, so I am hoping we get to come back soon.

Well. L.B. Dunbar does it again. Another top 2020 read. This is an absolutely stunning, emotional, steamy conclusion to the Harrington Brothers series. I could not put “Silver Biker” down, and my heart felt uplifted, yet saddened when it was over. Book hangovers are not the norm for me, and I definitely suffered one.

“Silver Biker” is second chance romance done *perfectly*. The touching blend of past memories is interspersed with the couples current day real life trials and unimaginable heartache. I rooted for James and Evie and was so fulfilled by the end of this story. Even though their story is a sad one, their love just felt real. It was palpable. They had stuff to work through and overcome and they did the hard work.

I enjoyed coming back to the Harrington family, we see a lot more of Giant and Letty (“Silver Brewer” is book 1 in the series), and that was such a treat. The entire Harrington clan comes together in this book and it was done in a touching way, read: there were tears. (While I feel like having read the previous books will greatly enrich this conclusion story- “Silver Biker” stands alone.) James was such a self proclaimed black sheep that going in, I truly didn’t expect to care much for him, and through this novel, he became my favorite brother, and possibly favorite L.B. Hero. He and his estranged wife have been broken by their grief. But, there is still so much love. Tears were shed and smiles were had witnessing hearts and families mended. This story was just absolutely beautiful and such a touching conclusion to the Harrington brother series.

James and Evie’s story will take you on an emotionally roller coaster ride. There will be ups and the downs will tear your heart open. I was so heartbroken for Evie (Peach). I just wanted to hit James (Ranger) on the head sometimes. James is a great guy but after tragic struck six years ago, he just couldn’t live with the outcome and shuts everyone out in his family including Evie. He is the black sheep of the family and becomes estrange. Evie is struggling as well, and her life will never be the same after the day that took her world away. James copes by taking big risk and not caring if he lives or die. You think James will get his life back together and fight for Evie, but then other obstacle gets in the way. Evie can only take so much considering they have been separated and in different towns for six years. During an event is the last straw that her life with James is over. She sees he does not want her anymore less look her in the eyes. Will James get the chance to fight for Evie and not push her away like he did six years ago? Is he just going to let her slip threw his fingers when he has a lot explaining to do? Will Evie give James the chance to tell his side of the story and let her know he has never stopped loving her? You will not be disappointed in this ready. You should be prepared with a box of tissues. I volunteer to read ARC for an honest review
