Jobless and homeless, Shyla Bellamy needs a miracle. Trouble is, she doesn’t make the best first impression. With no work history and no education beyond her high school diploma, she’s not exactly a catch.
While failing to impress her interviewer for a position that could solve all her problems, Shyla gets a break. The boss decides to take a chance on her. Why? She has no idea.
Just grateful to have her miracle, she throws herself into her new life… maybe with a little too much enthusiasm.
By the time she learns who she’s working for, there’s no going back. Turns out, the man who took a chance on her is the estranged son of the country’s biggest crime boss. Why is he estranged? Because his own brother set him up for murder.
Score McDade walked away from his life, from his past, from his family. But a man used to being in charge, being feared, can’t walk away from who he is. As his orders become more personal, more intimate, Shyla has to decide if she’s ready to take on some extracurricular responsibilities.
Should she refuse Score’s orders or give herself over to his command? Warning: Contains explicit language and imagery. Suitable only for ages 18 and over.
Writing has always been a big part of my life. Since I was a child I've known exactly where my passion lay. No matter what's gone on in my life writing has been my touchstone. After all, we all need a place to escape to. Reading is my idea of heaven. There's nothing I like more than to switch everything off, close the bedroom door, and curl up with a good book. I have a feeling that's something all at Goodreads can identify with.
Thanks for taking the time with me today. Now do something for yourself, go and curl up in your own reading heaven.
The only reason it’s 4 star ⭐️ is because I feel there could have been more to this book. Once Score let’s her in & they decide to unite against the enemy that hurt Score which in this case is pretty brutal.
The book itself I love ❤️ it … their story and the process of them getting to know each other . The daily interaction I loved. You can feel the push and pull . “”The curious woman finding her attraction to be overwhelming “” The dominant side of SCORE trying to keep it slow until he knows she gets settled in . Even with him pulling the brakes , they still unite pretty quickly. Their chemistry off the charts .
The brutal ordeal of being in prison for a crime you didn’t commit. Would make you want revenge . And since there are more books in this series .. I’m curious how this will all play out.
Book two is another Brother .
I’m hoping Score & Shula’s story unfolds more as well. Within book two .
All. Only. What a story. A young woman needing a job meets Score/ Phoenix, and becomes more than a housekeeper. She finds him attractive from the start but Score is standoffish. He doesn’t have a lot to say to Shyla, so she just tries to make breakfast and dinner and have things ready for him. Score and Shyla seem to have an attraction going on but Score keep her at a distance. Her feelings for him are constantly burning up, but he keeps teasing her. Score may not want to have sex but he makes her strip, or go to bed naked, and leave the door open. What’s a girl to think? Before long the heat between these two explodes. Shyla agrees to Scores rules and commits to everything he suggests. But he isn’t being completely honest with her. There’s things he needs to talk to her about. The book is sexy, hott, and I like the characters. Should be interesting how things come together in the next book. ❤️
i dont get how he did that whole speech at the beginning about wanting a relationship with trust and honesty and got them from her throughout the whole book but never gave it back. and why did he say it was only sex at the end when he also said the opposite at the start.
anyway regardless of all that it was cute and an enjoyable read. i liked her. though there was a huge power imbalance. i wanted her to get some independence but she did show she wouldn’t stay if he didn’t treat her like she wants to be treated so loved that for her. i don’t get how the grandparent/his friend let her give up her whole life for them and they didn’t even plan or warn her for the future. i really thought she was gonna inherit that house or something.
wish it was a bit longer so we could see them actually together for some time.
Also I’m so excited for the next book!! I love the marriage / enemies trope!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
first time author. i am in two minds to pick the next one.
the sexual tension was insane but it fizzles out by the time they actually have sex.
the heroine was sheltered and stupid even though her brother was serving time in jail. ......eerrr no one is that unaware when ur own brother is in jail!
infact even the hero annoyed me! he refused to have sex with her the min he learns she is a virgin. she feels hurt then puts her big girl panty on and hunts for someone who would get rid of her virginity! obviously the hero put a stop to her stupidity! (a la - tum meri nahi ho saki toh kisi aur ki bhi nahi hone dunga! abbey o BC! she is begging you to fuck her, u r the one who is hung up on her virginity!) the plot was annoying at best.
the mystery was not complete and the ending was abrupt.
The pages are drenched in anticipation and dripping with passion!
The pages are drenched in anticipation and dripping with passion! The characters are well written. He is alpha in every sense of the word, dominant and powerful, he has the patience to go after what he wants. Everything about him made me swoon! She is selfless and charming. Caring about everyone around her. Their chemistry is immediate and overwhelming. Watching them struggle for control was exhilarating. He had a presence that called to her and I enjoyed every moment they spent together and in each other’s thoughts. There’s was so much burning passion I was a puddle on the floor. The way he exerted his power had me begging for more. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
I absolutely adore Scarlett Finn and how she writes 😍😍💗💗 This book is no exception, Score/Phoenix and Shyla are an awesome couple. It's a sad start but then soon picks up. There's some mystery and secrets to their relationship, that you learn throughout the book. There are also a couple of other people in the book, they are Beeks and Fish, who work closely with Score. I love Fish because he's just like a little boy, so excitable and naive 😍😍😍 This book is definitely worth 5 star's, well more if I could give them 😍😍😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Loved the intrigue and mystery. At times I was annoyed with shyla mostly because she expected so much. But he was up front about things until everything he expected of her he didn’t give back. Like total honesty. Props to her for having a backbone and standing up for herself. Hot steamy scenes. Love the relationship with fish and beeks. I’m interested in razer and his predicament. I hope biz gets his justice served.
While thinking everything is not going to turn her way, Shyla finds a job with a mysterious man. Score is the alpha man that she doesn't know that she is looking for. With his back ground and what he has lived through, Shyla has to be more sure of herself, now more than ever. I love how the characters are brought together and I cannot wait to see how it turns out in the next book!
I like this story. Score and Shy are good characters. I must say I feel that the way this ended was not what I expected. I feel lost. I am torn between 3 and 4 stars. For me I have so many questions, but I don't know if I'm going to get the next book to see if they get answered. It's up to you if you want to read it. Maybe the other reviews can help you decide.
Sometimes I think Scarlett Finn could write out a grocery list and make it an exciting, must read. This start to a new series is no different. I’m all in for this adventure. Can’t wait for the next book.
If you like your men dominant then you’ll love Score. I know I did. A lot! I had no idea where this story was going at first but, when it got there I wasn’t disappointed. All. Only. is a delicious and sensual slow burn suspense, that you won’t want to miss.
Shyla and Score have left me wanting more. The heat, and build up kept the pages turning and the climax certainly did not disappoint! An intense read. Score's presence, power and dominance lept from the pages!
Immediate attraction. How can a stoic find an onnocent so beguiling? Shyla has aboslutely no idea what she stepped into working for Score. She doesn't and cannot leave. A dangerous and gut wrenching reality. Too. Hot. To. Put. Down!
So if you're a big fan of alpha men who talk a big game, this is your cup of tea. Score has a fetish for dirty, smutty convos but very few actual sex scenes happen. Well written with few, if any, typos.
Shyla is a woman looking for employment after the man she cares for dies. With little to no experience she's in desperate need to get a job. She is hired by Score McDade, a mysterious and dark brooding man she finds very attracted to. This is a slow burn romance with lots of heat and passion. This is another smoking hot read by Scarlett Finn.
Blurb: Jobless and homeless, Shyla Bellamy needs a miracle.

This book is sexy, intense, and a page turner. It was hard to stop reading it once I started. I loved these two characters and their interactions. I'm excited to see what happens next.
