Melanie is an amazing mother of four, an awesome and tolerant wife to one, and nurse to many. If you don’t believe her, just ask anyone in her family, they know what to say. She is also a devoted chauffer, the keeper of missing socks, a genius according to a six year old, the coolest soccer uniform coordinator according to a twelve year old, and the best damn ‘mac-n-cheese-with-cut-up-hot-dog maker in the whole world. Well that last title isn’t really official, but it’s still pretty cool to be called it.
When not being ordered around by any of the kids, you can find her with her nose in a book or on the sideline of a soccer game cheering on one team or another. But that’s mostly because she has a thing for the coach. When she is not doing all of the above, you can find her obsessed with a group of fictional characters all vying for a spot on the page of whatever she’s working on. It’s a fun and crazy life to lead, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
Not terrible, but not great. The title references redemption but I just didn’t feel it. Especially when you find out that he cheated on his first wife (h of book 1) for THREE years with a flimsy ass excuse of not getting attention. I think the problem was that he did a bad thing and regretted it, but I didn’t feel that he learned from it (ie wouldn’t do it again.) And the h of this story bashing the ex wife bc she’s so “perfect” Idk I just wasn’t down for this.

Okay, so I was really excited to read this story. Logan really needed to find someone special and Kat was perfect for him.
Logan has felt like the third wheel for the last three years in his social circle. Hi ex-wife married one of his mates, his sister is best friends with his ex and he lives next door to the new happy family. He 100% owns the mistakes he made which lead to the downfall of his marriage and the downward spiral of his life for a while. His relationship with his eldest son is completely fractured and he often is the butt of jokes among his friends.
Basically, the last three years have been not so good. Meeting Kat on the sideline of his son's football game was an unexpected but welcome plot change in his life. He finally found a friend not attached to his family circle, someone with an outside perspective of who he is and it feels pretty amazing.
Kat use to be married a guy who was a bit of a douche so dating Logan is like nothing she has experienced before, he is an absolute gentleman and it is amazing. Logan thinks that Kat is absolutely adorable and he loves the way she ramble talks when she is nervous. It is wonderful having someone who has his back and someone he can truly talk to without fear of judgement.
Kat and Logan's story was just perfect but I was left wanting at the end. The last couple of chapters just felt rushed. Things happened with Jonathan and I felt like it needed to be fleshed out more. The chat Gillian had with Kat near the end was just a bit odd. Lastly, there was no epilogue at all. The previous books all had one but this time, nothing :( I really hope Melanie does a follow up novella!
I didn’t like Logan or Kat she was so abrasive and insecure and disrespectful to the ex wife, I mean he did cheat for 3 years he got his ex wife in danger and still he is a good guy,no he got what he deserved with Kat I bet she wouldn’t be as nice as his ex if she was cheated on I don’t get the need for this book he didn’t do anything to redeemed himself just felt sorry that no one liked him ,after what he did why would anyone like him.
Have to say I’m not a fan of the character Logan or his woman Kat. I didn’t like him in book 1. So this book that try’s to redeem him didn’t work for me. Although it does give more information of his affair with the OW.
I never got my why, it didn't dig deep enough. After knowing he would lose everything if he cheated again, he did it anyway with a woman he didn't have some great love for, but just a casual side piece that he didn't appear to have feelings for, why? Why would he risk that?
