I read these books after watching the movie on Netflix. The movie was good, cringey but good.

I fell in love with these books, my favourite was the second book when it was the school of girls and boys and tedros was in his villain era.

Agatha and Tedros were an amazing couple to watch fall in love, even if I wanted to push their heads together multiple times.

Sophie... my god was annoying at times, the time she told agatha she wouldn't be a good queen and to let tedros go and got inside her head for her selfish reasons really put me off her and although she did redeem herself later on I could never quite let that go, like that was her best friends true love and she still tried to sabotage it????

Hort my love deserves all the praises!!! man was a saint

I really loved the last two books the plot twists in them were amazing.

Amazing Story!

This is honestly a wonderful series! I got so attached to these books, I love them! They are fantasy type books, but they have so much more in them, there's romance, and  drama🎭,  you get attached to the characters because you get to know them so well, you get to know everything about them, and you end up hanging on there every word, wondering what will happen next. Theres always something new, interesting, and mysterious. Theres always a new mystery to be solved, it gets you interested and just constantly wanting to keep reading to find out whats next.I was so sad when it was over and there was nothing else to read, but at the same time im glad it had a good ending😊 This is one of my new favorite series to read, and I will definitely reread this again in the future.

I absolutely loved the twists and turns in the 'School for Good and Evil' series as readers attempt to connect the past and present. It's a fantastic coming-of-age book that helps young girls realize friendships and relationships require balance. The message is clear: you don't need any type of relationship that isn't meaningful. However, it's essential to understand that no relationship is perfect. That doesn't mean you should give up on it. Instead, talk to your friends/family member/significant other, find out why there's trouble, and work together to resolve it. The magic of a true connection is worth the uncomfortable conversations and apologies.

It's aimed for young adults, so don't expect Shakespeare. 10/10 FUN series in a way you would not expect. Lots of love triangles, sisterhood, drama and epic storytime battling! These type of novels are fun when you don't have someone in your ear telling you theyre childish... sometimes it's good to read a whimsical cliche magical novel & the school of good & evil is a good take on the idea of fairytale lands.

Do not waste your time. Not recommended for kids, teens, anyone. The series promises a subversion of fairytale tropes and then never delivers - not in any of the books. The central romantic love story is between an intelligent, capable, emotionally regulated girl and an obtuse, immature, lashing out teen boy who continually treats the girl badly throughout the series. There are hints he might change/learn/grow: at one point he is turned into a girl, but he whinges that he cannot possibly be in a (shudder) girl’s body and promptly changes back before learning anything. It is unbelievable that the girl would ever be interested in him- he is so petty and cruel to her and insecure. The “lesson” of the series is that she has to diminish herself, to sit back and let the boy do his thing, while she makes her peace with being quiet and no longer being an active character. Again, there was the possibility of growth held out for the boy, that he might learn a king is a figurehead and any good king has a large group of friends and colleagues and experts all
working together for the greater good… but no. The final climax is the boy not working with the girl and her friends, but hiding his plan from them (for no reason other than to try to prevent her from ‘taking over’), although still counting on her to guess what he never bothered to tell her. It is deeply disrespectful to girls, to women, to true partnership, to honoring the teamwork necessary in any endeavor. I kept reading on, thinking the author would finally subvert the tropes… but he never did. A massive waste of days and days and days of my life, only to be suffocated with the author’s ideas that the way a girl grows into a woman is to make herself smaller, quieter, less active, so she doesn’t threaten the insecure bully of a boy. Deeply disappointing and a terrible model for boys and girls, men and woman.

“The School of Good and Evil” is a book series that follows two unlikely friends from beyond the woods. One is Sophie who physically beautiful just like the stereotype of a classic fairy tale princess, however, Sophie is trying her best to leave her normal life and attend the School of Good and Evil by trying to showcase the School Master that she is “good”. Unlike her friend Agatha who is a loner and often grumpy whose appearance seems like stereotypical witch (however who can blame her since she and her mother live in the grave yard). Wants to be just normal and content to live her life as is and believe Sophie is overly imaginative believing that there’s school full of magic and happily ever after.

Until one night both girls were taken to the School of Good and Evil; however, things did not go as planned when each girl went to the wrong school. Sophie went to School for Evil and Agatha went to School for Good. Both girls are struggling in their classes and discovered if they have three fails that they will receive a curse and be forever stuck in the world of fantasy.

As Agatha try to find away to bring Sophie to her senses while Sophie is determined to prove she belong in the School of Good. Both girls are fighting for their lives and trying their best to find their ever after (hopefully together).

If you are fan of fantasy, magic and school jinx you will enjoy the “School of Good and Evil”. If you seen the Netflix movie version of this story you will find that the original book contains more depth as you see the characters struggle not only to survive but their own inner struggles.

Ik vond de film erg leuk dus ik wilde de boeken eens proberen. Ze zijn een pak donkerder dan de film maar toch nog wel met humor. En man, zoveel verrassingen. Dat true love en happily ever after klinkt vervelend maar hier gaat het alle kanten uit. Ik kon echt niet stoppen met lezen, 6 boeken lang.

Great children/ young adult books. Great story, only negative is it is a bit too long or dragged out at some points. Oh, another negative was about a 5 year old who did not speak, or barely spoke. I think 5 year olds can speak way more that what was mentioned in the book. Loved it otherwise, 4/5 from me!
