We all celebrate in different ways! A great way for kids to get their wiggles out, learn about differences, and the real point of Easter. Bonus, the illustrations are adorable!

This is a board book with padded cover, lively illustrations, rhyming text. It is all about praise to God. Scripture tells us in Luke 19:40 when Jesus was being praised the pharisees wanted Jesus to hush them. Our Lord said.... "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

The author of this young children's board book is giving an "I imagine" take on what might have happened on the morning of our Lord's resurrection. Suppose everything rejoiced - animals, fish, people, at this joyful occasion. Surely in creation's own individual ways, they praised God their creator. So this is supposition, but it takes the reader to a place where realization that all of creation rejoices.

Scripture at the end of the book..... I Peter 1:3
New International Version (used in book) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

New King James Version (my preference) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

A cute book that directs the heart and mind of young children to the real reason of Christ's resurrection and our celebration of it.

Cute but not particularly accurate. There seems to be a dearth of solid, accurate Easter books for kids, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places...

The Quiet Crazy Easter Day is a really cute book. It will make children understand Easter and the season in why we celebrate it. It really is something lovable and enjoyable. The book is padded and good for little ones.

The pictures are vibrant and tell to story. The words rhyme to make it fun. I enjoyed the rhyming though out the book. It is not all that hard to see what the book is about. How would you celebrate if you were there when the lord was reborn.

There no book so far that does this for little children that make it this easy. Little children as young as 2 can look at the pictures and enjoy it as well as children as for can learn to say some of the words. Read along with a parent there. It that sweet and cute.

I'm a nature-lover, so this book is a special favorite! Animals from ladybugs to eagles, worms to chipmunks, doves to sheep and so much more rejoice in the risen Savior. The joy of the true meaning of Easter is evident when all are celebrating and rejoicing in the "hope, peace, and joy" that comes as a result of that Easter day so long ago. The illustrations are adorable and the rhythm and rhyme of the book will have children anticipating the words and pictures on the next page. This is definitely a book that will cause kids to plead, "Read it again!"

Some… pitter-pattered, and some, croaked. Some howled and some soared. Some swooped, or cooed, or hopped and bopped, while others did much more.

In a new 2020 board book, published by B & H Kids, titled THE QUIET/CRAZY EASTER DAY, written by Jill Roman Lord and illustrated by Kelly Breemer, children see a world explode into excitement following the resurrection of Jesus, God’s Son. The writer uses many animal sounds, people’s actions, and an angel to express what could have happened on Easter morning; and the illustrator delights the reader with happy characters throughout the 24 pages.

This book definitely offers a creative new look into our Lord’s Resurrection Morning for young children; and is produced in a square, but thick, picture book that will survive readings or chewing for years to come. Although the word “crazy” is in the title below the crossed-out word, “quiet”, (maybe for attention), perhaps a better word like “noisy” might have been used, since children today may interpret crazy to mean weird, or insane. Or maybe, kids won’t ponder it at all. However, The Quiet/Crazy Easter Day truthfully parallels the biblical account of Christ’s rising from the dead. And for that, believers can shout, Aleluya!

Kids love Christmas. But what about Easter? Written by Jill Roman Lord and illustrated by Kelly Breemer, The Quiet/Crazy Easter Day is the perfect book to help your child celebrate Resurrection Sunday.

A Crazy Celebration

The book is about a crazy celebration that might have occurred when Jesus arose. All of creation is calling out for the King, and animals yell out and leap for joy. The text is large and filled with rhyming sounds and words to help you bring the story alive.

This was the first padded book I received for review, and it makes for a fun and safe texture for little hands to hold. The cover pops and is immediately inviting to younger eyes. There are eleven pages to turn, and each is filled with beautiful, bright illustrations.

The Easter Message

I appreciate how the book is explicit in the Easter message: “Yes, Jesus rose up from the tomb to take our sins away. And though we cannot see Him, He is still alive today!”

Fittingly, the book ends with 1 Peter 1:3: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” Amen.

I received a free copy of The Quiet/Crazy Easter Day but was not required to write a positive review.

The Quiet Crazy Easter Day by Jill Roman Lord (B & H Kids) is a 22-page, colorful children’s storyboard book that is perfect for the Easter season. The word “quiet” is crossed out in the title, because the theme of the book is how likely it was that all of God’s creatures rejoiced at Jesus’ resurrection.

Using rhythm and rhyme, the book book imagines how every creature, from ladybugs to ladies and eagles to angels burst into howls and shouts of praise. The book should be fun to read, and easy to understand, although perhaps one line could have replaced “distinctive” with a simpler word such as “special.” The illustrations by Kelly Breemer are bright, clear, and use a full range of colors that fit very well with the theme.

I highly recommend this book as a cheerful way to teach children the true meaning of Easter, while also teaching about different animals and the sounds they make.

Disclosure statment: I received a complimentary copy of this book upon promise of review. I was under no obligation to write a favorable review.

This book is similar to Jill Lord's The Silent Noisy Night. It may have been a quiet day when Jesus rose again, but most likely not! The animals and people may have celebrated with a loud noise and the animals may have gone crazy over the news. The book ends with the explanation of why we celebrate Easter.

This is a fun book to read to the young ones. They like to see the bright pictures and imagine the animals make crazy dances and noises to celebrate that Jesus is alive. It is a great book to read just before and during the Easter season.

Easter book about Jesus’ resurrection, with focus on what noises the animals may have made while celebrating His resurrection. It’s a good addition to other Easter books that focus more on the actual story of Easter, but wouldn’t be good on it’s one since it doesn’t really tell the story of Easter fully. Elliot enjoyed it when he was 1.5 because of all the animals, but he wasn’t interested this Easter at 2.5

I think this is a book students would enjoy reading. It has a rhythm throughout the book that students may enjoy. This is a very upbeat and happy book. This book can lead to many class discussions such as what other days were quiet and crazy?

The Quiet Crazy Easter Day by Jill Roman Lord with illustrations by Kelly Breemer (B&H Kids, 2020) is a delightful book that is sure to capture the attention of the little ones sitting on your lap, or in a circle at your feet. The illustrations alone will hold their attention, and the combination of the Easter Story, the rhymes, and above all the animal sounds you’ll make turn this into a story that toddlers will want to hear again and again.
Not only does it share the Easter story, but it brings an awareness to the fact that all creation is invited to worship God.
Besides all of that, as if that weren’t enough, one of the early games we play with our littles is asking what noise a cow or sheep or pig makes; so this is also a learning tool. It won’t be long before the kids are adding the sound effects!
I received a copy of this book from the publishers in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review.

This beautiful board book re-creates that first Easter morning as all of God’s creation rejoiced when they realized Christ Jesus had risen from the grave. From ladies with spices and lady bugs in flight to croaking frogs and hopping groundhogs, everyone celebrates the joy of the true meaning of Easter. This book appeals to all ages. Toddlers will love the bright and shiny illustrations, and even early talkers can try to imitate the sounds of the celebrating creatures.
