Three days until the lunar eclipse. Three days to save humanity. Three days to the war for freedom.
An eclipse should be a wondrous event. Not the end of freedom for humanity. For Maggie, they’re one and the same. In only a few days, the collectives will coalesce, and the forced assimilation of humanity will begin. Maggie and the team need to find a way to stop it, but they don’t know where to start.
While Maggie fights for knowledge, the rest of the team faces challenges of their own. Loyalties will be tested, obscure memories will break through, and betrayal may kill the only chance they have to remain free. They must stop the collectives, or stop making free decisions. Forever.
Don't miss this pulse-pounding epic third installment in the Interchron saga.
"This one was so full of twists and turns that you kept reading as you wanted to know what was happening around the next corner. It was amazing. I loved the book, and did not want to stop - I actually fell asleep while reading I wanted to keep going so much."--Michelle S., Amazon reviewer
Author of scifi, fantasy and dystopian. She lives in northern Utah and comes from a large, tight-knit family. Loves to bake, read, and watch plenty of T.V. And plans to keep writing until they nail her coffin shut. Or the Second Coming happens. You know, whichever happens first. ;D
A fantastic and emotional outcome. A fight for survival for humankind, a desperate run against time, the despair, the hope to coalesce the collective mind and freedom.. a fantastic overture of love and determination! More like people in real life than typical fictional characters. As the story comes to it’s conclusion, we find ourselves questioning our earlier judgements. Are the good guys really that good? Are the bad guys really that bad? Or is everyone really more alike than different, separated only by matters of degree, on the same scale of good versus bad. Fascinating read! I received an early version of this book from the publisher and my review is entirely voluntary.
This is the third book in the Interchron series. As with the first two books, I loved the science part of the story. The characters still come across as a little flat. Listening to the audio version, I feel the narration takes away from the story instead of enhancing it. I still look forward to the conclusion of the series.
The collective is at it again and Maggie must do all she can to stop them. Through this journey knowledge must be gained to complete the final outcome and loyalties between the group are tested in this final battle for humanity. Will light finally win over darkness? You'll have to read to find out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow, what an ending. This book is long but it went by fast. I couldn't put it down. There was a little bit of everything in this book- action, death, betrayal, heart-break, love, despair, hope. So much. And all in 3 days.

What if one could join their mind with another to the point there was no longer any misunderstanding? Would there be a harmonious community? But such a close link would also allow one to feel the emotions of another, all the sorrow, joy, pain, triumph. Perhaps emotions should be dulled so no person is overwhelmed by all the input from others. But then memories conjure emotion; better take care of those as well. Who would acquire the position of overseeing the group? Soon there are no true individuals, just the group mind. What if someone doesn’t wish to join? Are they given a choice? Add magic, science, time travel, and a great cast of characters to give you a bit of the premise for Dark Matter, the thrilling new adventure from L. K. Hill.
Scattered groups of individuals still exist. However their life is getting harder, more dangerous all the time. They must be ever alert for attack from Arachnimen who will steal their will and merge their minds to the group, the collective.
There is hope. Many individuals and small groups seek Interchron, a safe place within a mountain, and the faction there that fights the collective. A battle for the fate of humanity is approaching. Where will you stand? In the darkness or the light?
Filled with multilayered plots, friendship, family lost and found, loyalty and betrayal, this is an epic saga not to be missed!
Starting right where the events of book 2 left off, this installment in the series really started to bring together a lot of lose ends and answer questions posed by the previous two books. There was quite a bit of backstory included in the form of a journal that showed the parallels between the events leading to the collective's beginnings and the current events as the eclipse rapidly approached with the looming threat of the end off all free choice.
While there is plenty of action and new threats are introduced, this book tends to be dialogue heavy and often waxes philosophical. Many of these discussions lead to character growth and plot reveals, so they do serve a purpose and can be fascinating if you are intrigued by individual vs collective arguements. Ultimately, I felt it slowed the narrative down and took away from the urgency that should have been felt due to the timeline.
This book did not ever promise a conclusion to the conflict but the entire narrative felt like it was building toward an ultimate showdown between the two sides that would be ended decisively in favor of one side of the other. This did not happen. While the immediate threat was resolved, the overall shape of the conflict changed. So many lose ends! Which is ok, because I like this universe and look forward to the next book.
This is the third book in the Interchron series and builds on characters and events from the previous two books. Definitely a series that needs to be read in order.
Not over yet My interest is flagging. This book ends in a cliff-hanger. After a long and slow build up to the ultimate showdown between the individualists and the collectives at the lunar eclipse, it ends in a fizzer. The immediate threat is neutralised but there are even more loose ends. Alliances, betrayals, twists, turns, action and time travelling. Lots of dialogue and character development. A pure delight for lovers of dystopian adventure. These books need to be read in order, even so timelines and events can be confusing. Told from multiple POVs.
Dark Matter - an hypothetical form of matter whose presence in the universe is discerned from its gravitational attraction rather than its luminosity. It is opposed by the more dominant Dark Energy, the mysterious force that causes the rate of expansion of the universe to accelerate.
The narrator did an excellent job and the different characters were easy to distinguish.
I did in fact read and review the fourth book, Event Horizon, and the end is not in sight.
Title: Dark Matter Author: Liesel K. Hill Format: Audio Narrator: Robin Wasser Genre: Sci-Fi, Dystopian with a hint of romance Standalone: No Part of a Series: Book 3 of the Interchron series POV: Multiple Steam Level: Clean, some kissing 4/5
Dark Matter was a wild ride! I definitely did not see how it would play out and didn't realize that this would not be the last book in this series. In fact, Dark Matter feels more like a cliffhanger than either of the previous two books in this series. Like the first two books, Dark Matter is full of action, adventure, love, loss, twists and turns. Unexpected alliances, unexpected betrayals and everything in between. I didn't want to stop listening until the very end.
I received this audiobook for free from StoryOrigin. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Overall loved the series and loved the character development that kept going on during the 3rd book as well. I felt this book was a bit too long and slow compared to the first 2 but it tried to close the loop pretty well and did not leave too many unanswered questions.
Maggie's visions were easy for a reader to understand where they were coming from but no one in the team understood it. Similarly it was easy for a reader to see who the "brother" is but no one in the team sees that in the prophesy and those 2 things made me feel the plot was a bit weaker than the other 2 books.
Even with these things I was really engaged in the book and wanted to see how things would turn out and how against all odds the team would manage to handle it.
4-5 stars. The book was really well-written. Being a physicist, I did not always approve of how dark matter was mixed with dark energy and often distorted or misunderstood, especially since it draws on the terms from current physics. I read it with an open mind though, after all, it's fiction! And the ideas were interesting, so I really enjoyed the book. Another thing: This third book in the series was so long, that I was sure that it would end here, so I felt a bit robbed of a closure when I realized at the end, that the story will continue still (but not yet written). Kudos to the writer. I love how science fiction and romance come together in this series.
I absolutely loved it and just can't wait for the next book. Oh my gosh this book was so great, I found myself lost in the world of Interchron. I thought the characters were also very lifelike and so very easy to want to get to know more but to also win the battle that is before them. Who is going to be the ultimate winner, the horrid council of six that wants everyone interconnected or our team that is fighting for the right to be free individuals. This is a very exciting series with lots of suspense and romance that just keeps you wanting more. I received a free download of this book. This review is totally my own honest opinion of a book I really enjoyed.
I have really enjoyed this series. It drew me in from the beginning in book one. As did the other two books, this latest kept me riveted and I stayed up way too late to finish. I bought what was advertised as a three book series, however, the third book, left a lot of loose ends. Either the author didn't do a very good job of writing, or there are more books to come. I have a very small amount of money to spend on books, so this was a big disappointment to me. I splurged to get these and I will probably not get to know how it all ends. If a person has the budget to keep buying them, this is a great series to read.
Maggie and her friends and brother are back in Interchron. This time they are fighting the assimilation of all. You learn more backstory on the people involved while they are getting prepared to fight the Collective. There are highs and lows, deaths and births, successes and failures. I had a hard time not listening to the whole story all the way through in 1 sitting. This is a very spellbinding story. The narration is perfect for this story. I recommend this audiobook. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and this is my honest review.
This review is for the audiobook series. I really love the series and the characters which are fully developed and have their own voices. The author really makes you care about them and their plight. It's full of action which kept me listening long after bedtime. I highly recommend the books. While the narrator did a good job of making the voices clearly recognizable, I was often put off by the over-the-top performance. There were places this could have been taken down a notch or five. Would I still recommend it? Absolutely. 4.5-stars.
This was the third book in the series, and I enjoyed it very much. The world building was detailed and intricate. The characters were very complicated and likeable. There was a lot going on. and things were very intense as three days to save the world wasn't a lot of time. I appreciated the underlying physics theme that was found in the first three books of the series. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Robin Wasser's narration was entertaining, and her performance enhanced the story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
Continues in the series so books 1 and 2 should be read first. This series is awesome and this book continues with the same wonderful characters, storyline and page-turning action started in book 1 and carried throughout the series. This author is very talented and I would recommend this series very highly.

Another great listen. More of the story is falling into place and I love it. I don’t like the nice characters dying, but that is part of life when you have evil people around. And absorbing powers, sounds so cool. The story is well written and the narrator did a great job. Can’t wait for the next one to find out more.
I received a copy of this audiobook for free from storyorigin for an honest review.
This is book 3 in the series. It answers alot of the unanswered questions from the first two books and is definitely not a stand alone. Good dystopian feel to the story and the character development is good, but they still need to grow. I'd definitely recommend this series to anyone that enjoys dystopian works, but you need to read it in order.

This book was interesting, I listened to the audio version. It was long and confusing at the beginning. The science part was interesting but found the individuals didn’t seem to have many outstanding characteristics they seemed two dimensional. The premise of the book is darkness against light, or humanity and individualism against “the collective”. I enjoyed listening to it but feel like I should have read the previous two books so I knew what was happening
This is the 3rd book in this Series and a Whole lot is happening in this book. Quite a bit of clarity on what happened in previous book are addressed and concluded in this book. Narrator does a good job. This is a Series that needs to be read in order to understand what is happening with the various characters.
Awesome Story! A really great story. I couldn’t put it down one I started. I received the audio version as a gift and am happy to recommend this book. Enjoy!
Dark Matter, the third book in the Interchron series from author Liesel K. Hill. Picks up where book 2 left off! 18 hours 4-minutes/638 pages of great writing. Owning both the Kindle &Audible editions I was able to follow along while being read to, thus adding even more pleasure to the reading experience. Narrator Robin Wasser's narration adds to the book's enjoyment. Three pseudonyms, 3 different genres. All good. I’ll be reading more from this author no matter what pseudonym or genre she writes! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
This book was extremely amazing. Just like the first two. I expected it to be the ending of a trilogy, but now I sincerely hope that there will be more books!
I received a copy from BookSprout in exchange for an honest review.
What a rollercoaster! I enjoyed how this third book played out. My heart was held captive through most of the story. This book pulled so many things together, but there are still things that were left hanging.
Despite the great story, there were so many errors, Tenessa was Tenessee in places. Wrong words, duplicate words and misspelled words took away from an otherwise entrancing book. I hope these things are fixed before the release.
There was more adult language in this book, along with hinting at sex. There was plenty of violence and death. There was heartbreak, betrayal, despair and hope. I thought this would be the last book, but now I think there is at least another. I do like that the author has not rushed the story, it feels like its just unraveling. I recommend this series, just make sure you have time to read it because you will not want to put the books down until the very end! 4 stars
