You know what sounds awesome? A trip to Italy. Fun, sun, and Italian food, am I right?

Only I won't be there for any of that. No, I'll be working on a quest for Hades.

Yeah, that's right, the Lord of Death has his eye on me, and if I don't succeed, well, even death won't protect me from his wrath.

Discovering that Greek gods are real, our heroine is now working on a quest for Hades. Failure is definitely not an option, because the cost of that is something you don’t ever want to think about.

Ruby was Cheyenne’s mentor. She was a daughter of Poseidon. But she had Parkinson’s disease and struggled to complete the projects the Academy asked of her. So Ruby and Cheyenne made a bargain to have Cheyenne work on the projects while Ruby instructed her. It worked out perfectly for both of them. But now she was dead. They said it was suicide, but Cheyenne knew with certainty she would never do that. And she thought that the General, who hated her, may have very well had something to do with what had to be her murder. The healer, Darren, told her Ruby’s Parkinson’s disease had been getting worse and even his treatments hadn’t been able to help her much. She truly did want to give up.

Cheyenne was feeling all her arguments knocked down, and as she was sadly contemplating acceptance of Ruby’s death, the Eternal Flame popped out of the jar and changed colors – to a RUBY hue. And Cheyenne realized something wasn’t right about this whole thing. She could not give up now. It didn’t matter how Ruby died. She was dead. There was no coming back from that. But what if there was? And Cheyenne decided that she had to go to the Underworld and bring Ruby back! At the very least, she would ask her why she would commit suicide, if she said she had. Was Cheyenne ready to take on this challenge? And what truth would she find out?

ONE INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE!!!
Awesome! Melody pegs this bad boy from the get go, spinning this skillfully composed delight, revving up the intensity, laying out one killer storyline and gripping plot, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Sparks fly as drama, danger and suspense ensues in epic proportions. Ditching the boundaries and pushing the limits, displaying the strengths and weaknesses being weighed and balanced, propelling this jewel forward without a hitch, launching it into a tailspin with a life-changing culmination. Satisfaction rocks this bad boy, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, riding roughshod and imparting one jaw dropping dynamo, launching this baby to a whole new level. Dynamics and countenance in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. The characters are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow, transforming into genuinely relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and depictions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Melody, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Cheyenne’s loyalty and belief in a friend will bring surprising results. Cheyenne is enjoying her summer with her mother, and Ansel will be joining them before the new semester starts. They learn where hers and her mother’s seer abilities come from. Her mother is a descendant of the Oracle of Delphi. But her summer vacation is cut short when Ansel comes early with news that her beloved mentor and friend Ruby is dead, supposedly of suicide. This news starts Cheyenne on a journey. A journey to the underworld to meet Hades and Persephone, and a trip to Italy to train under one of the cyclops, she gets to meet a sibling, and gain help from another goddess. And to go up against the traitor of the academy again. But when they meet again, there are clues that Esme isn’t who they thought she was, and Cheyenne will have to make a decision. Who to save in the underworld. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

Great FL, Supportive friends, adoring boyfriend , and a whole lot of adventure

9/10 S P O I L E R S
Cheyanne was a great heroine. I’m excited to read the third book when it is released! At first i found her disregard of respect towards her superiors a bit irritating at times but then i realized that she has to defy orders to change them ! And that was clearly shown in the last chapter. I really liked how different hades reacted to her staying true to her word and i think that last scene with him really tied this book nicely. It made me feel relieved that Cheyanne had earned his respect in a way. It makes everything she does worth while. I really loved her loyalty to her friends and while her relation ship isn’t the focus, i appreciate how trusting he is. They were so cute in this book and I’m glad the author didn’t do the whole “is he still inlove with esme” thing- plus that esme turned out to be a pawn and now a new friend !! Great addition.

Note: I received an advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another great read in this fantastic series. I’ll avoid spoilers, but I will say that Melody Rose continues to give us twists and turns. The characters continue to bring up great flirting, self exploration and you’re reading to see how our heroine will get this this new change in her life.

Characters are as great as the last books, I didn’t once get bored and tired of the storyline.

If you enjoyed the first few books - this one should be a no-brainer. It’s a great series with some romance, adventure and magic in this Greek gods setting!

Addicting!!

These books and the adventures that Cheyenne has to face have been amazing. This author really knows how to reel you in with her words and the depictions she describes so well. I loved every moment.. and not all of it has been good but Cheyenne following her instincts have never led her astray and I hope she continues to follow them and find her father soon so she can kick some butt!

Three Reviews in One

I have found most stories involving gods devolve at some point. When introducing characters of ultimate power it's pretty hard to keep interest, tension or awe in the story. Melody Rose has a unique take on the gods and demigods and has held my interest through three books without repeating herself. I like all the characters and the romance developed naturally.
I look forward to the next couple of books in the series. Good job!

Great reading!

This is one of those books that you just don't want to put down. The crazy twist and turns kept me turning the pages. Now I just want the next book!!

One of the things I look for is to see if there is any growth. I can honestly say that there is so much development in the characters in the story. I even see it in the smaller characters.

There is only one bad thing I have to say about the book. It really needs to be re-edited again.

I loved this book. It was sad and heartwarming. Another year at the academy finds our mc character attending a funeral which leads her to an epic adventure in the underworld and in France. We also uncover who is really behind all the attacks on the school and what is in store next for our mc. I can't wait for the next book to see if she will find her father and what happens if she does.

I’m loving this series and this is book 3 in The Academy of Olympus. Cheyenne’s friend and mentor Ruby had Parkinson’s and she was found dead Cheyenne was told that it was suicide but she doesn’t believe it so now Cheyenne is going to Italy and then the Underworld to try and find out the truth. This is a marvellous series and I definitely recommend this book.

OMG

I’m hanging by a limb here. I wanna punch the Generals head off and jump on the bandwagon. There just has to be a fourth book, cuz I’m dying here. I’m hoping it comes out soon. I’m addicted.
Ok sorry that was a bunch of drama. But I just finish the book. Everything is still in my head.

Great Book

I loved the spin on this supposed bad person we all came to know in these first 3 books. I didn’t expect it. I loved how the story got more interesting. I am sad to see we don’t get to know Erich more. I can’t wait to read more!

Elysium or Tartarus?

The story is okay except for Cheyenne's character being too disrespecful - it's just too much for me. I may be a rebel at times but I know when to pause, unlike how her character was written.

The typos throughout this book made deciphering a lot of content exhausting. Need waaaay better proofreading before allowing these to be published
