A GIRL ON THE RUN A PUZZLING MISSION And a twist he never saw coming...
When Homeland Security investigator Ryan Savage receives a letter from a former adversary asking him to protect someone he loves, Ryan isn’t convinced that it’s not a madman’s last laugh. But when further inquiry convinces him that there might be something to it after all, he exchanges the subtropics of the Florida Keys for the dark swamps of Louisiana.
He arrives in the isolated town of Dellenoux, where his attempt at engaging local law enforcement comes up short. Something about the town doesn’t seem right, a suspicion that is quickly confirmed when an FBI agent arrives in town just behind him, working a side investigation of his own. The two cases appear unrelated, but when a harrowing shootout nearly leaves Ryan dead, he’s forced to take a fresh look at the evidence and quickly change tactics.
Redirecting his focus to a suspicious corporation on the outskirts of town, Ryan finds himself once again having to bend the rules to get at the truth while a ruthless assassin continues an unrelenting hunt for someone Ryan had sworn to protect.
Never one to back down, Ryan finds himself confronted with an entirely new kind of evil, one that will have him examining the limits of human savagery, and once again forcing him to decide between his career and the truth.
Jack Hardin currently lives in Arlington, TX, with his stunning wife and five kids. He grew up in an Army family and spent half his childhood living in Germany, traveling all over Europe prior to the fall of the Iron Curtain. At nine years old he walked through Checkpoint Charlie and into East Berlin just one year before the Berlin Wall came down. He holds a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, is proficient with bo staff and nunchucks, and has taught women's self-defense.
Those alone do not make him awesome, but it all sounds really cool.
You’ll find Jack’s books to be in the same vein as Wayne Stinnett, Dawn Lee McKenna, and Randy Wayne White. In other words...dig in...you’re about to be seriously entertained.
Jack is driven by grace, the bedrock of his Christian faith. Shoot him an email and let him know what you think of his books. Or to give him your opinion of the moon landing, or whether or not you think it's a sin to squeeze the toothpaste tube from the middle.

Books 1-4 in the Pine Island Coast Suspense Series form one larger story arc, with everything tied up in Book 4. Books 5+ will all be standalone installments.
What a great read in a great series by a great author! Jack Hardin, you are the man. Your books & writing style are awesome. This one had a few editorial mistakes, but even my OCD took a backseat to plowing through this story. Keep on keeping on. Can’t wait for the next one!
I have read the complete Savage series and love them all, characters well developed and likeable and full of spirit, plot flows smoothly and all l.oose ends are tied up,nothing left hanging to leave you saying but what about this? Recommend highly
Just like the other books this one is well written and clean. Love these characters and the cases they go after. A lot of plots and action equal a great read.
I enjoy every book by Jack. I’ve read each book in his Ryan Savage series and Ellie O’Connor series. Great plots, great characters and terrific energy throughout.
