Thank you so much for Netgalley and the publisher for providing me this e-galley in exchange of my honest review!

This review is based on my 1 month experience using the book. I was super excited to dive into this book and use it daily. I have always wanted to have a Bible journal/Praying guide book. I love how much it helps you guide you in your daily Bible reading, and also journaling. It always has a morning Scripture and one for the evening with the following praying.
I belive it is a useful guide for the Bible and gets into the daily routine to read it more and reading through the Bible in a year! I am sure i will be using this through the year.

The only inconvenience I experience was that in an e-book format, it is a bit hard to separate the morning and evening readings because there is no clear breaking up between the Scrioture line and the prayer.

My spouse purchased this daily Bible devotional for me last Christmas. The premises is fantastic and helped me to stay focused and provide meditation/reflection time before bedtime. What I did not care for is the author's prayer blurb after each reading. The author mentions being in a nursing home and other personal intimate views/opinions that did not reflect back to my personal situation with much of the verbage not easily interchangeable. Also the morning reading required a Bible nearby to read the verse for the opening daily prayer where the evening verse was listed making it cumbersome to go back and forth between.

Nice devotional, quick read. Great that the devotional is for a year. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

A Reading Plan combined with Prayers and Devotions
"Read & Pray through the Bible in a Year. Morning and Evening Devotions for Women" was compiled by Barbour Staff and published by Barbour Publishing, Inc. The goal of this compilation can be found in the introduction: "God asks you to meditate on this precious gift and to make it a central part of your life. And He promises that if you do, He will make your way prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8). As one of God’s children, you simply cannot ignore His Word. The more intimately you know the Bible, the more fully you will come to know and love the Author. Look forward to how God will change your life as you read through and pray on His Word this year." Every day lists a passage from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from the Psalms or the Proverbs. It is combined with a morning prayer, followed by a Bible verse from the listed passages and a very brief devotion entitled "Evening Reading."
The book is presented in a great layout and graphic design. It also contains a Scripture Index which is very useful for readers who search a devotion for a particular Bible reference. I recommend this book for readers (and it can be also used by men) who want to have a little bit more than a stark Bible reading plan which can be also found elsewhere. I appreciate also the fact that the Days are only numbered and not dated which allows readers to start with the book whenever they want. They are not "forced" to start at the beginning of the years which provides flexibility.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I love this little devotional for soaking in Scripture through out the day. I'm not a morning person so having my quiet times early in the day just doesn't work. With this devotional though, I can read for a few minutes in the morning and still have content to go more in depth later in the day. I love that this book provides Scripture for both mornings and evenings, and can be read in just a few minutes if necessary. Each day provides a passage from both the Old and New Testaments, as well as readings from Psalms or Proverbs. In addition to the Scriptures, this devotional also includes encouragement, prayers, and devotionals for each day, making it a nice blend of both. This would make a sweet gift for the busy mom or anyone just starting their quiet time practice.

A tender invitation into the power of God’s word as you start and finish your day. Old Testament, New Testament and Psalms or Proverbs readings are provided each day. The prayers for morning offer a suggested prayer that reflect upon the main themes identified in the daily reading and then the evening readings leave you with reflections to meditate upon as your final thoughts for the day. I highly recommend a journal to track your own thoughts and growth. While designed for more personal reading, I can see how this would facilitate a small group study as well. I received a complimentary copy and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Read and Pray Through the Bible in a Year is a simple devotional that invites the reader to get closer to God by becoming more knowledgeable in His Word. The format of the devotions is simple and that makes it very welcoming. I really liked the format of the morning prayer to set the tone for the day, and the evening reading to serve as a reflection of the Scripture of the day. If I could offer a suggestion, it would be to add a morning reflection, in addition to the prayer, to frame what the verse is about. This would be especially helpful for people who are not familiar with the Bible because it would provide a context of the Scripture. Overall, very well done!

Opening book statement says it best, "Welcome to Your Year in the Word"
God will change your life as you read through and pray on His Word this year

As a Christian who recently chose to be baptized (baptized as infant),
I have been reading, studying, reflecting on the Bible lately more than ever in my life.
As I learn more of God's Words, I know more of God, and
I want to spread His Words, His Truth, His Love.

This book is a great way to read the Bible, to pray daily both morning and night.
There is a Scripture Index in the back for help if you need it.

So far I have really enjoyed this devotional. I love that it gives real life examples of trials and tribulations. I loved the simple format and beginning and ending each day with prayer and reflection. The verses were well put together with the themes. Although for review sake I read a few chapters then skimmed I think this would make a great gift for my Mother and sisters for Mothers Day. Thank you Barbour Publishing and NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Read & Pray through the Bible in a Year
Morning and Evening Devotions for Women
by Compiled by Barbour Staff
I did not care for this book but to be fair I don’t enjoy reading plans that skip around the Bible. This being said the prayers and brief devotional were nice. It wasn’t my favorite but this is personal preference not by any means a reason not to try it yourself.
I received this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review shared here.

I love devotionals and this one is the best I have read in awhile. I love how you can start you day with devotional and prayer and end your day with the same. If you are looking for a new devotional then I highly recommend this book. Barbour Publishers never disappoints.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and Barbour Publishers for my honest review.

Read and pray through the Bible in one year. This simple plan is reading the Bible and praying. All in one year. Morning and evening for about 15 minutes each. It’s perfect for when you want to read through the Bible in a year just add in prayer and you’ve got yourself a plan to get your relationship with God foolproof!!!
