I decided to go through this book as an exercise to develop, because I have played bass for a while, but not as well as I should like. Going through the course significantly challenged and improved my playing, and I was able to pop and slap far better than I was previously able to at the end. The learning curve might be steep for a beginner. The book comes free if you have a kindle subscription and want to check it out.
