Time Mage #2

Time Mage 2

Rate this book
New kingdom, new dangers… new women.

Time mage Rylan has just received an assignment he does NOT want: a diplomatic mission that will force him to leave behind his harem of beautiful female Apprentices.

Luckily he will be escorting the gorgeous enchantress Valasia… but that’s the ONLY lucky thing about the trip.

Things are rotten in the kingdom of Ivernwood. The king is insane… assassins lurk in the shadows… and the Overlord has recruited traitors who are after Rylan’s life.

Or so it seems. Before he can know for certain, he has to unravel a mystery that goes deep into the past… and which might spell disaster for Rylan, his harem, and every living creature alive.

Time was on his side… until it ran out.

Warning: this book contains harem elements and adult situations.

As far as this genre goes, the first book in this series was pretty decent. This one for the love of me, I had no idea why people are suddenly stupid for a good chunk of the book. I think the author overextended with the mystery attempt. The first one was harmless, this one tried and failed.

I suppose it's still better than most of the trash in the genre but I particularly dislike dumb characters.

Altough my comment on book 1 still applies (plot far from original), I did like it.
The way the story evolves is in my opinion, somewhat better than most "similar" series (ie. a young man that suddenly finds out he is granted with exceptional capabilities).
SPOILER: the discovery regarding the arch-villain towards the end is an original twist.

My only regret is that the book ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger (acceptable, since authors must earn their living), but book 3 not yet written (it seems) 2 years after this

Epic

O

I have been waiting a bit for this book to come out and it did not disappoint! I love the main character Rylan and am seriously considering naming my first son after him lol. A great story with magic, love, sex and adventure with plenty of plot twists to get you begging for more. Can not wait for the next installment

Good read

It took a while for book 2to come out but it doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed the character development and the movement of the backstory back to the front. I venture a guess that the pseudo good guys actually killed his parents which book 3 May reveal.
